Bistro Verde - Nordstrom Pacific Centre
Bistro Verde is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver on the third floor of Nordstrom Pacific Centre with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Robson square and the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Scratch made fare, craft cocktails and a wine and beer list with great local gems make this a destination restaurant for any occasion.
A good place to have a chat over lunch. Good view of Vancouver Art Gallery.
Great food and service! Never had to ask for anything They were on top of everything
Menu is outstanding making food a disappointment. No flavour, overcooked. Girls at front desk were
annoying. Ambience boring. Still too noisy.
Stoppped by on the way to the theatre, quick delicious sandwich and glass of wine
A bit of a hidden gem
Our server was Ruth and she was amazing! I took my little sister for her first visit to Bistro Verde and it was so much fun. We ordered a variety of starters, a bottle of champagne, and enjoyed watching the crowds on Robson and around the Art Gallery. A lovely day.
Great for kids!
Over priced, flavour less food and drinks. $15 for the worst ceaser ever. Soggy fries, fish tacos needed acidity. Waiter kept taking the drink menu away. No wonder it was empty on a concert night.
A very enjoyable lunch. I had the salmon Niçoise salad and the dressing was delicious. My only complaint would be that I thought the salmon was slightly overdone and therefore a bit on the dry side.
Our group enjoyed our dining experience at Bistro Verde. The food was well prepared and served in a timely fashion. Two of us shared a main course, which we appreciated being divided in the kitchen and served on separate plates. Also, the service we received was exceptional.
The wild shrimp salad was yummy. Service was prompt. Lovely place for lunch. Good wine selection available by the glass.
Didn’t have complimentary dessert for the birthday girl (and hostess never called when I requested this during my reservation/booking on Open Table). Also there is no updated menu on the Nordstrom website; instead all the menus are US-based locations. Talked to the manager about this and her explanation was “if we had to update all our menus for all our locations it would take forever!”. So instead she tells us to look at open table for the Nordstrom menu. However shouldn’t Nordstrom have their own updated menu? When I look for a menu of Nordstrom’s restaurant, I’m going to look at the Nordstrom website and I’m not immediately going to think to go to Open Table (a third party site) for a restaurant menu. Lastly we ordered an apple cobbler and we weren’t told it would take 15-20 minutes to be made (to order), so this ate into our work lunch time when we were rushing to get back to work. Overall a disappointing experience with poor communication.
Beautiful venue but average food. Food is priced well but beverages are pricey.
The lunch with 5 long time friends was excellent. We had good service and felt comfortable with sitting and chatting after we had finished our meal.
I have some food allergies so I made sure to tell our waiter exactly what to leave off my steak salad. However when my meal came the changes hadn’t been made. When I pointed that out to the server they immediately took it away, and apologized profusely and quickly remade the meal to my specifications. It was delicious even though it took an extra 10 minutes. My friends meal was just normal and arrived with my first one so she was basically finished before my meal arrived. They did offer her some extra fries and that was good too. Overall I will definitely come back because the view is beautiful and the food is very good.
Service was awful. Hostess was very rude. She saw me and my friend both walk by with strollers and never informed us to park the stroller behind the hostess stand until after we had settled into our tables . She then came and told us we were not allowed to park our strollers by the table. But to top this all off, she didn’t point us in the direction of where to park our strollers just said behind the hostess stand and was very rude in her manner of speech. When we placed it behind what we assumed was a hostess stand, we were then told that it was not and again to move it. Had the hostess done her job in the first place, we would not have had to run around and feel embarrassed. I also have another toddler sitting at the table and two other babies while me and my friend had to run back and forth with this stroller issue. How inconsiderate of the restaurant to not offer to assist us. Also, this hostess has served me twice and both times ill mannered in her way of talking. I eat at this restaurant a lot. Nordstrom is supposed to offer unparalleled service to customers. The restaurant has been disappointing the last two times.
Food always great! Service good. Always happy to come back
Went to Bistro Verde to catch up with a good friend I hadn't seen in over 5 years, so requested a quieter table so we could talk. We were seated at a lovely table next to the windows, overlooking part of Robson Street and the back of the art gallery. Our server Riley was engaging and attentive, while still giving us the time and space we needed to have a good visit. We shared the Brussels Sprouts Frite, the cod tostadas, and the truffle fries, along with a bottle of tempranillo. Thoroughly enjoyed everything, especially the fried Brussels Sprouts --- these are a must have! Will definitely be back.
