   Your enjoyment is largely based on who you get sat with. We got sat with a party of 2 and 4. We waited for them all to take seats then we took two between the two other parties. There wasn't enough room to sit at the table since the party of 4 left a large gap for grandma not to sit at the very corner. Had to bring most of the food and salad over laps to have room to eat. Was extremely hot the whole time sweating while trying to enjoy dinner for a birthday. Other party of 2 was impatient for service and soup to show up for up to to look for server after asking everyone if this feels abnormal. Both parties continued to complain about service or how sever was acting causing us laid back people to feel uncomfortable. Even with birthday coupon for $30 off didn't get out without going over $100 for dinner with waters to drink. Prices have gone up like everywhere else. Food was great though thanks chef!

   Benihana is not what it used to be. Oil dripping onto the cooking surface from the exhaust hoods was a massive turn off. Took nearly an hour and a half for the cook to show up. 30 minutes for me to receive my drink from the bar. Dinner took nearly 3 hours total. Not very happy with the experience that we used to love and look forward to. Staff did not seem to care. The cook was new and did an excellent job of cooking the food with a few new twists. He was the only saving grace for the evening once he was able to get to our table.

   A great experience! Chef Gabriel was both entertaining and skilled in his prep of our meal. We were paired with a lovely family of four at our dining station…mom, dad and 2 lovely teenage daughters. We are a senior couple. The food prep was a delightful show in itself and our Chef was very outgoing and interacted with all of us. The highlight of the evening was when the family insisted on paying for our dinner. Not only was the food outstanding, but it was nice to experience the generosity of the family we were paired with…a truly wonderful experience!!!!!

   The experience was not what i’m accustomed to. The service was a bit slow which was ok. The server was nice the chef was ok. The food was not as good as it normally is. Interestingly I kind of predicted that the food wouldn’t be ideal based in how the fried rice was being made. Seemed a bit different than my years of prior experiences at Benihana. I will return but Benihana will probably not me my first choice like it currently is

   Service was terrible and no communication from staff about delay. Another server who wasn't assigned to our table finally came and got our drink order around 20 minutes after we were sat. Our chef didn't come out until 45 minutes after our reservation after we asked the manager where the chef was (manager was watching sports on an ipad at the time). The chef was rush and when scraping the grill and cooking was extremely messy and got bits of food on many peoples plates. Not a good experience. Mediocre food.

    We came with a party of 7 for a birthday and graduation celebration combination. We have come to your location many times before. This experience was quite disappointing. We had reservation for 8:15 pm and waited almost an hour to be seated. The server was attentive and wonderful so nothing bad to say about him. But the chef was disinterested and dull the entire time. He maybe said something on 2 occasions. Not the normal lively presentation that we have come to know and love. Very disappointing!

    It always takes too long to get seated and get our food. Servers are excellent but the service is too slow. We used to come more often but now will come maybe once every other year because the food is excellent but don’t enjoy having to wait so long.

    The food was great but I must say I was disappointed on the how slow the service was. Our reservation was at 8:30 which we arrived on time. Only to find that just now were they setting our table. After being seated about 8:45, our cook did not come to our table until 9:30. Please keep in mind they were supposed to close at 10pm! When the cook was completed and we finished eating it was about 11:30pm.

    Seated right away. Wait time between appetizers and entree too long, especially if you have kids with you. Time between being done with entree and dessert/ bill could be shorter. Shrimp and chicken over cooked. Staff very nice. Restaurant clean. Chef nice and did a good show.

    I have been to Benihana twice before in San Francisco, but this was the worst experience so far. The service was terrible and way too slow. We arrived at 6:35 and didn't get our food until after 8pm. Our table had 4 kids (3 were ours) and no soup or salad came out early to keep them fed. Everyone at the table agreed our table was neglected. Several other tables that came in after us were fed much sooner. Also, the ventilation didn't work, so the steam and smoke from the cooking went straight into our kids' face. The cook was good and the food tasted very nice, so that was a plus. But the rest of the package was well below par, so overall this was not an enjoyable experience.

    I always come here. Sunday 5/21/23 went to celebrate dads birthdayFood and service was great but one thing I will tell you is that the air vents don’t work well. All the smoke was going to my dad who wears oxygen.The vents usually absorbs all the smoke. But on this table by far the worse. This wasn’t the first time it has happened. I told manager Scott about the situation but seemed to not care. The family didn’t even finish the meal, got full with the smell of the smoke.

    Great food and our waiter (Jason Durulo) was amazing. However our chef was very writer and lacked showmanship. Other chef around us were joking around and really having alot of fun. Ours was so quiet he was difficult to understand. But we loved the food and drinks. We will definitely come again.

    I was the last one for the chef to serve and I felt like every time I got the food I was being given I was pretty short changed. When he served the onions and zucchini I got a pile of onions and very little zucchini I just felt like he wasn't doing the best job of portioning the food out.

    Dined at Scottsdale location for anniversary celebration. Promptly seated at 6pm but not off to an auspicious start - greasy menu on top of a dirty plate. Waited ~ 20 minutes for Eh Dah (server) to arrive and another 15 minutes for drinks to arrive. Chef Francisco arrived and he was great- a real entertainer. He and Eh Dah were out of sync. After soup, fried rice was prepared and already served before salad arrived. While still eating salad, appetizer was served. Steak was served, and half eaten, before zucchini/onions were ready. Asked for green tea with sherbert dessert but tea never arrived. Lack of teamwork - Eh Dah was swamped but busboys didn't help. No picture (like Chandler) even though I noted it was a special occasion. Ambiance is like Walmart - lots of gym wear and baseball caps - definitely not smart casual attire per Benihana website.

    Went for my bday dinner and scheduled my reservation 2 days in advance. Once we got there we waited 30 min and no one came to our table so we talked to a manager and waited another 2 hours before finally being served. Was not worth it at the price point they are asking.     It was not busy at all. Had reservations for weeks. Too dark (lighting) for my taste. Our chef, Roc was new and let us know she wasn’t skilled for tricks yet. her voice was delicate we couldn’t hear over other tables and loud chatter. She really took care and listened to our party with shellfish allergies. Some items were over salted but overall good. Favorite dish was spicy chicken fried rice. More expensive than I initially thought it would be. Very smoky at the table. Seemed like there was no intake for smoke. This location is convenient for anybody in close to freeway access from central to North Phoenix.

    Overall, please make sure the cooks refer to the food as Japanese and not Chinese. There is a big difference between these two Asian cultures, and being half Japanese this was a distraction

    This was an almost 3 hour long experience. We thought staff were friendly enough. Our order was missing one meal and everyone at the table had a surcharge for chicken fried rice instead.Super strange. Drinks were amazing food tasty. Super long amount of time start to finish and did not expect that. We were brought drinks once too many, and still there were two additional drinks on the bill we never received. That wait for that correction was lengthy as well. Took the missed food to go.

    Food was exceptional. Presentation on the grill was top notch. Service was great. Seemed a bit short staffed with the wait however the server was attentive. My only gripe was the price of the drink we had. We ordered the tiger walk or something like that. There were 2 prices advertised. We thought we ordered the $15 size bit we got the $48 one. The drink was delicious and we drank them all. The way the drinks were set up on the page seemed misleading. Otherwise we had a great experience
