We spent a lovely evening at this cute neighborhood restaurant, the food was really good, the portions were fair and the service was very professional, attentive and nice. I really wanter to have beef tartar for dinner as i saw it on the menu before our visit, but they had just changed their menu and didn’t have tartar anymore. Nevertheless our waiter asked the chef, and exceptionally I could enjoy their amazing beef tartar! Will definitely come back!

We had a wonderful weekend brunch with a beautiful view! The service went above and beyond, they even made us up a delicious homemade syrup when they had run out of maple syrup. Our meals were delicious and carefully prepared, right down to the side dishes and garnish. We had a 10/10 experience, thank you!

Very friendly Cafe and a beautiful location. There is a small outdoor seating area overlooking English Bay and a quirky little park. We had the cod fish and chips which were very fresh and delicious. It was served with an adequate amount of tartar sauce and a small salad. They also do take out orders of the fish and chips which would be nice to do if picnicking on the beach or in nearby Stanley Park.

We have dined here a few times, and we're always surprised that it isn't busier. The food is great, so is the service. The place should be much busier. I hope this recommendation helps.

Very expensive and although the quality was good we felt we were paying mostly for the location. In the 7-9 period when we were there, there were only a few other diners. We would not return, given other better choices in the area.

Lovely place for dinner overlooking English Bay near Stanley Park. Watched the sunset for the patio and it was perfect. The food got a 4 out of 5 stars because my salmon could have been better seasoned. There were about 4 beets and 4 mushrooms that came with it and I would have preferred more of each.

I did have the deconstructed lemon meringue parfait for dessert and it was fabulous.

My wife and I came here for the first time for Easter Sunday brunch. Her salmon eggs benny was great and the watermelon mimosas were very tasty. Unfortunately those are all the highlights. While our waitress was very pleasant the kitchen was slow despite plenty of staff and a half empty restaurant. My chocolate syrup French toast was a total fail. Doughy bread with very little syrup that was only semi sweet made for a dry and bland meal. I would have ordered some maple syrup but our waitress never came back to ask us how everything was until after we were finished which by then is too late. I didn't even bother to finish eating it. While I acknowledge we were sitting under a speaker the music was unnecessarily loud, too loud for conversation. If only the music was at least decent instead of the horrible lounge cover music we had to endure. While in a great location, we won't be in a hurry to come back. Too bad

The food looked & tasted great and was well priced. They were busy, but the bartender came to the table to get our drink order and then the server came to tell us about the specials. Recommend the Chipotle Seafood Bowl & The Crispy Baked Cod. Sharp room with good vibe & great view of the Beach. Will be back for the Patio.

Chef Saolo outdid himself with s very generous serving of Salmon Poke.
The Pork Shoulder that followed was exceptionally delicious. But the Cheese Platter! WOW!!! Such a wonderful variety!
Tamara was her usual, personable best.
Adrian whipped up an interesting French 75 cocktail.
All I'm all, I enjoyed another satisfying and delightful evening.

First time trying this place out, great location! Too bad that's the only good thing about this place. The server explained that they had a very busy day and "ran out" of few items on menu. This includes all small plates, fish n chips, steak, muscle & fries, pasta, all sides....
whaaattt....Are we on a candid camera episode? 😳
We asked well can you tell us what's on the chef's tasting menu? Server said she didn't know and it's a surprise? what the heck? Bottom line, the food that we did order was not impressive and over priced. No next time thank you!

We took advantage of Dine out Vancouver to try this place and reviews were good, so we wanted to try it. The service was excellent, we didn't feel rushed. Food was good but nothing spectacular. The dessert was disappointing. Nevertheless, I'd go back and try their regular menu.

We came for Dine-Out-Vancouver and were impressed with the menu, the imaginative wine pairings and the friendly, unobtrusive and knowledgable service. The portion sizes worked with the richness of the food so we didn't come away feeling bloated. I would definitely return again in the future.

We booked this for a nice Saturday evening date not realizing it was Taste of Vancouver (fixed price menu). The host was fantastic (best we've EVER experienced in Vancouver) and started our visit off right. We had a great high seat on the upper level and each ordered different items from the fixed menu. Everything was first rate and the wine paring was spot on. We can't wait to come back!

My fiance and in laws had dinner here on New Years Eve and I have to say this was the BEST dinner I've ever had. It was a multi course menu, and I couldn't have been more impressed. It was expensive, BUT you definitely get what you pay for. I'll be coming here again!

Beach Bay Cafe is a find in the English bay area. We very much enjoyed the fresh oysters, scallop ceviche, and my personal favorite, the octopus chorizo dish. Chef Felix creates amazing cuisine with the freshest ingredients in season. The cocktails are delicious as well, plus attentive service from the sociable team. We came back pretty quickly.

We were at this restaurant several months ago, shortly after it opened and had a wonderful meal. The food was fresh, amazingly tasty and the service great. We returned this week and were so disappointed. Gone was the great menu along with the great homemade french fries, the fabulous chicken etc. In it's place were frozen fries and inedible chicken. We won't be back.

Wonderful food, wonderful service, amazing view! We could not figure out how this place has not been discovered yet, as it was half empty on a Friday night. The seafood chowder was one of the best we'd had, light and creamy. Scallops, sea urchin and julienne apple dish was sweet and salty and wonderfully unusual. Having a lobster without having to crack shells (usually causing myself injury!) was a joy. The lobster itself was done perfectly. We finished with the chocolate mousse, dark and delicious. The decor is very light and summery, maybe a little too patio for a rainy Vancouver night. But the service was amazing and the food delicious with a beautiful English Bay view. What more could you ask for?