Great welcoming service - great food- fab place to go for vegitarians
I think you should offer a house wine as your wines are very expensive.
Great place for lunch. Good selection of food that is well made and good value. Ask for the "secret" all day breakfast menu!
Our reso was for 12noon and promptly got seated.
Ruth our server was awesome. Great personality.
The food was tasty and clean.
Marianne wha seated us also came to check on us.
We thought that the cafe was short staffed. The waitress, which we have had before and who is very good, did not provide the usual service. It was very slow but it appeared that this was going on at various tables with different servers.
What a perfect place to get away from the noise and crowds. Beautiful location with window view of the city below. The food was delicious and we had the nicest waiter looking after us without rushing us.
Will certainly return whether I am shopping or not. A reason to go downtown.
The food was good, the service was attentive. Prices were a little on the high side with portions a little on the small side.
Great venue for that special occasion amid the cityscape
Skirt steak & pizza selections were not available upon our visit on Valentine’s Day. The restaurant recommended lamb shank which I thought was tender and flavourful. My wife ordered the Saffron Pasta and she thought it was just ok.
This place was great. The ambiance, the food, the view. The only thing was the absentee server. It wasn’t even busy when we began feeling ignored when we wanted to order more. It’s too bad. He was young and probably not very experienced but should have at least been by to see if we enjoyed the food or wanted more drinks or even to remove the empty plates. We will definitely go again because the other servers are probably much better and I think this experience of poor service will be a one off.
Pros: Great food, especially Caeser salad and fries. Value is high.
Cons: Service is very whatever, table arrangement is poor.
Ordered medium rare steak salad and it came out twice well done. Little flavor. Waiter was pleasant and accommodating but food was disappointing
I usually order the same thing (Turkey club) which is truly amazing. Every time I'm tempted to try something else, its a catastrophe though. (The Deconstructed caesar salad, prawn & chorizo pasta, are so bad they are inedible.) The location and service keep me coming back . I just have to learn to stick to what I know is good.
It’s such a downrated restaurant. I will definitely visit this restaurant again.
A place to stop and rest while shopping. Close to parking. Seems a bit noisy and could be better if there is some sort of a sound control system in place.
lots of fresh and healthy options - you can go all out with a heavier meal or eat healthy (and tasty) with one of their lower calories dishes. love the brussel sprouts!! and look forward to my ovation stick after every meal :)
The food was not scarce the portions of fries too little- we were served a very small glass for our beer then had to ask twice to get a bigger glass - finally one arrived hot from the dishwasher- useless for beer.
The price for one beer one Turkey sandwich with tip was over $30
Aside from the view the overly priced food and bad service- I would not recommend this place.
Sad because with very little work it could be a winner
I think you should have a vegetarian and vegan option. Our Waiteress was very nice and professional.
Came here for Dine Out Vancouver. It is conveniently located in downtown Nordstorm in PC mall. The staff were really nice and brought us to a window table. The night view was amazing and it was not noisy. We enjoyed our chats and were very comfortable. There was a variety of food selections and drinks on the menu. As we came here to try the Dine Out Menu, we stuck with that. We were very satisfied with all our dishes, from appetizer to dessert. There was no disappointment but only surprises of how good they were. It was a pretty awesome night with very good food. Totally recommend this place and will definitely return for cakes.
We order the dine-out menu. The celeriac apple soup was a pleasant surprise! Ambiance was nice and it was quiet (it was a Monday night). Definitely will come back again to try their regular menu.
Food was tasty. I was surprised that I was offered a breakfast menu, never happened before.
Wish it had eggs Benedict with smoked salmon (my favourite) on it.
However, I ended up ordering the vegetable omelette and it was very good!
Capuchino was good too.
Went for Dine Out on a weeknight. Food was excellent, great value for what we got. Waitress was knowledgeable and service was really good. Nice location at the top of Nordstrom, was not busy or loud while we were there.
We came in for Dine Out 2019 and we were extremely impressed by the whole environment where it was nice and calm for dining - the food choices were alright because there was a whole lot of cheese flavoring and nuts making the flavors clash slightly with the tastebuds. Our server, Tara, was amazing and checked in with us from time to time without being overbearing as some other restaurants I've been to could get with their servers. Tara was extremely pleasant to talk to and she had the friendliest smile and tone of voice. It really made the experience really great. We were placed by the host in a window-side seat so the views, despite the rainy weather, was amazing to see. To have yummy food with a side of a great view really tied it in together.
