Seated 30 minutes late. Got no food for over an hour. 3 meals had to be cooked in back due to allergies and were brought out cold. We were there 2 1/2 - 3 hours. No entrees until after 10:00. Sang happy birthday to everyone but my grandson and I. It was a birthday celebration that cost $315 and was an awful experience!

They got our order wrong a couple of times and I got sick because my food wasn’t gluten free even though they cooked it in back to be safe, and when they brought it out it was cold

Our food and service was good. When we got our bill the server opened it up, pointed to the service charge and said “this isn’t my tip this is the chefs tip.” Between the mark up on the food, the 20% service charge and the 20% tip i left i felt everything was far to expensive i thought.

Our server and chef were both very good. I was pleasantly surprised at how attentive our server was b/c often times they don’t check back enough. The restaurant could use a much needed face lift. The walls are scraped where the carts hit the walls. I think this was a major design flaw. They could have easily put something along the wall at the hight the carts would hit so they wouldn’t scratch and gouge the walls. They could also use a hood deep clean. With chefs grilling out where the patrons eat it makes everything around the grills a little bit messier and greasy. The service charge was a shock to me but I guess my husband saw a sign next to the door about it and they had another sign on the front desk. I think an automatic 20% service charge seems a bit steep especially when others don’t receive the kind of service that warrants 20%. I didn’t have a problem with it b/c our server and chef did well but I would have been upset if the service didn’t reflect the 20% charge.

Careful as of recently now they add 20% service charge to all tabs for the tip with out even asking. Went there with my fiancé and asked the waiter about it and he said that that’s what they charge now to all bills in place of the tip. When I asked why he said because he works hard and deserves it.

I normally don’t write restaurant reviews but our experience at Benihana’s was incredibly disappointing. Food was great as always and our chef / waiter were top notch. However, sitting down at 7:15 and not having a chef appear at our table until 8:20 was unacceptable. It’s obvious the restaurant couldn’t handle the amount of reservations and all patrons suffered. The restaurant needs to evaluate how many people to seat each hour if staffing is an issue.

Things have definitely changed since the last time I was there. It seems the prices have gone up (kinda expected). The fried rice is different. I’m sad they chop up the zucchini with the onions now. Our hibachi table was “broken” by where the chef stands & you could see how gross it was in there…. Kind of off-putting. However, service was outstanding. Chef was so fun, as always, and our server was so kind. This used to be our go-to place for date nights, but with receiving less food & the prices going up, I can make this at home now (not as fun, I know) so it’ll probably be our last time here. Very yummy though!

The food is always very good. I felt bad for the staff as they were understaffed so the servers and chefs were running a lot. It was a holiday so appreciate the individuals showing up and doing their best. I think a bit more attention needs to be paid to sanitation within the restaurant. The floods especially under the cooktops were dirty and there were dead bugs along the windows.

Waited over 45 min to have the chef come to our table. 2 people in the other party left after it took so long. Chef was not engaged with us and kept looking at the other side. We brought someone for the first time and we didn't have all the good things happen. Very disappointed. Waitress forgot to give the ice cream so had to say something. You ran out of sherbet which we wanted. Check was 169.00 and a service charge was added not sure what that was. Not coming back..

We made reservations for 2:15p. We were seated shortly after. At 3p we left because we were not greeted by any waitress or staff during the 45 minutes of sitting there. Very disappointed with the extremely poor customer service.

Arrived on time. Was seated at table in good time. Waiter was great getting drinks. He took orders for our meals. He kept sure everyone had the drinks refilled or new one brought. Then we sat. And sat. And sat. The waiter came over and said the cook is finishing up another table and would be over shortly. We thanked him and then we sat. And sad. And sat. The manager came over and appolizedfor the wait said they we short staffed. Asked if we needed drink refills. Then we sat hungry. After over an hour the cook finally showed up. When he started he went over our orders and they were not correct for the fried rice orders. He then made sure the rest of the orders were correct. Then he began the show. Great cooking skills. I never did get my tea. Had to ask for our ice cream. Finally it came. Then we were handed our bill and the tip was included but no decrease in the price for having to waiting for over an hour to get a cook. Just a thank you for coming. Hopefully next time I spend $65.00 for a meal they will let me know to bring a snack cause you will have to wait to eat and that you should make your reservation an hour before you want to eat. This is not the first time I had to wait. Aboutn2bweeks ago I sat in my car for 45 minutes waiting for an order that I was picking up curb side. Called the restaurant 3 times before I finally got my order. They need more help for better service.

The price has went and the food quality has gone down. Now I believe this restaurant has become over priced. Our cook did very two tricks. The floor around our table was not clean. I don’t think I will be returning. If I do only for cooked sushi.

Food and service were good. Prices seemed to have gone up quite a bit since I was last there. Major gripe was that they didn’t have any of the fans going above the cooking surface, so all of the smoke was was wafting over three seats in our group the whole time. I looked around, and none of the fans were going, so there was a smoke haze throughout the dining area.

We love going to Benihana because the food is amazing and our kids love the show. We went for lunch this time, and the chefs at this time are quite a bit less enthusiastic. We could barely hear what he was saying. But the food was great as usual. The waitress was very friendly and enthusiastic and she more than made up for the chef. The new policy of charging a 20% service fee automatically was very upsetting. We usually do give at least that much for a tip, but their policy does not specify how much of that actually goes to the server. So it leaves the customer either not wanting to tip at all, or leaving only a little and feeling bad because you have no idea how much the server will actually get. This made us not want to visit Benihana any time in the near future unfortunately.

Honestly the chef was the best part of the experience. It was our daughters first birthday and she got excited when she saw an egg and once we told him she liked eggs he cooked her her own scrambled eggs and kept them coming throughout the meal. The service was awful. I’m an incredibly patient person and I got frustrated. We were there for 45 minutes and had only gotten waters. The server never checked on us and was so incredibly slow. I felt bad for the chef at our table you could tell she had messed up the orders and he was trying to makeup for it.

We enjoyed the hibachi c,hef, Ricardo. The service was adequate. I think that the seafood is not very good quality. The idea seems to be to cover up the food with lots of strong seasonings and sauces. Even the rice was not very good. To make customers feel like there is some value for the price paid focus on the quality of the food.

I wanted colloso shrimp and teriyaki chicken. I was told that they could not add teriyaki to the chicken because it came lightly seasoned. I have been able to do that at multiple Benihana's. However, I could get the teriyaki chicken and add the smaller shrimp. How much does teriyaki sauce cost? Why can't you just upcharge for the sauce. Poor customer service. ***The good news is: Hector is the best cook. The experience improved by his mastery and his cooking skills are top notch. If I could request a cook, I would come more often.

Always a good time. The chef this time was not as good as others but overall it was still a nice experience. We got to bring our granddaughter (nearly 4) and she was fascinated with the experience.
