Horrible unprofessional service. Worst at any Buckhead Life restaurant. Very slow and unacceptable
Bistro Nico gets better and better each time we dine their. The French Onion Soup and White Bean soups are highly recommended. The skate wings is a favorite as well as the seafood pasta. Great duck breast. The Profiteroles for desert are a must.
Bistro Niko always seems to deliver a consistent and high quality dining experience. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Caesar salad was not cold and wilted. I ate a couple bits and set it aside. Waiter thanked me for the information- but a restaurant like that should have removed it from the bill. I’m not going to fuss over $10 however. Entrees were great.
This was my third visit to Bistro Niko. The words that stand out the most are pleasant but inconsistent. This is a brass and wood parlor with a very nice patio experience but this was the first time I have dined there without some type of offending odor from the kitchen or the laundry. The food offerings are french themed but not what I would call authentic french. Nothing I have had has ever been "bad" but some dishes may be considered uninspired. I've had the escargot (disappointing), the french onion soup (ok), the bouillabaisse (ok), the seafood tartine (pretty good), various soft-shelled crab presentations (nice), the smoked salmon tart (nothing special), swordfish (nice) and some other things I don't remember - which may be a statement itself. The service and attentiveness of the staff have always been first rate and, as you may know, that can go a long way toward making minor shortcomings not so bad. Bistro Niko is not my "go-to" spot but it is very pleasant when they get everything right. I think I just have to find the menu items that are just right for me.
Second time eating at Bistro Niko. The food was excellent just like my first time visiting this restaurant but the service was just so bad. It was clearly the "Monday evening" staff. Our server mentioned he had specials to tell us about but then never went over them. Instead when he came back, he just asked our appetizer order. We would have preferred to have ordered everything at once -- we were ready to order and we also didn't want wait 45 minutes between courses. We got our salads/soups, and I had to ask him at that time if he wanted to take our entree order, which meant we waited 45-60 minutes after eating our first course before our second course arrived. We also had to keep asking for our water to be refilled. One of the guests was allergic to nuts and stated this explicitly multiple times. He ordered a salad and when apps were dropped, he took a few bites of the salad but then was told by a food runner that the wrong salad was brought to him, so they took the salad in front him and replaced it with an identical salad -- which makes me think there were nuts on the first salad. For dessert, the diner with the nut-allergy was most interested in dessert options. We reminded our server of the allergy and asked about options. He told us that he would confirm whether our chosen dessert, the apple tart, was nut-free before he brought it. The dessert came out, was on the table for 3-4 minutes, and then he came by to tell us that it was not nut free. Fortunately, the guest with the allergy did not yet take a bite -- otherwise this could have been a complete disaster. Then, we obviously no longer wanted the dessert, yet he charged us for it. It was just overall amateur-hour from start to finish. I expect better service from this restaurant. The ambiance, menu, and food were excellent, but the service really ruined it. I had vouched for this place because the one other time I had eaten there, it was great. This was a big disappointment for our special occasion.
Amazing service and food!
This was our first visit to Bistro Niko, and we'll be returning often. We were a group of four, and we began with mussels, escargot, and a basket of cheese puffs. Two of us had the Georgia trout entree, which was absolutely exquisite. The menu choices are enticing and run the gamut from traditional French (coq au vin and Croque Monsieurs) to more trendy choices. The main part of the restaurant has a really high noise level, but there's a front room that's much quieter, which we appreciated. We'll be back for Steak Frites and French Onion Soup. The service was excellent.
We completely enjoyed our dinner. The service was awesome the food was great. Outside dinning was lacking as your basically in traffic, however, we were quickly accommodated indoors.
The service was terrible and we sat with empty water glasses and empty water bottle, also no refills for wine during our dinner service. Not sure why service has gotten so bad, but do not plan to return.
I love this place. The trout was awesome as was the duck. But those scallops . . . wow, probably the best I've ever had. Highly recommended, good quality, unpretentious.
BN is one of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta and continues to provide a stylish atmosphere, fun vibe and delicious French bistro cuisine. Our brunch was delicious!
Great food. Personable server. Attentive wait staff. Reasonable price for the food and service quality. Large and loud dining room. Not very intimate or romantic.

