    I went to the place last month and we loved it. Food, service and ambiance. But Saturday night it was terrible in so may ways. But first, the hostess was very good and tried to help. The waitress, Jennifer, was uninterested in us from the start. Waited a while for her. We ordered an appetizer with sauce but had to ask 2 different folks for a spoon and plates to serve it. We had salads and each a cup of soup. Only one cup of soup was delivered. Had to ask 3 people for the other cup of soup it came after the salad and my soup was done . I needed a knife to cut the large spinach in my salad but could not get anyones attention. So I took a new place setting off of another table. We then proceeded to way 30 minutes for our entree. We believe they were just sitting in in the kitchen and not delivered to us when ready. The chicken and fish special were just warm. Fish needs to be delivered when done. It was not good. I give this place a D. I am really sorry that it was so bad after been great last month. There are so many great restaurants around so we will not be back. Lastly, after we left, I got an email notification that the restaurant canceled my reservation. I had to go to Open Table support to take away the cancellation so I could write this review. Bella Saratoga knew they did poorly and wanted to prevent me from writing a review. Thank you to OT Customer support!!!

    Eaten here many times, but chicken sausage as one of the breakfast choices, was very dry because it had been cut open and grilled. I would think the chef would know that chicken sausages do not have a lot of fat and butterflying them would let all the juices dry up. Very disappointing.

    Food was very good! Our server was overall very good, friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. Service was a bit slow, but the place was very busy. The only negative was that we sat outside and there were A LOT of pesky flying bugs. We’ll definitely sit inside next time!

    The chicken walnut blue is an excellent menu item. However, the vinaigrette dressing was barely noticeable and lacked flavor. I recommend serving the dressing on the side. A variety of dressings to choose from would be ideal.

The staff, without a doubt, is the backbone of Bella Saratoga. Everyone, from the hostess to the waitstaff, exudes a blend of professionalism and genuine warmth that makes you feel valued and at home. This evening, we celebrated my friend’s work milestone, and the team went above and beyond to ensure it was memorable. Little personal touches, timely check-ins, and an ambient setting were just the tip of the iceberg. The highlight of our culinary journey was, without question, the lasagna. It was a masterpiece, perfectly layered with a harmony of rich, flavorful sauce, melt-in-your-mouth pasta sheets, and just the right amount of cheese. It was evident that much thought, love, and expertise went into creating this dish. Our evening at Bella Saratoga culminated in an 'over the top celebration for my friend.     Bella Saratoga is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in all of the South Bay. Food is outstanding, service is impeccable; location in downtown Saratoga is second to none. I would give it 100 stars if I could. You will never regret eating here.

    We chose to dine here based on the outdoor dining option; when we arrived we were told we'd have to eat upstairs because all of the other tables had "been assigned" and we made our reservation too late. Though we did have a confirmation for outside. Okay. Upstairs was pretty dingey, with old green velvet chairs (mine was broken), sateen drapes and an air conditioning unit on the floor behind us with tubes to the window. Overall pretty offputting. Our server was attentive, friendly, and very professional. Our only issue was a mix up with ordering; we weren't presented with the specials and ordered, and then heard another waiter extolling about them and had one of our orders changed. But it was handled and we didn't wait long for it. The artichoke was beautifully presented but very tough - about 1/4 inch on each leaf was edible. The lasagna wasn't remarkable but was hot; my halibut was very good and beautifully presented as well. Would we go back? No. Just a very tired establishment (from the upstairs to the bathroom to the many scuffs, tears, and more) that seems stuck in the 80s. With very good waitstaff whom I hope are tipped well (we did) despite the food and ambiance issues.

    I really do love Bella Saratoga's food and service. I have had their Halibut special 2x in the last 4 months, and both times it is was dry, slightly overcooked, and no seasoning. I love Halibut, so I hope they remedy this entree soon! On the other hand, the crab cakes, and veal piccata was delicious.

    Went there for my birthday dinner, just to try some place new. (No, they do NOT acknowledge your birthday, unless it was just a bad day for them) Was in the mood for Italian, so this seemed like the place to try. Started with the Gorgonzola Salad, enjoyed it VERY much. Very fresh tasting, Nice mix of textures and tastes. Recommend! I had the Short Ribs Dinner (I LOVE short ribs) the polenta was tasty, but the meat was very dry and flavourless. (DH tried some and agreed, so it's not just me) When I ran out of sauce, that was it for the meat. I do not recommend this dish. DH had the Veal Piccato, this was a hit! Not too much lemon, good sauce, definitely a recommend. Had the Bread Pudding for dessert, that was a great finishing touch, so yummy. Service was professional, pricing good, just a bit noisy but could hear our own conversations just fine. Met my SIL there for lunch not long after, and we had Linguine Bolognese (good!) Lasagna (Good!) and since SIL has a special diet, she ordered off the menu and had Linguine with Mushrooms (she loved it!) We ordered desserts to share: Bread Pudding (told you it was really good) Creme Brulee and another one I can't recall, but they were all enjoyed. Service was really good, server recommended items based on our questions, was very knowledgeable, helpful with the special dietary needs, and just the right degree of friendly. One thing to note, during dinner, several people ordered the Linguine Piccante, and we could overhear that it was delicious. One guest called it "Spicy but delicious" I'm planning to order that next time.

    I made reservations for dinner for my husbands birthday. I had browsed thru the menu and had picked out our food. Upon arrival they asked about my husbands bday. So we got our table but when they showed me the menu, I asked if we could order dinner - No. We should have just left. But we pushed on. I ordered shrimp with homemade pasta and asked for a caper lemon sauce. So when it arrived looked OK, however the pasta was not very hot and was hard. The shrimp did not have much flavor either. You know I have had early dinner at your restaurant over four times. So we were given cinnamon rolls with our meal. I asked for French bread since I we both had pasta. Nope none available?? Then no bday celebration?? So I ordered desert to go, but they heated the bread pudding and stuck the tiramistu on top so it melted!! I'm sorry but I won't be back. It was my husbands bday, but everything was wrong!! Disappointed!!

    One of our favorite brunch spots. However yesterday they seemed to be understaffed. Service was slow and trying to get staff attention to bring salt coffee or get the check took too long and was very frustrating. Food also seemed less well seasoned than we have come to expect.

    A beautiful restaurant with delicious food and fantastic service! Came here last night 7/26 celebrating a girls night away with my two closest friends. Gorgeous weather so we ate outside, great ambience. Calamari was cooked perfectly, something I order at every restaurant if it's on the menu-always a hit or miss. We ordered the chicken and shrimp Marsala, so flavorful, not heavy, one of the specials (had lobster in it) and the pesto gnocchi, which my girlfriend ate every last bite. Sorry I don't remember servers name, but he was very knowledgeable about the food and very nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

    We were attending a concert at the Mountain Winery and had early dinner here at Bella Saratoga. We mostly shared appetizers among the four of us, so we were able to taste many delicious dishes. We'll be back to have a more leisurely dinner to enjoy the great service and try more entrees.

    Bella Saratoga always comes through when it comes to truly tasty food. Usually, we enjoying a nice, relaxing meal where the fruit plate and cinnamon roll are served quickly, and after finishing those, the main course arrives. On this occasion, however, it took surprisingly long to get the appetizers, and then our main meals arrived shortly thereafter, and we didn't have adequate time to finish our appetizers. Still, we'll be back!

    Their Bruchetta is fantastic, Caesar salad was excellent. My husband enjoyed the minestrone soup and loved the Linguine Tuttu Mare entree. I had the Fettucine Bianco entree. I would have loved a scampi sauce. This restaurant is a neighborhood gem.
