Bella was closed because of the weather but we did get a phone call from Julie ahead of time, letting us know Master’s Lounge would be open and the Bella menu would be available. We were celebrating our Anniversary and we love the ambiance at the Bear Mountain Westin.
Both of us ordered tenderloin medium rare - beautiful cuts were brought out - mine was cooked to rare and since I really wanted to enjoy it, I asked for it to be cooked a little more. When it did come back it was well done. A little disappointing but overall still a wonderful evening.

the atmosphere was wonderful, fireplace was roaring, lighting has a nice golden glow. Service was excellent - attentive, personal and yet professional. Food was hot, everything came out together even with 6 different dishes ordered.

A bit pricey for the amount of food on the plate. The service was great and so was the ambiance . Ribs were a bit tough and the ravioli starter was a bit disappointing. My steak was very good and done to perfection.

The noise from the Masters Lounge really ruined the quiet dinner we were hoping for. The food was okay but I wouldn’t say that the price matched the portion. While my au jus was much sweeter than any I had had before, my dinner mates fish was underseasoned. We ate breakfast as well that morning and I paid $7 for 2 pieces of toast while I paid for $5.50 for 6 peices of bacon. The prices were a bit unreasonable.

We arrived at 8 pm after viewing the holiday lights at Butchart Gardens, so we were still thoroughly chilled! We were warmly greeted and seated right by the fire. Our hostess and waiter were welcoming and friendly, and even though probably nearing the end of their shift, smiling and relaxed. We ordered the seafood chowder and the pear and endive salad. Both came out very quickly. We also decided to order the chateaubriand even though it would take 30 minutes to prepare. It was perfectly cooked to medium rare and cut like butter! No special knives needed! The mushroom medley it was accompanied by was delicious. We were out the door within about 70 minutes of arriving, perfect timing as we still had an hour and a half drive to home up-island. Next time, we will book a room and stay overnight!

We enjoyed Christmas buffet brunch at Bella and it was a very nice experience. The server was very, very good and the setting beautiful. However, we would only return for a special occasion as it is quite expensive. The staff were wonderful.

The food was excellent. The website was misleading and did not make it clear that the $75 per person buffet was the only option. Our other choice for Christmas dinner and breakfast was the sports bar with a very limited menu. The manager was very accommodating and has special dishes made for us which we appreciated. Disappointed that the only bar had at least 5 sports screens on full-time. There was no music, even at Christmas. The meals were delicious but very expensive.

Very nice with very attentive staff. We ordered two glasses on wine then decided a bottle was better. I stood up to find our server and the person at the desk saw this and immediately came over to the table to see want we wanted. Very impressive

Tasting menu dry aged strip loin we learned was sous vide after it had been served. We have had numerous dry aged steaks of Tbone and Strip loin sourced from local butchers. This was the first dry aged steak that was extremely tough and cooked more to medium. The waitres said all steak are cooked medium rare so rare is not an option. The medium rae was pretty close to medium and we were told the house lighting would make meat look more medium. But it was very tough meat that lighting does not alter!! She did offer to provide something other than steak from the menu but the other main dish of Penne and beef tips had already arrived. Sous vide has it's benfits and can help keep costs down in restaurants but for the money feel dry aged strip loin should be seared & grilled. All other plates were average! Nothing to rate above 3.5.

We were there for the Thanksgiving buffet. Great selection and the food looked and smelled great./Wine selection pretty good.Some BC wines.There was NO music which is fine with me as I can carry on a conversation with my partner.The "maître d'" was very pleasant and the servers-two of them-were also pleasant and efficient.

My first time, so unexpected my sea food risotto was so delicious. I could have order
for one more. But too bad i was so full already. Our company from Toronto was so
full of ohhhhhs and ahhhhhhhs because she never in her wildest dream to have a steak
so well prepared and done to perfection.

The wines are all so affordable. The dessert is to die for. I will come back for sure. Maybe
with some more friends.

Thank you very much, for the waitress who waited on us. Very nice and friendly. And all the
the people who greet us, it was so welcoming.

