As usual, the service and food were outstanding. We have had dinner at Bistro San Martin several times and the food has always been excellent. The waitstaff is also outstanding, being there when you need them but not hovering around your table.

We visited this restaurant once again for our anniversary and it was a wonderful and memorable experience! Chef Martin lets the flavors of the food come out on their own with delicate seasoning. Flavors of the food were very rich. All of the food was excellent! We enjoyed how the waitress and staff were not hovering, but there when we needed them. Manager Steven and Chef Martin had an enjoyable conversation with us at the end of the meal while we were enjoying our dessert and port flight.

We had a wonderful meal for my wife's BD. She had the halibut and I had the lamb chops with spinach salad. The salad was perfect and enjoyed the dressing and the halibut was wonderful as was the lamb. We had the chocolate cake but did not care for the bite from alcohol. And service was pleasant and attentive from the minute we stepped in the door to when we left.

If you love French cafe's, really good food and being with people who are enjoying their dinner, then this bistro is for you. It is pricy but so worth it. My wife started with the gnocchi in a tomato bisque sauce that was "lick-the-plate" delicious. I started with the crab and prawn thing. So good. Her flat iron steak and my lamb were cooked to perfection but the star of the dinner was the chocolate dessert which was the dessert special of the evening. For chocolate lovers, it rocked. I enjoyed the wine offerings which were reasonably priced. All in all, we went home talking the praise of San Martin Bistro.

My husband and I celebrated Valentine’s Day early at Bistro San Martin. The food was excellent! I could have eaten a whole pot of the seafood bisque alone. I had a wonderful white wine flight chosen by our server, who was very nice and accommodating. This is our favorite restaurant to celebrate special occasions.

Food was amazing but very expensive. Bistro San Martin is a small place and it was packed I don’t like being 2 ft away from 3 other tables where every conversation can be heard in the entire place. With that said for 2 people you’re going drop about 170.00 for dinner and drinks and even more for a nice bottle of wine. I will be back though because the food like I said was amazing. If I could say one thing I wish bistro San Martin would spread the tables out a little it’s a restaurant not a sardine can it’s hard to have a nice romantic dinner when you’re right on top of everyone else.

Another excellent meal at Bistro San Martin! The food is always wonderful, the service is great, Steve is always friendly and has a happy face. Arlington is blessed to have such a wonderful restaurant. There's nothing of this caliber nearby... sad but true. Not sure what we would do if Bistro left!

I loved how you could see chef Martin cooking in the front section of the restaurant. Everything I ordered was absolutely exquisite. We got the crab cakes as a starter and the filet mignon with the lobster, which is the best steak I’ve ever eaten. I will most definitely be back for it again.

Food was excellent. Great sauces with the entrees. I had the duck which was a full 1/2 duck not the usual small breast served typically. We had the ahi poke appetizer , very tasty and the calamari.....very good, not breaded. came in a red sauce. Filet was cooked perfectly. Passed on desert this time, too full. Have been to this restaurant dozens of times and it never disappoints.

My wife and I have been to Bistro San Martin twice now and absolutely LOVE everything about it! Food and service is unparalleled. Delicious food! The portions weren't over the top like you get at other restaurants. They were just right. I did get really full with desert. Everything was great about our experience and I will be going back when I get another chance and every year with my wife on our anniversary.

The Bistro San Martin, was outstanding. I am so impressed. The chef was amazing and his co-owner and wait staff were so friendly. This was my first time here and I have worked in downtown Arlington for Dr. John Dykstra for 10 years. I will definitely go again.
