Went here for a Saturday night dinner with my wife. Everything that we had was amazing: tomato basil soup, Brussels sprouts, flank steak with potatoes au gratin, salmon niçoise, crème brûlée, and white chocolate bread pudding. The white chocolate bread pudding was especially delicious. Would definitely go back here again. Very good value for portion and quality that you get.
Food took a very long time to arrive. We were first seating and the restaurant did not seem full.
The location is great, the venue is wide open and bright , the energy is good.
Great place for business lunch. Consistently good tasting food. Reservation is recommended for lunch.
Been coming to this Bistro for awhile with friends n never been disappointed
with the service and food . Only complaint I have is the noise level, very loud!
Will recommend to my friends /visitors.
We headed here for an early lunch and arrived at 11:45 to beat the lunch rush. We had a reservation and were seated right away, in quite an empty restaurant. Given that, we were surprised when our order took almost 25-30 minutes to arrive. In that time our waitress never once came to check on us. When our orders did come, each individuals plate came at a different time, creating an awkward “to eat or not to eat” situation.
At the end of the meal we let our waitress know we were surprised our food had taken so long and she attributed it to the “busyness”, which we found surprising given the emptiness of the restaurant when we arrived. Overall, the service was poor, and the food was underwhelming and overpriced.
Great service, not intrusive but attentive none the less. This is hard to find
Food was great. Always love it here. Server didn’t come back around for a coffee fill up but otherwise it was all good.
Great service at the bar during lunch hour. Attentive but not intrusive which I appreciate. Food was good and consistent as usual.
Always a satisfying experience.
Server was very friendly & efficient. Food excellent. Since I usually come at 11:00 a.m. my only complaint is that it seems everyone gets off to a slow start.
Always great food and service and location!!!!!!!!
I had the salmon with an arugula salad and artichoke and sundried tomato risotto. It was outstanding. Our server was very attentive as well. We were very pleased and will be back.
Great view of the art gallery and Robson/Howe streets from our table by the window. Food and service continye to be good, but it's time to revise/update the menu with some new food offerings.
Server was almost rude in rushing us to place our order. Didn't ask for our beverage order so we drank water. The host was very sweet so it balanced out. Food was decent. Fresh and well-prepared.
Our server Olivia Lucas was fantastic! She was super personable and made sure we were well-taken care of.
Just awesome! Thanks to our wonderful servers Andy and Bryden, we had a great time.
Great view. Ask for a window seat.
food is always good :)
This was my first visit, my guest suggested the location. I have always loved the Nordstrom Cafe in Seattle so thought I would give it a try. I like that it is full seating and not cafeteria style like in Seattle. Food was good (fries were cold) and service was excellent, very attentive. I would come back but would not classify this as a place for a business lunch perhaps a casual lunch with a with a friend. Lovely atmosphere with all the windows and natural light.
Our server was excellent and the food was good and we had a nice lunch. The room could be a bit cosier. The view is excellent as we had a corner window table.
Our flight was cancelled and we stayed at the Westin Wall for the night. Since it was Chinese New Year and most restaurants were packed we thought we would try The Apron out. Was on Open Table and did not realize this place belonged to the hotel. Not to busy when we arrived and were seated in a nice cozy corner on the beach seats. We were both up to watch the hockey so that suited us perfectly. There were a choice of other tables if you did not want to see the tv. I had the spaghetti bolognese which came in a large warm bowl with a very generous helping of fresh grated Parmesan. The sauce was very plentiful and very tasty, much better than I thought it would be. Very hearty tomato flavour without the acidic taste you sometimes get, nice and rich tasting. Loved it. My husband had the Beef cheeks with yam gnocchi which was also excellent. Lots of been in a rich thickish broth, (between a broth and soup thickness), with yam gnocchi. This too was excellent, the beef cheeks were tender and tasty as were the gnocchi. We were very surprised that an airport type hotel had such excellent food, well priced and very good service. We stay at this hotel a lot, but never had the dinners. Will certainly try them again.
It was Valentine’s Day and my friends birthday. I made the reservation for a window seat, which we received but unfortunately we were seated in front of the kitchen.
I felt like no special notice was made to the special occasion. Our server was quick to take our payment but left without clearing our plates.
We decided to stay a little longer and have dessert and wine. We flagged down Chase ( who was awesome and helpful) since our server had disappeared. He found as a server to help us continue with our dessert and it was great.
Delicious food. Great service. Nice windows! Entree servings quite small. Complimentary bread and butter or mini appetizer would have been appreciated!
I was really disappointed in the salad I ordered, I believe it was a chicken and fig salad with cheese. The chicken on the outside was too crisp and tasted of oil, three small pieces, there was barely any cheese, the dressing was uninspiring and skimpy, I ordered more, I did not get good value for the cost I paid. Too much for so little that wasn't very tasty. I was going to bring my husband for Valentines Day and I have changed my mind. I was looking forward to introducing the Bistro to him, but I am going to take him elsewhere. What saved it was the view, and the wonderful server we had. Carol Siebert
My favorite downtown eating place. Good food, great service, nice environment.
Sat at the counter. The restaurant was extremely busy, but the bartender/servers were terrific. As always, the food was top notch. Thanks!
Found the wine list to be incredibly overpriced. Otherwise the food was tasty! Would come back again.
Great place for lunch. Prices are reasonable, service is very good and food is excellent.
We meet here at every VSO concert. The service is slow but food and ambience is good.
Food was great and One was awesome as a server. She took care of us and never went over board on checking in on how we were doing. Just perfect for business meeting.
Bathed in natural light (even when grey rainy Vancouver makes her appearance) with inspired views of architectural gems and good people watching, it's a great room overall. Our server, Alok, made our lunch experience even more delightful. I'd specifically request his service in future. Food inventive, inviting and delish!
$16.50 for a 6oz glass of wine? Other than that, service was great. Booked before noon for best table by the window.
Server was fantastic.
Waitress was informative, friendly, unobtrusive and efficient.
The server was great and the food was excellent. Always a wonderful restaurant to dine at.
DineOut Vancouver - great value for $30 for 3 courses. Yam soup nice and hearty for cold weather. Large salad. Chicken and mushroom orecchiette was delicious. Tuna tataki buttery and flavourful. Dessert was good though not inspired- ice cream in profiterole
View was great. Service was great
Great spot for dinner after a tough day of shopping. The food and service were excellent and we had a great table overlooking Robson square.
Our compliments to Emma our server who went above and beyond to make our dining special.
When we come to downtown to enjoy the Vancouver Art Gallery, we always start with a meal at Bistro Verde. Service is always warm and gracious, food is lovely with something for everyone, excellent value, great view of Robson Square. An elevator ride to the street, and we are off to the gallery. Highly recommended for a high quality, casual meal.
