de nourriture réconfortante qu'ils servent dans le sud. Ce style de nourriture est l'inspiration derrière certains des plats que nous servons chez Nolah.
We named our restaurant Bistro Nolah, an acronym for New Orleans, out of a love for the style
of comfort food they serve down south. This style of food is the inspiration behind some of the dishes we serve at Nolah
Absolutely amazing food! Can not wait to go back and try everything else on the menu!!
Amazing food. Beautifully presented as well as wonderful flavours. Great staff. It’s a gem and I constantly recommend it to friends and family and everyone agrees. My favorite restaurant
Best brunch in town !
We are never disappointed when we go to Bistro Nolah. It became one of our favorite spot.
Great food, we really enjoyed it and are now more than ready for a real Louisiana getaway!!!
Nice little place which is very busy. We had a reservation at 18h15 for a party of 4. Everything started well, food was excellent, service was very good. We ordered a second bottle of wine and at 20h, our table was requested. The bottle of wine was haft full and we did not have a chance to order a desert. We were kicked out of the table and transferred to the uncomfortable little bar. Did not offer anything to compensate. When you go to that kind of restaurant and spend big $ for bottles of wine...You want to enjoy and to be rushed.
This was a surprising experience; Bistro Nolah has been a favourite for a while. We were sat 35 minutes late, with no recognition of our arrival. We chose to stand outside to wait. We sat with no apology, or welcome to the restaurant. On the contrary, our water was poured almost angrily. Since I set up the dinner, I was embarrassed. Our server did not welcome us, and was speaking too quietly so we stopped asking questions. We asked for the music to be turned down, but it was turned up again; so it was too loud. The food was good, but not relative to the price. I have recommended many friends to Nolah, I’m not sure I can now.
Bistro Nolah is our favourite restaurant hands down! We had a 4 course dinner to ring in 2020 and it did not disappoint. The fried chicken was excellent, delicious and nicely seasoned. The Shrimp and Grits was fantastic. Our server is a true professional who guided us through the menu with ease. Bistro Nolah has a great chalkboard menu which is constantly changing. It is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner with a loved one.
We feel fortunate to have such a great restaurant right in our neighbourhood! Each morsel of our supper was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. Our only complaint would be that our reservation was for 8 o'clock and we didn't get any food until 9. By then we were famished. We cleaned our plates, not a bite left!
As always, everything was perfect. We really enjoyed our evening and are looking forward to our next visit.
We cleaned our plates! The food was all very good. The service was slightly slow but we were not in a rush so it was nice not to be rushed.
My favorite restaurant on the West island.....always excellent!
The service and the food is always excellent, and I've never been disappointed. For the three of us, we started off with the fried oysters and the Louisiana crab cakes. We all wished those could refilled. For our main course, we had the fried chicken (always delectable), shrimps and grits (a personal favorite), and the filet mignon which was one of two special of the night. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection. If we weren't in public, we would have tried to lick our plates clean!
Birthday celebration was perfect......................
a little expensive for the west island. and a little more food on plate would be good, did not eat the green salad like stuff . like a normal salad.
An excellent dinner, wow! It was the first time dining at Bistro Nolah for the four of us. It won’t be the last they’ve made a us repeat customers. Delicious food, great service, lovely ambiance & great value. We tried their fried chicken appetizers & Louisiana crab cakes. For our main we tried the jambalaya & veal cheeks, very well spiced.
Often times a chef owned restaurant is a very good place, this one is no exception. No surprise they’ve been serving customers for approximately 8 years?
Highly recommend this lovely bistro on the West Island. Reservations are probably necessary, we went on a Tuesday night & they were full. You can book on Open Table or by calling them directly.
Great new brunch menu. Never a disappointment
This restaurant never disappoints! The shrimp and grits are out of this world, and if I could I would order a whole bucket of their fried chicken. Happy early Christmas!
We’ve been trying to get there for a while...always having to cancel due to life!!! All I can say is ‘Outstanding’ brunch...the food was incredible
Once again Bistro Nolah delivered great food and service!!! Always enjoy dining here, whether it is for the Sunday brunch or evening dinner.
This restaurant is always amazing!!
There was a really loud group while we were there and because it’s a small place it was a bit overpowering, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault.
Overall it was a perfect and delicious birthday dinner. The shrimp and grits were incredible!
Amazing chefs and amazing staff and amazing service !
The food is absolutely delicious. The grits are to die for.
Good food. Zero ambiance...just too crowded. Tables placed in traffic areas, near bathrooms.
Food was excellent, drinks a little overpriced and had Mississippi mud pie for dessert and was slightly disappointed as it was too cold I guess and hard to cut in to. Would return in a heartbeat but won’t order drinks or r dessert.
