This was my first visit and it went above my expectations. Beautiful ambiance and very spacious. The food was fresh, had a huge variety and was plentiful. The omelette & waffle station were very popular. Coffee was amazing. The staff was very friendly and eager to accommodate. It was the perfect visit. Thank you.
wasn't what I expected. Surprised there wer e only about 6 to 7 tables for that time os night. Next time will go into town.
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, the food and service was excellent. And the selection was perfect. Something for everyone.
My husband and I had a breakfast date be for going down to cork town for the St Patty Day festivities. We have been told many times that Bistro 555 was a great place to go for a breakfast buffett. We were not impressed. The food was bland and honestly for $15 per person there just wasnt enough variety and our reservation was at 9 am and there was very little food a scoop of eggs, 1 and some crumbles pc of bacon. Yogurt was almost empty. Bisquits were getting hard.
Worst cuban sandwich I've ever eaten. Hard to believe they even get away with calling it a cuban. Awful. Service was ok ish. Very disappointed.
While the food was really good, the service was awful unprofessional and way below satisfactory.
We both had blackened salmon, rice and veggies and salad. It comes as a full meal and is not only delicious, but complete! I believe this salmon can compare with any higher end restaurant. Have eaten here many times. The ribs are great as are the giant stuffed potatoes. Staff is friendly and attentive. Will be back. :)
Took my wife here for something new. Went to breakfast buffet. Staff very friendly. Food was great. Will be going back for sure. A coupon would be nice.
The buffet was promptly replenished and cleaned of any spills by the patrons. Our waitress was very attentive with a welcoming attitude. Great food aaaannd mimosas were excellent. Exceeded my expectations by far.
Are ribs were cold the tartar sauce wasn't good and the waitress leaves a lot to be desired and she had on so much perfume that every time she walked by you could taste it .
We never got food because the service took so long. Left after being at our table 45 minutes and only receiving one drink. (4 people at table). Server was unprofessional. No tact or manners. She didn't know beer selection or offer to find out. One of us had to walk up to the bar to look. Manager did talk to us and asked us to stay, stating he would make sure we were taking care of. But at that point we were to frustrated and went elsewhere.
The Bristo 555 was a nice place. I had one major issue. I reserved a table for 8 because a friend of mine told me they had Happy Hour from 5-7pm. When I arrived and was seated, I was told that Happy Hour was only in the bar section, which was a small area. I think this should have been advertised on their website. Nonetheless, the hostess and waitress was gracious enough to allow my party to sit at the high tables in the bar area and we had a fantastic time. The Bartender did a great job as well.
I plan on returning again for a romantic evening.
Aside from the Happy Hour issue, we had a great time!
They could use more wait staff that seemed scarce for the size of the restaurant.
What a great surprise - delicious food and drink right in the heart of a bustling city, adjacent to a thriving casino... and incredibly affordable! In fact, the portions were so large that the two of us shared an appetizer and entree and a dessert and two adult beverages... all for under $45!!! In the city? You bet. And we must note - all the desserts were huge and only $5! come on. When was the last time you got a great meal for that kind of money. Not too often we're thinking. We will be back.
Food was great and Daniella our server was wonderful!
This is a tough review to write as there wasn’t anything that was particularly wrong with our meal or the service, but it wasn’t particularly great either. We arrived on time and were seated right away. We waited a little while for our waitress, but not too long. She was attentive but didn’t show much personality. The manager was also waiting tables as it looked like they were short-staffed. It wasn’t very noisy except for the large party across the room. The food was good but nothing really wowed us except for the fried crab appetizer which everyone loved. My son and husband had a burger and I had blackened salmon. The food was reasonably priced. Honestly, everything was good, but it probably wasn’t good enough to bring us back.
Always a great meal at Bistro 555. Food is good at a fair price. Happy hour specials are excellent!!
very busy due to the football game. Service missing. Had a bus boy get me a cup of hot tea. Not able to find the wait staff that seated us and then disappeared. Overall though I would return again. Thank you
Service was excellent and food was delicious!
Good food, kinda slow service to get a drink . Would make reservations
We were staying at Greektown Casino Hotel and decided to have a bite before a show. The wings were really good, service a little slow. It is a convient place to eat in the hotel that's not expensive.
In a pinch, it was a good choice. So many other great options in Detroit, with amazing food and service. Again, we had to leave punch bowl social, as the resteraunt was being evacuated for a plumbing issue, and this was the only place available. I personally would not find it necessary to go back.
The waitresses and hostess could be a little more enthusiastic. It took about 5 minutes to be greeted upon arrival. The drinks (alcohol) was not tasty at all.
Daniela made the difference! Great waitress.
Barbecue wings were awesome!
Had a wonderful time Me and My wife on our 6th year Anniversary. We had went to breakfast there and everything was great loved every minute of it
We are here before going to the game. The food was fantastic! Lots of seating, everyone was very happy with their dinner choices. Booths are perfect. Really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely go back!
Waitress had no idea what she was doing. Ordered chicken Caesar salad and it came out with NO CHICKEN? Waitress didn't notice until she served it. It was a Saturday night in Detroit and there were only 2 other groups of people there. Not a good sign for a restaurant like that...overall, wouldn't go back. The food was average and I was disappointed by our waitress.
Powdered eggs that weren't fully cooked and soupy mess. Entire breakfast was not edible for our entire group and we left. Even the omelet bar served raw eggs.
We only had an hour and the food took forever it wasn't even busy, food was ok
food was incredibly good. everything was nice thank you
The Hostess, Wait Staff, Food and table selection were excellent. We enjoyed our birthday celebration and will come again!!
Mediocre breakfast buffet, at best, and no indication when I made the reservation that it was ONLY a buffet, no al a carte menu options. Serious disappointment all around.
Our family enjoyed our visit. My only complaint was the service was really slow . It was a long wait for the food to come out once it was ordered
This was our fourth visit to Bistro 555 and have always had a very good experience. service is excellent, food has always been very good. They offer an excellent variety of sandwiches as well as appetizers and main menu items.
The ambiance was very delightful. The fish and chips were superb. The waiter was rude, Mohamad.
Did not live up to what I heard. Fried whitefish was very soggy the serve on wet lettuce
great food and great price
My Son took me to dinner for my 46th birthday. Food was great. Especially the fudge Sunday made by Cook Andrew Faison. Customer Service was excellent, starting from our greeter Cornez to our server Tina. I had an awesome experience.
Awesome. We will be back.
I arrived at the entrance and there was a host, manager, as well as a server at the host stand and no one greeted me I stood there for a minute and when the host got off the phone she pointed me to my family. I made this reservation for a birthday just for a nice lunch and was already picking up the vibe that this place wasn't going to feel enjoyable just off no one greeting me. Next, the server "Tiara" arrived at our table with a attitude as if she could be elsewhere. No enthusiasm no smile just blah, that was her attitude. Her appearance was sloppy hair uncombed. And she was took an alcoholic drink order and did not inform my grandmother there was no bar tender, so the drink was put together by the manager and it was made horribly. It was a margarita that was visibly all syrup. When our food arrived we asked for silverware and each unseated table (most of the tables in the room) had silverware on the tables so we got our own. She ignored us when we said that we got our own and walked away. She clearly didn't care. I gave her a 10% tip but the bill was not much so I could have easily given her an excellent service tip, but that lack of service said a lot.
