    We’ve enjoy Benihana for lunch or dinner. Unfortunately, today we had reservations and waited over 15 minutes for our table. When the host took us back she tried to squeeze our party of 5 with a party of 4 on a table specifically for only 8 people. Yeah, that wasn’t happening. I went back to speak to a supervisor and she apologized but we still waited another 5 minutes to get seated . The other parties that arrived after us were seated before we were. How does that make sense? Exactly. Omar, our chef was nice and he prepared our food with care and full of flavor. Thank you.

    Food was delicious, but our chef seemed new. He wasn’t as confident with his showy tricks, which is a large part of the reason we went to Benihana. The other chefs were engaging and talented (there was a nearby table of kids that was thoroughly entertained by their chef). We were seated promptly according to our reservation, the restaurant was clean, and the wait staff was very attentive. We might give it another chance to hopefully get a different chef.

    Started out with a beer being spilled by the cook, we get it accidents happen. But, spicy rice was over cooked making it hard and crunchy, steaks were ordered medium rare and were cooked well done and there was a large amount of fat left on them. The soup and the veggies were really good and our waiter was excellent. Needless to say, based on this experience, this isn’t a place I’ll return to.

    We love going here BUT: There offer of $30 off for your birthday is not customer friendly. Even though you get the bar code on your phone you have to print it and the biggest let down was the birthday certificate is only valid Monday-Thursday. My birthday was yesterday (Friday)!!

    We were sat on time, and the Server was quick, and food good, but the chef was disappointing. He seemed to be in a hurry, and provided no real show other than yelling Happy Birthday at 4 of us at the table several times. Some of the meat was not completely cut.

    I asked for a fork to cut my steak, I was told they didn't have knives. I was told they'd search for a plastic knife. I immediately discontinued eating. I paid $65 for my meal, the cost doesn't match the value. extremely thin over cooked medium rare steak. The restaurant chain is run like a high-priced fast-food restaurant. I hadn't been in years, I decided to try it again. Never again.

    We love Benihanas and we had a great experience with our chef Fernando. He cooked our chateaubriand’s to perfection. It’s our second time with him cooking for us and we plan to ask for him every time we go from now on.

    Our chef Josue really knows his stuff! I have been to Benihana one other time and my steak was cooked to perfection. And my boyfriend agreed. We were both big fans and would come again for him!! Engaged in some small talk with him and we really enjoyed our time.

    I booked this reservation and had included notes that it was to celebrate a birthday and when we arrived there were Celebrations all around. When our chef came to the table he was the quietest chef in the entire restaurant we were not getting any celebration vibes or energy from him and ended up having to involve a manger. I will say the manager was amazing! He swapped out our chef for chef Aaron and he was 10/10 exactly what we were looking for at Benihana! All in all a great experience!

    Love Benihana, but this visit to this location was horrible I ordered the steak yakisoba with fried rice Fried rice, a Benihana staple was dry and undercooked. I’m okay with slightly al dente, but this was not that. Took it home so I can add some water and nuke tomorrow to finish the cook The yakisoba had no flavor and the steak I requested medium rare was cremated rubber. Didn’t eat a quarter of it And you do NOT get a steak, the steak provided is about 2 - 3 oz of thin steak shavings which is probably why they couldn’t do medium rare and instead incinerated it. Other teppan grills have always provided an actual steak with yakisoba.. that is not the case here. In fairness this is the first yakisoba I’ve ordered from any Benihana, so maybe they all have the same recipe/ procedure. If so, I would suggest you avoid it

    Worst experience I have ever had at this restaurant. Server had bad attitude and neglected the table. Chef was very sloppy, food all over the place, strange cuts and uneven distribution. Ordered steak and lobster, never even seasoned the steak just put it on the table, heated both sides and poor sliced before flopping onto our plates. Probably will never go back based upon the poor service, under prepared food and expensive price point. Sadly disappointed, tried to take the wife out for a special meal and we both left wondering what happened to the quality this location use to provide.

    Fried rice was burnt and the cook did zero show the other chef and received my steak with a lot of fat on it. I’ve eaten over 100+ times this was by far the worst.

    We checked in a few minutes before our reservation time of 8:15 pm and waited another 15 minutes after our reservation time before we were seated. Our drink orders were taken and served in a decent time manner. Our soups were served several minutes later. After another 15 minutes or so, we received our salads. An hour passed, and we saw many other tables seated after us being cooked their meals while we, along with the other party seated with us, waited as patiently as possible. It took over 45 minutes before a cook finally arrived, and the waiter and staff knew our table had been waiting for so long. My group had a 6-year-old child with us. When a child says things like "Our chef is taking forever" and "He's making us starve," THAT is not good. Our chef (Fernando) arrived around 9:40 pm and cooked our meals. He did a fabulous job entertaining us and making us all great meals. Sadly, it was so late that our child was ready to sleep as she finished her food. She barely hung on to wait for her dessert. We were not even compensated with a discount for the inconvenience of the long, unnecessary wait. Both parties at our table were tempted not even to tip. We will very likely not be returning to this location again.

