Black Angus Steakhouse is one of Toronto's landmark steakhouses, originally established in 1964. Today, Black Angus Steakhouse has expanded its tradition by moving to a stunning new restaurant space at the north-east corner of Bloor and Islington. Black Angus Steakhouse is renowned for superb food, excellent service and pleasing ambiance, all of which carry through to our new restaurant. Mixing the old with the new, guests can enjoy lunch and dinner in our elegant dining room or our casual lounge/bar area. We have a private room for larger groups, celebrations and business functions. Our outdoor patio provides a chic setting for seasonal dining and outdoor festivities.

    It's a pretty good option for steaks. However, I tried the place 2-3 years ago and it was the best steak ever. Unfortunately, the menu options are shorter now, the food it's good but was better before. The service 5/5 people is super friendly and polite. The drinks are pretty good, no complaints about it.     I ordered Steak and Fries medium and got a fast fry steak. There was no taste to it. My husband ordered his steak medium rare and although the steak size was thicker, no taste and was chewy. Will never go back.

    The young lady who served us was very very pleasant. She must’ve been involved in the other dining section of the restaurant because we felt like we might be a little bit of an afterthought in the bar area. The vodka penny was delicious. The steaks, however, were less than desirable. One was over cooked, one was coldish and they were all very very chewy. The steaks came sitting on entire platter of french fries, which made it a little awkward to cut the steak …to say the least.

    We thought that the dining experience was a bit underwhelming. Service was good and there not many people in the restaurant but we found the meal very average and therefore not great value for the price. A 9oz glass of very ordinary wine for $27.00 is also a little over the top. Probably wouldn’t rush back.

    Steak was really nicely cooked. Great decor and ambiance. This place has really stepped it up over the years. Highly recommended if you are in the west end! Quality is really good and the service is A+.

    just a piece of meat on a plate with noting else for $90. Music was too loud -chili peppers??? Steak was good but not $90 and nothing else on the plate. And tipping starts now at 18%. since when. I know I can change it but just rude to hand me a debit machine with top at 18% or higher.

    We went to Black Angus for a birthday celebration. The menu is excellent, service was very friendly and attentive and we met the Chef which was a lovely touch for the party. We will be back.

    It was a quiet weekday so the mood in the dining room was subdued. Service could have been a little more attentive. Food was fair, not outstanding. But I would give the place another chance.

    Because we did not receive the bill, but only read it on the card machine, we are unable to identify the server. She was the only lady with grey hair. Both servers very attentive and friendly. We appreciate kitchen honesty that the lamb was not up to standard they like to serve, so I re-ordered by choosing the chicken. Excellent taste. Meat-to-vegetable ratio perhaps a bit high. If there had been slightly less meat we might have sprung for more vegetable sides. Kitchen staff kept looking our way and appeared quite amused. Not sure why, but it did not affect our enjoyment. Music audible but not overpowering, and reflected events in Toronto that day. We were seated at a booth, which seemed quieter, and also warmer because we realize it is difficult to set air conditioning at a happy medium.

    Food was EXCELLENT. You get what you pay for - high quality steaks and excellent sides which are generously portioned. Loved our server as well (cant recall her name but she was great). Will be back for sure.

    Out waiter Daniel was superb. He knew the menu and made great recommendations. He was uniquely attentive, entertaining and prompt paying attention to details. The food was mouthwatering with clean plated details. The taste of the wagyu beef, prime rib and chilean sea-bass was sublimely delicious. Kudos to the kitchen chefs! Dessert was over the top and perfect for a birthday celebration — who knew a cheesecake would arrive with a brûlée coating?! Savoured to the last bit!! Such a great experience for mom and son for his first white linen 5-star dinner! Definitely referring to my friends and family.

    food was a little pricey - should have sides included with steaks found it very warm inside service was excellent

    VERY DISAPPOINTING. Reservations for an anniversary May 2023. We had previously dined at your restaurant when we lived at Palace Pier. My filet was served on a tiny black plate with little room for additional side dishes. Visually, steak looked unappetizing, didn’t appear to be quality beef tenderloin. Porcini mushroom medley, so salty we couldn’t eat so they took plate away. My husband had difficulty cutting through fat. Sauce tasteless. What happened to Béarnaise sauce, a fine compliment to a good steak. Prices were not in keeping with a fine steakhouse. The only thing everlasting is we will never return.

    Went for my husband’s birthday. Was beautiful and the food was cooked to perfection. We also had such lovely service. Will visit again.
