   Food was fine, service was not good at all. We had a reservation, Arrived at 9pm, restaurant was not busy, still took 15-20 to be seated. We were at a table with only two other guests but it was another 15-20 minutes before our drink order was taken. When we finally gave our dinner order the cook came out and started preparing our food and we still hadn’t received our soups or salads. Also our food was served to us and we had no silverware…. We had to ask for some so we could eat. For the price charged for the food we ordered, the service did not come close to match.

   So glad we went! Service was better than I remembered. We were sat instantly and were constantly asked if we wanted any drink refills. The chef was entertaining and the food was delicious! All around enjoyable visit and we’re looking forward to returning.

   We actually never had dinner. We had 7 o’clock reservations and weren’t seated till about 20 after seven. By 10 after eight we still hadn’t had a waitress come to our table to take drink orders. Slowly the other couples at our table, began to get up and leave and we did the same by 20 after eight.  Ended up going to another restaurant in the same complex and were in and out within an hour. Most likely won’t be able to get my husband to go back to Benihana again. This was my birthday dinner, so I was sadly disappointed.

   It was a tues night, we had a reservation for four. Not crowded at all. Service was awful, never got drinks had to ask repeatedly for water. Hibatchi was average, not the experience I remembered, nothing done to celebrate a birthday for my son.

   Service was great, our waitress was attentive as she could be. She always apologized if she was delayed getting back to our table. Our cook was very fun an engaging he definitely made our night. All and all a great experience and the food was amazing as always!!!

    Reservations at 7:15, arrived at 7:06, didn’t get seated until 7:52, didn’t get a chef until 8:21, food wasn’t done until 9:17. The floor had carpet, was sticky, from what I counted only had about 5 chefs. Regular soft drinks and lemonade was watered down. Salad tasted like it was out of a bag. Horrible establishment. Needs an update, plus more hires of chefs WITH hibachi experience.

    If you have all night with nothing to do. Other than that, you’ll be sitting for an hour just to wait for the chef to come to the table. We sat for almost 2 hours. They only had 2 chefs and about 10 tables. This is the second time I came here and it was the same! So I won’t be ever going back

    My reservation was at 7:30 and I didn’t get a soup or salad until 8:40. It was Mother’s Day and I have been here before on Mother’s Day and I was told we were waiting because they didn’t have enough bowls. The salad came out and after that my husband went and spoke to someone because another party came in and there chef was at there table before ours and we had been seated already for hour with nothing. The gentleman that came over with our soup told us the whole experience takes and hour well I didn’t get out of there until 9:45 which makes no sense. The food was good but there service was horrible not to mention I had my 2yr daughter with me and she was hungryyyyyy

    Had a 4:30 reservation and was not seated until 5, Host/Hostess were very rude and witnessed three of them openly talking about our party. Did not get our soup/salad until after our meals were cooked. Forgot appetizers. Was over all not a great experience

    Chef was great server was HORRIBLE. Waited 20 minutes after we were sat for her to come over. Then waited another 30 minutes before she sent the chef over. She didn’t come back to give us drink refills. She actually forgot about our table because she never came back over our chef was running around for us. She never brought out our ice cream the manager had to take our order for that. She wasn’t doing what she needed to do. Then she says “sorry I wasn’t as attentive as I should have been but how was my service?” Girl what?! It was horrible ! We were there for 2 and a half hours, people that came after us left before us. We seen the other servers check on all their tables why couldn’t she? We came at 4pm and the chef didn’t come to us until 5:30 he finished around 6pm. My worst experience at Benihana. The food was the best part HORRIBLE SERVICE!!

    Chef was rushing and didn't cook food through. We had to ask to leave it on the grill longer. Didn't really give us a show. We didn't get seated till 30mins after our reservation, which the set us at a table with 3 other guess which included a child. It was mother's day so we didn't want to sit with children but the family was very nice and you couldn't tell the child was there. The waiter did mess up our order twice and added things to the bill we didn't have. But it was okay. And this wasn't our 1st time here.