Nolah outdid themselves. Yes Nolah is always good but our meal last week was phenomenal!! Mathew as always was a wonderful attentive host. I love the way he explains the love and expertise that goes into the dishes!! We shared the chicken crisp and gumbo as appetizers. Although the chicken is not my favorite it was extremely tender. I hear the gumbo was perfect as well. We all (4 of us) ordered the blackened filet mignon... absolutely perfect!!! The masterful blend of flavors .. softness if the meat and all around presentation was perfect!! I also suggest the dark and stormy drink; light and refreshing but has a punch :) We shared the beignet (out of this world .. better than the ones in Nolah I think) and the banana foster cheesecake was perfect in its taste .. mix of hot and cold .. just the perfect dessert!! Oh and don’t forget the coffee.. rich and flavorful!! We all left beyond satisfied :) :) :) thank you Nolah !!
This was our first meal at Bistro Nolah and the restaurant will definitely be a new favourite. The chef provides a gourmet flourish of intriguing flavour to every dish, from the appetizers to their main specialties. The warm lighting and decor created an inviting ambiance. I loved my blackened catfish served with caviar and a very special sweet potato purée. Next time I will have the shrimp with creamy, cheesy grits that my husband ordered, as it was absolutely delicious too!
Great food !!! Service was amazing !! Only thing was the noise level . Too loud . It’s pricey..but deelish. Wouldn’t go often because of $$ but on special occasions .
One of my favourite restaurants ever, amazing food and service is second to none, I am proud to bring out of town visitors here for business as well as family and friends!
I loved it. Food was excellent. Service was impeccable. Loved it.
Extremely noisy for Sunday brunch. No thought to acoustics. And Overpriced.
I have one problem with this Bistro.....I don't dine there as often as I should !! My wife and I really enjoy the cuisine here. My starter was the sausage gumbo and the dessert was the bread pudding with bourbon sauce (to die for!!)....and everything in between was just as satisfying. Kudos to the chefs and staff !
It was really nice with delicious food and warm service. But the tables were too small and not enough leg room.
Excellent food and service. Really enjoyed the entire meal. The service was excellent
Dining a Bistro Nolah is a gastronomic experience. Expect your taste buds to be tingled and look forward to being spoiled by attentive service from knowledgeable wait staff. My wife loves the scallops as they are layered with fantastic flavors and textures. For me, I thoroughly enjoy the Shrimp Creole with Jambalaya. Its my go to dish at Nolah and for the last many years (we've been going there for about 5 years now) and Chef Richard's touch with this dish is never wavering. Same with the scallops. The level of noise due to the small size and high ceiling does not contribute to a romantic time so if you want a quite venue to woo your favorite person go elsewhere. If its great food in authentic New Orleans style and ambiance, then this is the place for you.
We were VERY pleased with our recent visit. Service was impeccable. Food was outstanding.
We will 100 % return and we will refer our friends
Awesome flavours ...best crab cakes this side of the south. Fried chicken to die for...love this place...suggestion..pls bring the great homemade buns earlier
Service and food were excellent. When I reserved online, however, I was asked if it was for an occasion and if there were any special instructions. Answered that it was for a bday and to please bring over a piece of cake. Very disappointed when this did not happen at the end
of the meal and the waitress told us she never bothered to read it. She even said happy birthday at both the beginning and end of the meal as it was obvious why we were there.
The restraunt refused to take my open table rewards check
This is a very nice restaurant which you would expect to be in downtown Montreal but is located in the West Island. The food was delicious and the wait staff were kind and attentive. While this is no fault of the restaurant and perhaps also a general statement on my part, I do find it unfortunate their are some ignorant parents that bring squawking whiny children into a nice restaurant such as Nolah. I am not against well behaved children in a nice restaurant. If your kids are not well behaved, get a baby sitter or go to McDonald's and only come to nice, expensive restaurants when they are behaved. Selfishness seem prevalent these days and inconsideration runs rampant. None of these parents will possibly believe I am referring to them and their kids. After all, they are the best parents in the world and their kids the most precious. The other unfortunate event was, this was for my wife's 60th birthday. I was not at all impressed that after having a relatively costly meal (i.e. $13,00 for a small salad entree) that they couldn't find it in their heart to provide just a small piece of cake to highlight the evening. For me, a small gesture like that goes a long way. Sadly, it is all about the money and that disappoints me. They would rather I buy a dessert. Instead, they actually loose a returning customer. I know there are many other restaurants with similar policies, so I don't want to single out Nolah. But many of the restaurants I do frequent and return often - do provide this simple gesture, they value my returning to their restaurant. Sorry for the rant, but those are two issues I have with any upscale establishment, I do consider Nolah upscale.
