   Service was taking forever. Got the wrong sushi, chef didn’t have enough scallops that were ordered. overall was decent but not the best service.

   Service was horrible. Our server got us drinks and wasn’t back to our table after. We had 9 very large adults at the table and you couldn’t get to the table to eat over the plate. I had to pick my plate up and hold it. We didn’t get our white rice until the very very end and we had already finished our food. Not a great experience for our first time here. We have been to many places like this but this is we by far not a great experience.

   The manager, or the guy that seated us was very rude and we weren’t seated timely considering we had a reservation. It took a long time for food prep to start. I was not expecting to be there for three hours. Great food but too pricey. I won’t be back.

   The menus need to be wiped down. There were two of us and we each had a drink menu and food menu. They looked dirty & greasy on the outside & when you opened them they were sticky, had dried sauce in pages and they were generally stained. So gross. It makes you wonder how dirty the kitchen is. The bathrooms were just as messy & dirty. Before Covid it always was clean and felt like the place was cared for. I’m sure they are short staffed like all places. The food and service was still good.

   We had reservations at the Mall of America on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was running behind, which is no big deal. But we sat at our table for 45 minutes without even receiving waters, though they did bring salad. We placed drink orders upon sitting, and they never came. The couple next to us said they had ordered green tea an hour ago and was also not being served. We ended up just leaving because it was soooo long without service. The waitress ran after us and tried to give excuses. It was my first time at a Benihana’s.

   I want to let you know that our server Alicia was amazing. Our chef Pedro was amazing too. However when I tried to tip my server and cook I was told by Alicia that the restaurant does not take tips on credit card. This is not acceptable. I did not have any cash and I don’t have Venmo. I was very disappointed

    We waited maybe an hour and a half to start. The grill wasn’t on. My husband got some stomach bug. We’ve been there many times before and never had this issue. The chief was amazing though.

    We had a reservation for 4:45pm. We’re sat at the hibachi table around 4:40. Our Hibachi chef came out at 5:54pm. He rushed through the food, the chicken was still pink in the middle so he had to put the chicken back on the grill to finish cooking. The plates were dirty and we didn’t even eat the food. My family came from out of town for my 8 year old nieces birthday and they never sang her Happy Birthday like they said they would. We asked for management and they only wanted to comp the appetizers. We were told that up to a 2.5 hour wait is standard. After going back and forth and being threatened to have the police come and make us pay full price for our service the manager said she will look at our plates and measure how much we are and them comp the bill. All 6 of us had full plates of food still except one of us so he comped us accordingly. Horrible experience for the kids and for us. Will never go back.

    Our server, Myron, was not very good. Very slow at getting our initial drinks and then our order. Had to flag him down during meal to get a refill on son’s drink, never came back to check on other drinks, which I definitely needed a refill. Looked like he couldn’t handle the amount of tables he had. Can’t excuse that, as an ex-server myself, busy is good and should make you work harder and faster to get better tip. But you guys automatically add the tip in to the bill which is a crock because then I can’t adjust my tip to reflect his service. Our chef was very good though.

    Our server was great, but we had a reservation and still waited a half hour. Our chef appeared to be very new and while he was kind, the food was just okay. The shrimp had not been cleaned and even after cooking, it was difficult to eat. My entree was delivered at the same time as my appetizer (only mine). The food was extra peppery which was different and did not reflect prior experiences. While walking to the restroom, it was clear the cleaning service is not focused on actually getting the floor clean but just moving dirt around. The corners were covered in dirt and grime. Benihana has always been one of my favorite restaurants but I will likely avoid the MOA location in the future.

    I enjoyed the food and the staff very much. I was less impressed with the billing of a 20% surcharge that left me wondering about how much more tip I had to leave, which I had to do with cash. Bad system!!

    The food was good, not memorable, but good. It was hard and frustrating to 2 rounds of drinks through out the meal for our party of 4. As a part of our meal, we were not provided the hot tea or desserts. While not receiving these items is not the end of the world, one should get what they are paying for. Benihana could do better on their attention to detail.

    Awful experience. Our server took our order and we didn’t get our food for over an hour. One party at our table with small children left before the food arrived. The food was good. But it took talking to the manager to get our food out. Then once we had finished dinner we had to wait for 45 minutes before our server came back to check that the food was good, at which point we had all been done for a long time. Will not go back they clearly need to figure out guest service. I have a pretty low bar and their service fell far below that.

    It took over an hour before we started getting food, even though we had already been sat at our table. It was pretty disappointing considering we made a reservation for a specific time. It felt like they just didn't have enough chefs to get to us at a reasonable time.

    Service was slow and took our entire meal to give us a second glass of water. We were not served two of our 6 items on the special menu. I received chicken fried rice vs shrimp fried rice, we didn't get the steamed rice we asked for till most of our meal was eaten.the place charged us 20% as a service charge add on to

    We were there for birthdays our reservation was at 745. It took about a half hour for everybody to get their drinks and probably another hour for them to start on food. We did not get out of there until around 10 1015. We have never had service like that any of the times we have gone.

    Dinner was Ok, our table of 10 took forever to get a chef. Reservation was at 8:30 and Chef did. It show up until 9:30pm. Food was ok but overpriced for what it is. Kobe is much for cost effective with better food. 20% service fee is too much these days especially if you are expecting people to tip over that. Just an Ok experience overall, we will stick to Kobe.

    Excellent food with an entertaining show by our chef as he cooked our food. Make sure if you go on the weekend to make a reservation (which we did) to ensure sitting at one of the hibachis. If you’re looking for dinner and “a show” this is the place to go.

    The food was good and we normally have a good time here. But unfortunately, we waited a very long time for food. Our table had a reservation for 3:30pm but the cook didn’t arrive to our table until about 4:45pm. Other tables that arrived after us had their cook at their table much before we did so our whole table, 3 different parties, were extreme frustrated and confused about that.

    We had reservations, once we were seated it took over an hour for the chef to come. There needed to be more staff.

    I was not offered ice cream a c the family of 5 at the table was offered cream. It was not fair. We waited a while before our chef came so toward the end I felt rushed to make room for others waiting so no ice cream was offered. Not fair since it spend $160 and I deserve ice cream.

    I have no clue what's going on with this location. Normally the food is good but this time it was dry and poorly seasoned. Normally we take out left overs and this time ir wasn't worth it to. I don't think we will be going back anytime soon.

    It took a hour for someone to take a drink order. It took another 30 minutes for food to arrive to be cooked. There was some confusion on who was suppose to attend our table. Everyone at our table knew about the mix up. They were speaking in Spanish not knowing that there were Spanish speakers at the table.
