Great Service. Great food. The prix fixe menu is always tasty. Get the Mushroom soup , amazing
Service was brilliant as was the meal!
Birthday celebration with family
Good food, but not inexpensive for everyday dining. Half price wines on Wednesdays was nice but unfortunately they did not have the 2 wines we would have chosen, so we had to go to the full price wine list.
Will be coming back again and again.
group of 3, beef bourguignon was excellent, oysters excellent, service great.
French onion was great, the hat chicken was incredible!
Food was awful. For the owner to be a critic, he should spend time at his own restaurant. I ordered truite and it came out rm temp and the potatoes cold. They put so much sauce which was watery and it made it into a soup. My daughter had spaghetti and it came out dry and when i asked the server if spicy she said no well the dish is very spicy and we had to send back to kitchen. We should have known it was a thumbs down when arriving at 730pm on a sat night and the place was 1/4 full.
Location is good, food is moderate, however the servers try to clear your table a lot to push for the dessert menu... Was having a chat and catching up with a friend, was annoying to be interrupted so many times.
Al, our waiter was very engaging. The Beef Bourguignon was tasty, if not a bit pricey for what was served. (I was not paying!). I did enjoy your Biff's Red house wine. (Why no House White?)
Excellent food, quiet ambience, good decor
This is one of our fave locals, so have reviewed it on several occasions over the years!
It is generally a nice experience with friendly wait staff, good food and a traditional French bistro ambience!
So we had a nice evening. The service was a bit mixed. My wife loves rare tuna but, if it comes with fries as this one does, she always requests less fries and more veggies. Didn’t happen!!
Good selection of wines by the glass.
We ordered two Flat Iron steak dinners and they were extremely salty
Service was great - steak was very tender. Got us through in time for the show.
A wonderful spot for a pre-show meal. Our party of six enjoyed the entire experience. Our server was keenly aware of our time constraints and made sure appies, cocktails, mains and wine were served in good time. We felt very well taken care of!
Steak tartare was horrible - who puts pickles in that? My main (trout) was ice cold, and the replacement overcooked and my husband's mussels were tiny and dry. very disappointed in the food but our server was lovely and we loved the lighting and music. It was my husband's 55th birthday so they gave him a little mini dessert platter at the end which was thoughtful.
But I wouldn't eat there again - for the price the food was mediocre at best.
I've been there seveal times and it's always been good. A great place to dine if you are taking in an event downtown.
Unfounded pretension, over priced, mediocre food.
Service was inattentive, bordering slack.
Favourite restaurant for my family when visiting Toronto; really enjoy dining at the bar, tasting several of their offerings to share with my family. Love their oysters.
I am a big fan of Biff's. It never disappoints. I had the duck confit and it was absolutely delicious. It was my first time eating duck and I'm glad that I went for it. As always, the staff was superb. I will be back!
Outstanding service and high quality food.
Our server was fantastic, attentive and fun. The food was amazing. My wife and I had a wonderful Valentines. Thank you Biff’s!
Best service ever. Food was amazing.
Early evening dinner before a show. The restaurant hadn’t filled up yet so it atmosphere was pleasant and quiet.
Very nice place! Luciana our server was excellent, and the food was amazing!!
Went for Winterlicious and definitely enjoyed the food. Will be back on a regular night. Was glad Winterlicious allowed me to evaluate the menu for a discounted price.
Al and the mushroom soup keep us coming back!! Seriously, Al rocks. He always makes sure that we are out on time for a game without any feeling of being rushed. Best waiter ever. Oh and the stirred martinis are terrific.
Nice place for business luncheon, excellent food and services!
Great service, busy restaurant. Our food was great, some was a little cooler than ideal... would definitely go back and the special care around my birthday was unexpected and wonderful.
Really good! Enjoyed the food and service. Would definitely recommend for winterlicious.
We received amazing service. Waiter made our night. The restaurant is across from Meridian Centre, we didn’t have a show but he was very mindful of getting people to their shows on time. We just wanted to check out the restaurant for winterlicious but he asked us if we were celebrating anything special. He was very personable and made sure to check for food allergens for both plates because my partner and I like to share. Great night, a bit pricey but we would definitely go back.
Consistently excellent all these years. Have been many times.
Always a great meal and experience at Biff's Bistro.
I am not sure if I got ill because of the food it was a salad that may not have sat well but I was ill after eating there later at night or maybe I was getting something anyway!!
The food tasted yummy and the service and ambiance were lovely. My husband and I went for a valentine lunch for winterlicious
The restaurant was amazing. It was recommended by the concierge at the hotel. We chose off the Winterlicious menu and were not disappointed. The French onion soup was incredible. The gnocchi was melt in your mouth. The dessert was to die for. We were served by Andres and he was so attentive and outgoing and so on and so on....
I enjoyed my dinner very much. The noise level is a little on the high side for me. I think a bit of soft furnishing could assist with this. I would go again and would definitely recommend.
I enjoyed the food and the service was excellent but I wished they had creme brulee for desert.