Wonderful as always! I feel as if I am on vacation when we dine here. I love the wine, the food, and the ambiance. I am never disappointed with any meal selection that I choose. Thank you for the wonderful service. We will definitely be coming back.
The server did not bring bread with our mussel appetizer at 5:45. When we questioned our waitress about it 5 mins later she said It was not out of the oven. She returned at 5:55 to state it still was not ready. A server brought it at 6:05.
I ordered a salad that was delivered to my wife and had to be corrected. Our entrees were also mis-delivered.
I understand that the labor pool is thin, but training can solve a lot of problems.
This was by far our best meal at Bistro Niko in years. We were in the quiet area behind the check-in desk. It is the only seating I will accept in the restaurant. We celebrated our anniversary in style.
The food was AMAZING!!! Highly recommend the Seafood Tartine appetizer! Our server Chris was very energetic and knowledgeable about the menu. He entire experience was great

The place was very noisy until we got to a table outside. There was a lot of vehicle traffic going by, but at least we could talk.
The best location for a quiet get together, is the dining area right next to the check-in podium.
Where to start....
We had reservations but was seated ten minutes later.
We sit down and there's still bread crumbs with the salt and pepper.
I wait for the waiter to clean it up but he starts to just put things on and around it. I ask him if he can clean it up. In response, he puts the things that were on and around the crumbs into the middle of the table, "dusts" the crumbs onto the floor with his hands and leaves. Doesnt even bother putting the things back, so we put it back.
Then bread comes and the servers are really brash and just plops everything down quite rudely.
The butter is hard and can't be spread.
Then the appetizer comes (french onion soup and mussels). The soup was just warm, not hot at all. Mussels were way too fishy.
In the middle of eating, the server comes to see if he can remove it... there's still food in the bowl and we still had forks in our hand!!!
Then it takes forever for him to get back to take it away.
And then... the main course never comes. After thirty mind the manager finally brings it claiming it was hot. No. Both the dishes were cold. (I forget what one was called.. its the one in the box... think its the chefs choice or something, and the duck) duck was way too dry and the other dish was once again too fishy. How do you mess up lobster bisque? Well... obviously quite possible.
The manager came after we paid the check and apologized... the only reason i came out in a better mood.
But a little late I'd say... and not enough to for me to come back.
Hostess sat us 20 mins after reservation. They forgot about us at the bar area and we would had never been sat if we didn’t bring to their attention. Bartender was attentive and cocktails good. Water service was excellent. Waiter was nice but service could have been better. We had to ask for explanations of the grand plat of pates and had to ask for dessert menu. Food was amazing especially the lamb chops, duck entree and foie gras.

Sunny was an expert, friendly and attentive server. The crust of my quiche Florentine was disappointingly soggy because of the salad dressing on the plate, and it was not hot; lukewarm at best. The other diners were satisfied with their dishes.
Exceptional food...we had amazing coq au vin, french onion soup, and rack of lamb. Amazing desserts too. Service, a bit uneven. Lovely ambiance...but very very loud.
The food has gone slightly downhill. Still great drinks at the bar! But very weak drinks delivered to our table. Food was not very inspiring. Will go for drinks & snacks next time, not a meal.
Bistro Niko has a great atmosphere for any occasion. The food and the service were excellent. I highly recommend dining here if you have not already!
The frissee in my wife's salad was pale and limp, while the lardons had been overcooked. The kitchen seems to be phoning it in these days. Service was attentive, but the waiter should really have warned my wife about the salad.

Main room very noisy, so we requested move to quieter side room. Tender, tasty scallops. Average service. Nothing wrong, but nothing special about the dining experience, either.
Great food, great service, one disappointment that bears mention. We were surprised that parking (self-parked in attached deck) was not validated, and then very surprised when we were each charged $18 for 2 hours of evening parking in a mostly empty lot. Frankly it took a lot away from a nice dinner. When you spend $200+ on dinner for 4 you expect not to get overcharged (or charged AT ALL) for parking.
We waited over 1 hour to get our checks. I specifically asked if we could split the check, made the reservation for 7 people weeks ahead of time so it was not a surprise, and the waiter said he could do it. Fast forward 45 minutes and 2 members of my party went to speak with him and other waitstaff members and offer assistance to no avail. Finally, after about 1 hour and 20 minutes our waiter drops our checks on the table with 0 apology. We then asked to speak to the manager and all he had to offer was, “I’m sorry there’s no excuse.” This response was not at all sufficient for the inconvenience caused. The meal and evening was lovely up until the checks but overall, the night was tarnished by that awful delay and lack of communication.
