Black Angus Steakhouse - Toronto
we had med rare + medium + well done steaks @ our table. seems like they put they on the grill @ the same time... the med rare + med steaks were not hot on arrival.
Very good food and server was exceptional.
Generally good; service maybe not as attentive as one might expect for a restaurant of this grade. The steak was good, but the cook/temperature was a little off between the diners. Medium rare served between the slight extremes of rare and medium. But despite this the cut of meat managed to present itself in a manner that this wasn’t a major concern. The wine list is nicely varied but pricey. The sea food tower with the wood smoke is a nice touch; all the different seafood elements are well prepared; certainly a signature piece for this restaurant.
Birthday for my husband. I called a head and they made a special dessert for him. Loved it.
A wonderful steakhouse. Service was exceptional. A quiet night so expect the noise level to be higher when the restaurant is busy.
Black Angus was amazing from the time we walked in the front door, to the time we left.
The staff were very friendly, making us feel welcome.
The menu and the service at the table was very informative. We knew exactly what we were going to get.
Presentation outstanding , both food and service.
Food taste , out of this world.
Definitely going back to Black Angus
My bill was $30 more than expected as we were not told that we would be charged for water. Other than that, the experience was pleasant.
We took a friend for dinner for his birthday and I have never seen anyone enjoy his food so much.
It was like he was in heaven.
The food was exceptional. Service was excellent.
Food was exceptional, as was the service.
Food was amazing! Best grilled scallops I have ever eaten, and the steak was unbelievable. It's an expensive meal for sure but you definitely get what you pay for.
Pretty tasty. Had the arctic char. Good fish, well roasted asparagus. But the quinonwas under seasoned. Overall a pleasant experience. Kind of pricy though for area.
Great food. Served hot. Great staff and atmosphere. A very enjoyable lunch. Will be back soon!
Beautiful reinvention of an old wonderful steakhouse. Original was excellent but this is better.
GREAT STEAK. My guests enjoyed and were properly impressed with this beautiful dining room.
Will return for great food and ambiance.
Good food. Big portions
We’ve been going to Black Angus Steakhouse for years and highly recommend it. The staff are always incredibly friendly and the food is phenomenal. We just experienced brunch for the first time and will definitely be going back!
Lovely staff and manager made every effort to make our experience nice. Presentation was nice, decor outstanding. I think some work needs to be done on taste-crab cakes were completely bland and aioli sauce without much flavor. The Old Bay and other seasonings could be stepped up. Onion soup flavorless as well-onions should be carmelized for flavor. Oysters were good, salmon was nice.
The food and service were great and the steak cooked to perfection.
What a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner we had at the Black Angus! I had the grilled chicken supreme and the French onion soup. For dessert, I ordered the creme brulee cheesecake. All were excellent. That was the best French onion soup I had ever had. The broth, omg! The service from Candice and Dano was amazing. They were courteous and kind and really went beyond to make sure we had a great meal. Their knowledge of menu items was over the top. Thanks again, I will be back! Susan from Woodstock.
Mashed was dry and not creamy as listed. Steaks were $20 dollars not $50+. Sorry. Asked for Au jus for my son. Sorry. We can’t? Average at best with a big bill!
My experience was good in terms of food and service . I was slightly disappointed that Black Angus asked if I was celebrating a special occasion online ( 10 year anniversary ) and did not do anything particularly special for it. In other restaurants they would offer a free dessert or drink.
First time at the new location. The atmosphere is great. The Maitre d' was friendly and engaging. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive and fun we couldn't have asked for better service. The food was amazing! We had the Original 1964 Ceasar salad which is delicious, I had the 14oz Rib Eye and my husband had the 8oz Filet. Both were perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth. It was a wonderful evening. Love the new location and the new look. We will be back.
Lovely night out staff was excellent and food was wonderful
The food and service was excellent. I decided to take my husband to the Black Angus for his birthday as he is a real steak lover and I knew he wouldn't be disappointed going here.
The restaurant is good, however, is a little pricey for lunch. We were a party of two. A soup & crab cake appetizer, burger & two glasses of wine & one dessert ran almost $120 with tip! Enjoyed the food, however, ouch when the bill arrived!
Excellent service and food was good. First time at new location. The auto shut off lights in the bathroom are a pain. If you're in the stall they shut off and now you're in the dark. Stupid!
Great lunch experience overall! The service was exceptional.
Great service and good food overall a great experience
Slow service. Grotesquely overpriced. Zero ambience. 8pm on a Saturday evening and the place was almost empty, given the prices and service, I’m not surprised why. VERY ordinary food. $70 for a bottle of wine that LCBO sells for $14? - I get restaurants make most of their profit on alcohol, but that is a ridiculous markup. Also double charged for mains that we had to point out to the waitress. I definitely wouldn’t go back.
The manager and our server were on point with our service and made sure we were taken care off. it was my girlfriends bday and they gave her a nice desert, i recommend it.
This restaurant is a little pricey but the food quality was good. Great location with a nice patio for outdoor dining.
Exceptional service from arrival to ending the evening. We stayed well past closing and the staff were extremely accommodating. Wonderful experience.
I’ve eaten there before and always had great meals , but my wife’s fish was a bit soggy instead of crispy on the outside, our sever asked and when we told her , sent over manager , who right away agreed and ordered her another that was done perfectly
As well gave us each a extra glass of wine no charge , and on top of that because it was our anniversary, complimentary cheesecake and Prosecco , service above and beyond thank you David you made our night
Very nice place
Generally high qualità food
Good ambient And very warmful service
Loved everything about it. Came for our anniversary dinner and had a great time. Would definitely go back.
An old favourite. Been going here since the early 80’s when it was at the old location. Just as good, if not better!
The food was great and our server was amazing! Thanks guys
The food was exceptional and the ambience was better than we expected. We will definitely be returning!
Wonderful food and experience! It’s our regular spot when we feel like a treat in the West End. Much more than (excellent) steak, the fish is always a winner.
I've never given a review of a restaurant before but I felt this was necessary. My wife and I traveled from Niagara falls to Black Angus Steakhouse for our anniversary. The service and drinks were good, however! We ordered the large seafood tower after seeing it on BlogTo and it was not at all what they advertised on that site nor what they advertise on the Black Angus site. The scallops were so undercooked I could hear Chef Ramsey screaming in my head, the lobster was so dried out that it could barely be removed from the shell and once removed was the size of a small shrimp. Then the bacon/proscuttio wrapped shrimp were a dry and salty mess. We left half the tower untouched and exited hungry.
We did not complain at the time because our waitress was very nice but upon leaving the restaurant the whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths (pardon the pun).
Avoid Black Angus Steakhouse but if you're a glutton for punishment and must visit, at least leave the Seafood tower alone, I've had better seafood at red lobster or Long John Silvers
Very fat steaks, burned on outside, but not even smoky. Servers do not warn you that WATER IS NOT FREE. And the fact that water is not free does not add value.
