Black Bass has been our go-to resturant for celebrations for many years. Five of us visited to celebrate an anniversary and again enjoyed our experience. Our server was delightful. She was personable, attentive, and seemed genuinely interested in providing stellar service. For the most part our meals were delightful, as we have come to expect. The shortribs were plentiful, tasty, and tender. After consulting with our server, four of us ordered the "crispy" duck cooked medium rare. This was our only disappointment. While the duck was tender, it was cooked closer to medium than rare and was not "crispy." This did not overshadow our otherwise pleasant evening so that we surely will return to celebrate and merely enjoy dining here.

The black bass is an awesome place to stay and to have a wonderful meal with professional staff in an awesome kitchen staff that provides the best meals you’ll find anywhere in Pennsylvania. The meals and the drinks and the service are just superb.

Great place to eat with water views of the Delaware River and the walking bridge to NJ. Food is always outstanding along with the service. We had a room for the night. Always an excellent stay.

The Black Bass Inn has been on my bucket list for a long time and I was finally able to take my family there on Black Friday. My party and I however were somewhat disappointed with our experience. The food was so-so and the waitress seemed like she would have much rather been somewhere else. Additionally, I don't think the experience was worth what we paid. The "Jumbo" Lump Crab Cake was more like a miniature Lump Crab Cake. And all agreed the Farmhouse Ragú was very bland, and tasteless... like, maybe they forgot to add the seasonings. The Porcini Rubbed Roasted Chicken Breast had a nice flavor but the chicken was dried out. To be fair though, dried-out chicken seems to be a problem at many restaurants these days and not just specific to this location. The Sautéed Potato Gnocchi however was very good and I would highly recommend it. The ambiance there was really nice with great views of the Delaware River and canal towpath. There's also a footbridge that leads over to a state park on the NJ side in the event that you want to walk off your mediocre dinner. Our experience wasn't terrible, however, we won't be returning to the BBI as there are much better choices elsewhere

Black Bass is an old time favorite of mine and my visit this year with an out-of-town relative did not disappoint! The setting alongside the Delaware River is perfect and you take a step back in time upon entering, especially in the charming dark-paneled bar with British memorabilia displayed in the glass cabinet that line the walls. Our waitress Sharilyn was excellent and she regaled us with tales of the Tories during the Revolutionary war, the surgical table from that period which is now a bar dining table, and the quaint and cozy downstairs pub room which once served as a morgue during that war. Our dinner, which is the Black Bass signature dish, Charleston Meeting Street Crab, was absolutely delicious! We had such an amazing time that I booked a reservation for some other out-of-town guests just a few days later.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Black Bass Hotel. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is very quaint and sits in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed all our meals at the inn. I highly recommend the Balck Bass Hotel.

The hostess did a great job juggling many reservations and people lingering at their tables. The entrees were fabulous! The desserts were more than disappointing- the pear almond torte was close to flavorless and the pumpkin cheesecake was anemic. Both desserts had crusts the consistency and flavor of cardboard. Such a contrast to the quality of the entrees!

Beautiful space, recommend going in warmer weather if dinner so you can see the river. Food was very good, service a bit slow. Asked us if we wanted bread, forgot to bring it until we asked. My companion ordered a second glass of wine that never arrived. The valet parkers were extremely helpful and polite. Food was innovative and delicious though my entree, the duck, had small sides. The duck was melt in your mouth.

Great service , loved the old world charm . My husbands filet mignon was done to perfection medium rare , I had the signature crab dish , delicious . We ordered a cheese plate for desert , one of the best we've ever had ! The Stilton deserves a worthy mention . Thank you all at Black bass , our service was amazing ! We will return

Our third time dining here in the last couple of months. The food was very good and our waitress was very nice and apologetic for the delays. We think we will pass on dining there for awhile. It is difficult to get into for a handicapped person and the parking is across the road. The road is never very busy but if you can't cross quickly it gets a little scary. We always request a table by tye window and last night we were told none were available. Several tables were vacant and people who came in awhile after us were seated at them. Could be a timing thing but we do dine early.

Service was not good but in the past it has not been a problem. Waiter did not take drink order until halfwaythrough the meal. Portions were very small but what we had was tasty. Sometimes we all have a bad day. Will be back soon because we do love it there!

The food was good, but got steak eggs for brunch and ordered one medium rare and the other rare. Go both well done - services super slow. Desserts were weird. If it were not for the ambiance and scenery, not be worth the visit. Still would go back but not Sunday Brunch

The hostess, Linda, greeted us with warmth, and kindness, and seated us promptly. Our server, Jean, was terrific! She was quick to provide us with drinks and delicious food, without being intrusive to our conversation. We loved our evening with friends, and will be back soon!! Great night all around!

We come here often but this visit not so good. We had a reservation at 7:45. Didn’t get seated until after 8:15. Service was slow, soup lukewarm and I asked for my steak to be medium temp. Close to raw when I cut into it. This typically is one of our favorite places but this night was terrible:(
