   We had a party of 10 and they were acting like they never had a party that big so food was missing and the chef had to keep going to get it but the chef was fabulous and our server was fabulous as well

   Had a reservation at 6:15pm, didn’t get seated until 6:30. Waited another 20 minutes before we ordered drinks.. another for food. 7:30 the chef finally came over and started to cook.. waitress never came back to ask if we needed more to drink, etc. she messed up our bills, so another wait to get that fixed!    Our reservation was at 5 and we were seated at 5:15. Our waiter did not come until almost 40 minutes in to our reserved time. Meanwhile other tables that arrived much after us were being served their drinks, soups and salads. My husband had to tell the hostess we hadn’t had anyone come to our table. No one came. I then had to speak to who I assume was the manager. He didn’t seem very apologetic or empathetic towards the situation. It still took several more minutes until our server finally came. After ordering drinks and food it took a long time to get the drinks. I honestly would have been happy with at least getting served my water to start with, but no.. I was ready to leave. Our drinks and starters finally arrived. The meal as a whole was almost 2 hours long which is unacceptable with the almost one hour wait time to simply get a water. After all of that we were comped about $12. Still charged the 20% service fee which is absolutely ridiculous after such horrible service. Not one apology was received. Manager never made an appearance at our table. Extremely unimpressed. I understand there are staff shortages, not sure if that’s the issue, but maybe decrease your capacity on customers then.

   Had 7pm reservations , Chef didn’t start cooking til 830- I had to pay a $20 gratuituy for horrible service? The waitress didn’t care & expressed NO CONCERN- my bill is $94 - RIDICULOUS

   This was not worth the price. They now add a service charge versus relying on tips, so the hibachi chef just seems to go through the motions since his "tip" is already predetermined.

    Im very disappointed that Benihana started adding a 20% service charge to all orders. This is making the experience more expensive than it is worth. We have always loved Benihana but a 20% service charge on top of charging over $6 a bowl of rice to simply add some vegetables to it to make it fried rice is insane. We won’t be coming to Benihana nearly as much as we used to. Plus the seafood was all very overcooked to the point where it was nearly impossible to cut through it.

    The food was great as usual. Service was also good. I will not be going back though! They add a 20 percent service charge which does not go to the waiter. There is no spot on the bill to add a tip. And even if there was a spot to tip. I’m not paying 40 percent extra anywhere to eat. I felt bad for the waiter. But no one can afford 40 percent of a 165 dollar bill.

    Walked in at 4:15 and didn’t get entrees until 6pm. Service was great for GF considerations but overall took a very long time for food and the table was crowded. Our two kids were itching to leave before we had any food.

    2 people, I Used the 30 dollar birthday certificate what a joke the 20% gratuity charge took most of that the gratuity is added before the discount.Had to wait on my rice extra 6 dollars for fried rice as the rest of the food was getting cold we sat In the bar area. I would not be back that was my last visit that service was not worth and 18 dollar gratuity.

    Overall everything was wonderful. Thee server was amazing. The chef we asked specifically not to do the fire due to my son being terrified of it and our party was only seated at the table and he did it anyways. Very disappointing. And an extra $6.10 for chicken fried rice rice on top of the prices is a little excessive. I wish OpenTable didn't split the tip between everyone and it only went to our server and I didn't have to give our server extra. $80 tip on a $230 bill is a bit much for me, personally. Bathrooms were DISGUSTING; out of toilet paper, hand soap and toilet seats were so gross, my little son put it up and threw it down. I've never in my life seen a toilet seat that disgusting.

    Worst service, we waited 45 minutes at our table before we had any service. Another 45 minutes before the chef came, only to find our grill was broken so we couldn't use our current table. Moved tables, but then our chef didn't interact at all. We ate, food was fine, boxes were brought over before any of us were done eating so we felt rushed out. Then we got home and all felt sick all night long. Never going back, why would we pay that kind of money for terrible service and to feel awful?!?

    Food was great! Service was meh. Chef was fantastic and engaging, however it was about 65 minutes from the time we were sat until the chef was available. An opportunity existed to be provided better feedback about the delay. Being a Sunday night, I can only assume that they were a bit understaffed.

