   Reservation at 10. We left at 11:09pm because our cook had not came out. They came with every excuse. The waiter seemed like he was in a rush and that other tables were more important. When I told her we no longer wanted to stay she printed out the tab for us to pay for our drinks but her system wasn’t working so she said she would take care of the tab. That’s the least she could do was take care of the drinks but she would not have done it had her system had issues

   It had been years since I had been to a benihanas since shogun is closer but decided to come for our anniversary. Was pretty disappointed. We had a reservation but still had to wait. Once we were at the table we still had to wait a while. Our server did not put on much of a show and he mumbled so it was hard to understand anything he said. Everyone constantly was asking him to repeat himself. I ordered my steak medium well and my husband medium. Our steaks were cooked the exact same…well done :( Overall we did not have the experience we were hoping for:(

   Our reservation were for 5:15pm. There were plenty of open tables but it took twenty minutes for a us, a table for two to be seated. Once we were seated it took another 15 minutes before our server came with a family of four to sit. He took all of our drink orders, then the family of four said they were waiting on three more people. It took him about 10-15 to bring us drinks. At that time the other three people showed up. He took their drink order. Which took 10 more minutes. Now, we have to wait for them to overlook the menu before we order. We became frustrated and just left. I’ve never had this type of experience at the Westheimer location. I will not be giving this one another try.

   I've been here several times. The last 2 times even with reservations it took over an hour for the chef to come out. We ordered the same thing we always get yet it cost over $100 more than normal. We were in the corner and it was freezing cold. The chef forgot to make 2 meals spicy, he forgot seasoning on another. I was not impressed.

   You could not really hear our chef since he talked so low so the entertainment portion of the meal was not as fun. They forgot to bring our tea & the kids ice cream. We just gave up waiting. Our meal didn’t have corn as the menu suggested.

    Manny was great, he was a great reminder of what this genre used to be. I see so many teppanyaki chefs just going through the motions these days. We came from College Station and ran across this restaurant while shopping. I am so happy we did. Food was great, service was great. A little pricey but what isn't these days? Was worth it.

    I ordered the Hibachi Scallops-my guest ordered the Hibachi shrimp The soup was void of taste for the most part The Scallops were small. Very cheery and without any flavor. I ordered the chicken breast in soy sauce and the manager also served another order of scallops which were larger in size and just a wee bit tastier than the first order The chicken wa tasteless. I did not want to make a scene as in eating little of the second round. The manager should have comped my main course. Should have made it simple to comp my entre order

    It was only a 15 min wait after the reservation time. However we then had to wait an hour seated before any food. And we had to ask for sauces as by 1/2 way thru we still had none. Just be ready for a long time there (more than 2 hours).

    Why hassle reserving a table- our reservation was set at 8pm for party of 4- we were called around 8:15- then sent back to the front because the other group reserved but they didn’t put the right persons amount- we didn’t fit- yet wait till 9 to be seated- and the cooker (Chef) didn’t came out until 10, food was great but the reservation system and personnel sucks- yet as we know expensive but we expect a great service which they fail today- maybe next time- but the thing is when- I’m going to have to wait for a while-

    Birthday celebration. I’m the service was extremely slow with prolong wait times between drinks and each course of food. We waited at least 30 minutes between each course and was there for almost 3 hours. It was very tiring and frustrating.

    Received our sushi and other orders late. Was charged for a beverage that wasn't right despite being asked to change it. Dessert was to be eaten in the restaurant and received that in a To Go container and wayyyyy late. The chef (Ash) was great. Very entertaining and the food was flavorful.

    My son’s birthday. Reservations for two @ 8:15, got seated around 9, chef arrived at about 10:30-ish…. Had to specifically request the basics, drink refills, silverware, the dipping sauces. We left FINALLY around MIDNIGHT! Not because we were having such an amazing time, simply because that’s how long it took to get fed. The chef was good, the food was decent, the experience itself was a big disappointment. I’m usually never dissatisfied with Benihana, and hopefully this was just a one-of, but we can do better than this. The total on my bill was still full-price ($$$) therefore half-way service just doesn’t get it.