    1st let’s just start by saying how sticky the floor was as soon as you walk that rug is filthy. Than I had reservations for 7pm we were not seated until an hour later. Once seated it took about 30 mins for the chef to come out we did not get our soup until we were about to leave. And finally some how the girl messed up on our bill.     chef hai jenny waitress This was a better visit than during virus! A short wait due to graduations and birthdays. The show was as great as usual. How they have each order ready as ordered is amazing. It still is expensive even with the birthday discount. A fun night the hat the photo all made it fun.

    I had 2 tables reserved, didn’t get seated for 45 minutes past my reservation time. We had two servers. One that was awesome (Nyla) and a second server we never saw. The chefs were great, but unfortunately the expired was almost 4 hours start to finish, and that was just way too long. The female manager was an awesome, the other manager was horrible to talk to a deal with. A real A hole. Definitely not good at his job. I give it a 3, but only because of Nyla, and the food was good, or I’d give it a 1.

    We had a 7:00 pm reservation and we were not seated until 7:45 pm even though there were 5 tables where guests had already gone but there wasn't any staff to clean them off. Finally the manager whose job it was to greet people got involved in cleaning off the tables so that people could be seated. We ordered appetizers so that we could get something to eat fast because we waited so long -- and we continued to wait and wait -- but when the chef arrived at the table, I called our server over to cancel the appetizers and she understood. But within 2 minutes, she brought out our apps and asked if we still wanted them so we said yes to them. Gordon Ramsey would be all over their case and screaming at everyone if he was there! It seemed very discombobluated there. Hard to relax into dinner. It was loud and boysterous inside - hard to hear the person next to me talking. Of couse I understand that there's not much anyone can do about that but I wish that one side was a loud side with all the kids and the other side a quieter more relaxed space. In the past, it was ALL relaxed and now it is all noise.

    Never again! The first thing you’ll notice when you when you enter the Benihana in Plymouth Meeting is that it is old and there is a rancid stench throughout the restaurant. We waited 15 minutes in order to be seated with another party. We then waited another 15 minutes to get our drinks, and after 45 minutes, we receive one drink and we watched our waitress serve drinks for the other party that were not what they ordered. After 50 minutes without being served anything to eat we stood up, paid a tip for our one drink and left.  just say this restaurant has fallen from grace is an understatement.  I can’t comment on any other locations, but the Plymouth Meeting Benihana is definitely one to avoid. I will never go back!!

    We had a reservation at 4:30pm and were made to wait to be seated. We ended up being seated with a group of people who were coworkers who were drinking and obnoxiously loud. We were then severed almost everything after the large party and could barely hear ourselves think let alone enjoy our meals. It was quite the disappointment to say the least.

    When you walk in the place smells like sour milk. All the decor, tables and walls are in desperate need of updating. The faucets in the Womens bathroom are literally falling apart. When you lift faucet to turn on water it comes detached from the sink. Our server and chef were wonderful but we won’t be going back to that location. For the price you pay you would think it would appear cleaner and more updated.

    Everytime i have gone to one in this location, it has always seemed to be a mess. The chef never comes out until 30 to 40 mins while seated. Our drinks took forever to come out even on it looked to be a not so busy night. The bartender was not very friendly. The whole experience just did not seem very welcoming. The chefs did have a great attitude and served great food!

    Unfortunately this was a pretty awful experience. We had a reservation and still waited an hour to be seated. The restaurant was dirty. Our feet were sticking to the carpet and the chef argued with someone at our table.

    Food was fine. They sat us 15 minutes after our reservation. Once seated, we waited for 75 minutes until the hibachi chef came to our table. None of the appetizers were expedited in a reasonable amount of time. We had difficulty getting water. They didn’t clear the table prior to serving dessert. I never write reviews, but this was egregious. They are understaffed and cannot handle the the amount of reservations they accept. Please note that all staff were lovely and very apologetic.

    My host was Jenny, and our cook was Muhammad, both amazing people, with great customer service. The food was amazing. Me and my family had a great time, as well as my daughter, who’s birthday it was. Definitely worth every penny. Will be returning.