    Our chef cart came without the sauce needed for my dish. My order was put to the side waiting for the sauce. As a result my dinner came with burned onions and vegitables, scallops and shrimp. Drinks are super expensive $17.00 for a vodka and soda. I will not go there again. I was with a party of 8.

    We went to celebrate my daughter’s completion of her first year of college. Food was amazing, as always. Our hibachi chef and server, though… Chef almost cut himself several times. He kept catching his knife by the blade. He dropped things on the floor multiple times. Most people do hibachi for the entertainment factor, and he had none. Our server forgot drinks, mistakenly put one order for our table mates at a different table, and never asked if anyone needed refills of anything. Like I said. Food tasted amazing. Service this time?     So bummed to write this review, because it was one of my favorite restaurants. The restaurant was dirty and in need of a good cleaning. Wallpaper ripped on walls, grills were super dirty the bathroom was gross. When we sat down at a table too small for 8 people the plates were dirty and the waitress was awful she would yell at the customers from another table asking if someone wanted a refill rather than coming by the table to check. The chef was new and barely knew any English so it was extremely hard to communicate. He was very nice but also confused about who to give food to and the order and recipes for items. Hard to eat with no room due to plates and eatinging area given. Once you are done you pay at the table with no idea what they are running your card for with a 20% gratuity for awful service, ambiance, and food. Our bill was 115 dollars for two hibachi steaks with water and fried rice. Once we left we hardly made it home before having massive stomach issues. Please don't waste your money!!!!!     Our service was awful from the start. We never even got two of our meals. Now there is a 20% service charge and an additional 5% kitchen charge. We will never go back. If there was an option for zero stars this would be that time!

    Our server had to be asked multiple times to bring items that were ordered. Specifically drinks and sushi. It was my daughters 18 birthday and he never had them sing until the restaurant was empty and I had to ask for the third time. He offered to have my food cooked in the back because I’m vegetarian and then never put my order in for it to be cooked. It was a stressful experience for our party of 5.

    All the food we had tasted the same. There is no reason the steak, chicken, lobster tail, and rice all taste the same. And now there is a large service fee added to the bill that we were unaware of. Waitress did not state that fried rice was an up charge. So using our $30 birthday credit only eliminated the service fee. For over $112 for two people, we won’t be coming back. Others at our table were also surprised with the unknown upcharges and service fees.

    It was better when compared to Osaka. They are peanut free which is important for me. Our wait time was a lot. We made a reservation and waited very long to be seated. Otherwise it is an amazing place..great staff. The chef was amazing and interacted with my toddler.

    These staff members work extremely hard to put on a good performance !!! Really unique ways of presenting food. You will not be disappointed. Great for laughs and special occasions. We went here for my sons big 18 bday, it was so much fun! Adult drinks are also super yummy here :)

    We waited over an hour after being seated to even begin our food being cooked. The waitress wa great and did her best but to sit at the table for an hour before anything was ridiculous. Then when we did get some food they didn’t have clean soup spoons so we got our salad then soup then waited and waited. The cook was boring, and not very good! Poor seasoning and it wasn’t worth the price!

    We encountered a problem in the bar before dinner during happy hour. Our son and daughter ordered the $5.00 beer special and I ordered the 9oz pinot wine, menu said $16.50 craffe. Husband ordered a mich golden bottle. Our bill was $65. WHAT?? When we questioned it to the bar tender, she said they were out or the $5 and gave our children the $8 beer, the mich golden wasn't happy hour and that was $7.00 and my wine was $24.00 WHAT??? She took $10 off our bill, said that was all she could use. UNREAL!!! Once we were seated at 6pm, served drinks, soup, salads and we waited, waited and waited. Finally our cook came to the table at 7:00pm. He was GREAT and turned out happy hour into a fun dinner. Wine at dinner (same wine I ordered in the bar) was $16.50 REALLY?!? What was the difference. We visit once a month and this was the worst we've ever expierenced. SAD really!!