We were a party of five that came to celebrate a pair of birthdays, and our experience was excellent. From the details taken care of by Bella staff earlier in the day (storage and presentation of a birthday cake), through the cocktails, starters, mains and wine, it was a truly memorable evening.

All that was lacking was more people dining as we nearly had the venue to ourselves throughout. Still, the ambiance was very good.

We'll be back for another great time in the future.

Bella had an exceptional offering of food. The buffet offered tenderloin au jus, roast chicken and several salad options as well as comfort whipped potatoes and amazing stacks of scallop potatoes. The tenderloin was indeed succulent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We never tire of the wildlife wandering across the greens.

Buffet was too expensive for $30 a head and $10 for a Caesar drink is outrageous! The food was good but too expensive for what you get. Chicken was served but no white meat...not right.

My OpenTable booking was at 10:30AM on Sunday. When I arrive the hostess isn't to be seen and there is another gentlemen already waiting. We waited for about 5-8 minutes and she showed up, being held up inside the restaurant. She was polite and orderly. I recommend to have two hostesses. Waitress and waitresses are friendly and approachable throughout. They notice diner's behavior and progress and acts accordingly. My mango smoothie came to be the way I imagined which is lovely. The fruit cup is more of a variety of fruits in a small container, with a hill of whipped cream on the side. Buttermilk waffle is wonderful coupled with sliced strawberries.

We were married here nine years ago and this was our first time back.

It's a drive to get there - but we were hoping it would be worth it, a pasta featured buffet at Bear Mtn!
Greeted well by hostess, the waiter was absolutely fantastic and deserves full marks.
The meal itself was extremely underwhelming and poor.

The initial table held lovely bread that was not fully sliced through and no knife was provided - leading to a mangling effect with two pairs of tongs - picture Edwards Scissorhands. Of course the wonderfully shaped balls of butter were rock hard and impossible to spread.

Next was the 'side' section. Potato Salad, Lettuce Salad, Tomato Salad, and some grilled asparagus. Scarce.

Then the 'meat' section, chicken and ribs. But it really was the thighs and backs of chicken (the low cost items) and rib ends that were about two inches long. Both were very tasty as they were covered in sauces. Both were difficult to eat as the bones far outweighed the portions of edible material.

So far this was surprising, we had expected far more selection and more depth to what was there so we were looking forward to the feature - the pasta buffet!!

Not so much. A pasta buffet that was comprised of only one type of pasta (penne).
A choice of a cream or tomato sauce was offered.
Several toppings were to be chosen to accompany the aforementioned.

The young man who helped me cheerfully put the toppings in the pan, consistently tossing the ingredients energetically over the portable heating unit. Then he added the pasta and sauce of my choice (cream) and continuing to agitate the meal over the burner. I took this opportunity to inform him that there had not been a flame on the unit since I arrived. He quickly turned it on, waved the pan over it for ten seconds and transferred my dish to a plate for me.

Dessert was likewise scarce.

Extremely disappointing evening. It's a drive, $30/plate ($100 with some beverages). The view and service were extraordinary.

Meal took a very long time to arrive and it was not overly busy

Risotto was hard and salty

Was charged for a more expensive bottle of wine then we asked for. Did get refund for up charge.

Have had a great meal here before but not this time

Beautiful setting overlooking the valley and golf course below. The Chateaubriand was outstanding and only $79 Canadian. Our waiter was attentive but not overly intrusive. Overall, a great dining experience.

The dinner itself was enjoyable however the "window" table we opted for happened to be next to the doorway to the outside patio AND was a direct pathway (very narrow due to adjacent table layout as well) for people coming and going from the "ballroom" next door resulting in high traffic and distracting nature vs the relaxing dinner out we were anticipating.

The staff were wonderful and service excellent, unfortunately the food was a little disappointing, we ordered an aged rib eye steak medium rare, mine came medium to medium done and my husband's was quite fatty. I brought it to the servers attention, and mine was immediately refired. The lobster mashed potatoes appeared very loose and not appealing. As I had to wait for my new steak, my husband had to start without me, it was his birthday dinner, and he was almost finished by the time I received mine. It spoiled the moment. I just felt for the price of the food, it did not deliver.