    Everything was good just we ate the food separately. By the time we got the meat we had eaten the rice. We would love to eat our plate together. We are the rice 20 minutes late the shrimp, 20 minutes after that the steak abs 15 minutes after that the chicken we spent a lot of money to not enjoy your food together. Thus was the first time this ever happened. The food was good.

    Our chef made a good performance and the food was solid, but we had reservations and still had to wait 10 minutes. We weren’t offered nor received the Japanese green tea that’s supposed to come with dinner, and even with our reservation indicating it was for a birthday, the chef recognizing the birthday, they never came by to sing happy birthday. Also since we didn’t order fried rice, they forgot to give us our steamed rice and had to request from manager.

    The food was amazing, so was our chef. I do understand it was busy…but I had to ask our server 3 or 4 times for lemons. We ordered dumplings as the appetizer and I had to remind her 3 times about them. By the time we got them they were cold. I feel like service could have a been better.

    I don’t think the chef did a good job with portioning the food for like items with other patrons at our table. Not sure why that occurred- I was thinking the share ratio was off but then my wife brought it up without any prompting from me.

    I love Benihana! This was my first time coming to this location. Our server was sweet, but got overwheled with the crowd which caused us to wait almost 30 mins for our correct check. Also, the Chef was nice, but over cooked my steak. Not the best Benihana experience unfortunately.

    The service was lacking a bit as it was a busy night. The food was excellent but it is ridiculous to charge and additional fee for the fried rice. The price is expensive as is. The show is a little stale and needs some fresh ideas. Overall, pleasant experience.

    We could’ve gone to any number of hibachi places close to your house in Kingwood but for over 20 years I’ve been going to Benihana all over the country for my birthday. My experience at the woodlands was extraordinarily bad. They didn’t bring our drinks until we asked several times, which took 20 minutes, my wife’s dinner was completely forgotten. She ordered sushi and had reminded the server twice before it was finally brought towards the end of the entire meal and they only brought one of the rolls that she had ordered but you better believe they billed us for the second one and then brought it out as they were getting our check and asked if we still wanted to have it on our bill. We didn’t even get to finish our last course before the waitress was asking us to check out at the table and we said we didn’t get ice cream or green tea and she said would you like for us to put your ice cream in a to go container for you? The list goes on of requests that were just forgotten or ignored but the main take away is while your food is good it is not necessarily unique and if I’m going to spend several hundred dollars on a special dinner out with my family there is absolutely no value and the way we were treated there. We were so disappointed and when we handed the $30 off birthday certificate, it didn’t even get used on our bill. It was obvious that our presence there was unwanted because we were being rushed out the door. I have to say that was a first and like I said the food is good but not unique. The experience is supposed to be what makes that a worthwhile experience and it was anything but

    Probably the worst “dining” experience I had in a long time. Once we got to the restaurant we had to wait over 45 minutes before been seated. Once at the table we waited one additional hour and still no signs of the chef. When I asked for the manager to understand what was going on we were informed that we still had multiple tables ahead of us ( approximately 1hour more to wait) . So long story short after 1:45 from our reservation time we left the restaurant without having any food. Completely unacceptable, obviously a very poorly managed restaurant

    Had to wait a very long time to ever get the soup and salad. The soup was not very hot...like it had been sitting in the bowl long before brought to the table. We were there for a solid hour and only received our beverages. Our reservation was for 430 pm and had to wait 30 minutes to ever get a beverage order in. The chef was good but didn't cut the tails completely off the shrimp. I've had a much better experience in the past at Benihana and was not completely satisfied this time. It seemed the priority was the table behind us that was celebrating a staff's birthday.

    We had a 7pm reservation and didn’t get seated until close to 8. The cook took a very long time to come to our table and we had a young child with us that waited a very long time before she got her chicken tenders. The entire meal took 3 hours from our 7pm reservation until we were finished at almost 10.

    Horrible!!!! They didn’t even say happy birthday or ice cream. There was a lady that was gluten free so they cooked Her and her family’s meal first and my kids were starving and didn’t even get food until they were done serving their food. The chef never told us. And it was both of my kids birthdays and they didn’t even sang or even give ice cream and I had sent this ahead of time.