    We called to see if there was a chance we can be seated earlier than 7pm. They informed us that if the entire group was present, they’d seat us. We arrived at just before 6pm and again they said that if everyone was there, a group of 10, we’d be seated. Which was not the case, we were seated 15 minutes last 7pm. Had they told us they wouldn’t be able to seat us, we wouldn’t have arrived when we did.

    The hibachi steak entree and everything that comes with it always great. Also their chicken fried rice is great as well. Our chef was excellent and our waitress was on of the best we have experienced. She constantly checked on us, was fast, efficient and friendly.

    I aways come to Benihana's for either mine or my husband's birthday. We are never disappointed! The food is exceptional, the atmospere is joyful and the service is perfect!     Beware Benihana Anaheim will trick you. My Family of four ordered their "Dinner Specialties" which included rice. Server had asked each everyone "WHITE RICE or FRIED RICE"? When bill comes surprisingly they added $7 extra cost for choosing fried rice! We got excess food left for take out. I asked for their sauces to take out, never come. Steak filet mignon & chicken have no taste. Too bland. You have to pour a sauce to have a taste. The menu on their website are bogus. The items and prices are absolutely fake!!!

    We were seated quickly and were able to get food and drink orders in quickly but without pressure to hurry. The chef seemed to be in a rush this time, and the ‘show’ part of the dinner prep was not as memorable. The food was great as expected, and there is enough to take home extra for lunch the next day. Drinks were kept full throughout our meal. Overall, a very good experience.

    My family and I have eaten at this location well over 20 times. This was probably the worst experience I’ve had at this location. Once they realized that there would only be my wife and I and our 3 children at a table, our whole experience changed. I think the name of the game was get them out as fast as possible. The waitress was ok except for bringing the check right after the chef finished cooking. We had just started eating and I already had the check on the table. The chef blazed through our food and the whole Benihana experience. We got a quick version of the train and some burnt shrimp. The chef forgot to give us the sauces before cooking so we had to wait for him to serve them. He didn’t seem to happy that I interrupted him for the sauces but we had our proteins in the plate already. Prices have gone up but they cut the mushrooms from some of the meals because the chef only gave me mushrooms. I had to ask for some for my daughter. I guess I will try a different location next time or maybe even a whole different hibachi place

    Thank you to our Chef Fernando. He gave all of our food a very deliciously special taste. Amazing!! On the other hand the soup and the salad were extremally salty. Almost uneatable. The service by our waitress and hostess was good.

    Good and experience were good. Hibachi needed more garlic all the way around and the Yakisoba needed more sauce. Protien’s were cooked to desired temperature and the food was good. Quite expensive for what you get, you really are paying a premium for the experience.

    We came in from Nevada for a conference and it happened we had a birthday girl with us so we came here for fun and food. They delivered on both, we enjoyed our food, drinks and the service!!     This isn’t our usual location but we were going to a concert in the area. The Manager was very nice, and handled herself quite well considering how busy they were. Our chef/cook was kind of loud and overbearing and I didn’t feel like he understood any of our requests, as we’d be trying to tell him, he would over talk us asking us if we wanted this or that, while we were trying to answer his question. The rice was not cooked to the standard I’m used to, no flavor at all, no pumping heart display with the rice, no volcano with the onions. I had teriyaki steak and teriyaki chicken, I wanted my steak well done, he did not trim the fat off the steak as usual saying the customer has to ask, I’ve been eating at Benihana’s for decades and I’ve never seen them not trim the fat, and he started doing something else after I told him to trim the fat and let the steak cook some more because I ordered it well done, he was trying to give it to me fat and all medium well. He left it on there too long like he forgot and I gave up trying to over-talk him! So they were like little hard rocks on top of rice that wasn’t seasoned all the way through, hardly any chicken or veggies in the rice, it taste like plain rice almost, he definitely needed to stir it up a lot more. My daughter enjoyed her food but she ordered lobster and medium temp on her steak, and he cooked the lobster first before the chicken and steak I’ve not seen it this way, usually it’s after because the seafood doesn’t take long. So my daughter was done eating her food by the time I got my complete meal which was just uneatable, I enjoyed my soup and salad as normal but no experience on this night!

    The food and the chef were amazing. The wait was over an hour after being seated waiting for our chef. The sad part was that this was my sister's birthday, and we didn't have a chance to enjoy the servers sing happy birthday or have desert.
