   This was our first visit and unfortunately, our last. It is dated and needs to be overhauled. The ladies room was unbelievably filthy! Had I used the lady’s room prior to being seated, we would have left altogether.

    The food was horrible. Despite the fact we got servied mostly vegetables. No seasoning on the food. For spending all the money I did. An to get small portions of food. I would not be returning. Very disappointed!!!

    Considering our chef was newer he did an okay job with presentation and tricks. He did not seen to prepared with all ingredients needed. The waiter was okay, he would disappear for a long length of time and ever so often come to check up on us. He was a little hard of hearing what we would ask for. For all of the food we ordered it was a bit pricey!

    We are so impressed by their GM Josie and their staff Lyba. On this day, we decided to sit in the bar area/sushi station. And though they were extremely busy, Josie and Lyba took good care of us and made my Birthday special. They checked on us often making sure we're taken care off. This is going above and beyond. And their service is top notch. We appreciate how our Hibachi Entrees came out perfectly cooked too. Though this Benihana location in Lombard is much farther than Schaumburg, we would rather dine here especially after receiving an exceptional dining experience courtesy of GM Josie and Lyba.     Food was good. Drinks were good, but the temperature inside the restaurant was cold and made it uncomfortable. The initial service was slow at first but it improved. The bill was exceptionally high.

    We’ve always loved Benihana for family celebrations, and had a great time on our daughter’s 18th birthday! The portions seem to have shrunk a little, and my favorite - the scallops - were not cooked quite right. Although this was a little disappointing, overall everything was good.

    My husband's scallops were way overcooked. They leave the food on the grill way too long. Seafood cooks quickly! Prices are very high, so you think they would know how to cook the food correctly.

    Food was great as always. Chef made the food perfectly and was very entertaining. Never felt rushed but never had a long period between Courses. Always come here for my wife's birthday and see no reason to not keep the tradition going.

    I’m a pescatarian that doesn’t eat dairy or eggs and I notified them that, yet the cook still cooked my vegetables on on the grill at the same time as the meat and butter was. He took the mushrooms off a plate that had bloody steak on it. The blood from the steak had sautéed in the mushrooms. They also only served me 2 slices of a zucchini that was cut up and a piece of a onion. I will not be returning. The portions that they give out is not even a hand full of food. It’s definitely not worth the money.

    A Rollercoaster of Flavors and Shrinking Shrimp at Benihana Lombard If you're looking for a culinary adventure equal parts nostalgia and mystery, then Benihana in Lombard, Illinois, is the spot for you! My wife and I recently ventured into this hibachi haven on a Saturday night, reminiscing about the good old days when shrimp appetizers were more than a mere mouthful. Our anticipation was piqued upon being greeted by the teppanyaki chef, ready to dazzle us with his culinary acrobatics. However, it quickly became apparent that the once-generous portions we remembered were now subject to some reverse growth spurt. The shrimp appetizer that once resembled Poseidon's bountiful harvest now seemed more akin to a kiddie pool catch! The mushrooms accompanying our steak had a prior engagement elsewhere, leaving us to wonder if they had been rationed in the face of some fungal shortage. It's a sad day when the number of mushrooms can be counted on one hand and leave fingers to spare. But fear not, dear reader, for the pièce de résistance was the spicy chicken fried rice! In a bold move that would make Jackson Pollock proud, the chef doused the rice with a small dollop of hot sauce, turning our plates into a mess. The result was less "spicy chicken fried rice" and more of the top tasting like "flaming rice ." What is the extra price for this transformation? A small fortune, my friends. Despite the culinary rollercoaster, our evening was filled with laughter as we pondered the mysterious case of the shrinking shrimp and elusive mushrooms. So, if you're looking for a unique dining experience that'll leave you chuckling (and perhaps yearning for the Benihana of yesteryear), then Benihana Lombard has got you covered.     My tuna entree was somewhat to be desired. Definitely did require the chef to cut with his knife because it was stringy and unmanageable with my fork. Upon a prior visit the tuna steak was tender and excellent.
