The food was amazing. A bit pricey for drinks and salads, although they were very good. The ambiance can’t be beat. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that our server was terrible. No personality. Seemed annoyed by questions.

Dynamite view from our window table. This a Sunday brunch. The place was very busy. Multiple large parties. The place is VERY old school. It has seen better days. Small holes in white linen tablecloth. The menu does not change much I was excited to see a cheese platter on the menu. Very dull presentation on a dinner plate. Two of the cheeses were decent, Humboldt Fog and a lovely blue cheese. Stake banquette cut up. Dull raspberry dip. Food OK, steamed veggies with decent crab cake. My husband reported a nice Omelet with overcooked potatoes. The staff looked weary

A lovely, quiet setting for a special occasion dinner. Service, food and ambience were wonderful. My only criticism is that the entrees came too quickly after our appetizers. It would have been nice to have a little more time in between. Other than that-fabulous!

My wife and I have enjoyed dining at the Black Bass for years. We just celebrated our 37th anniversary there yesterday. During those years, we have always found the food, service, ambience, to be excellent. The restaurant is a local treasure.

This is one of our favorites in Bucks County. Lovely views and delicious food. I have to thank our waitress for helping to rectify some unusually slow kitchen service on a recent visit. Our appetizers were wonderful and came out at a an appropriate time. The entrees however, were very delayed and then my swordfish was very chewy. A dissappointment after waiting so long. The was the first time I've been dissastified with their food, however, in over 20 years of occasional visits. Our waitress made it right on the bill, though, so we will be back!

We had a fantastic meal and experience at the Black Bass where we celebrated my birthday. They honored my request and gave us a spacious table by the window. Our server was wonderful - friendly, kind, efficient, helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. She really added to the whole experience. She even brought out dessert with a candle and gave me a birthday card with a very pretty sketch of the Black Bass Hotel on the front. Service was perfectly paced. We absolutely loved the menu - it was hard to choose from the variety of tempting offerings. The food was phenomenal - from the Spinach & Strawberry Salad to our generously portioned entrees - Crab-stuffed Salmon and the Mahi Mahi special. The Salted Chocolate Caramel Tart dessert was soooo good! We added the homemade cinnamon swirl ice cream - I highly recommend both! I also recommend the champagne - I especially liked the rose! I was so glad I chose the Black Bass to celebrate my birthday. A perfect place for a special occasion!

My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch for her birthday. The food was delicious! Our waitress was considerate, patient, and friendly. Other than having to ask for bread, we had a lovely experience! And, we were able to sit and chat. No one rushed us!

Beautiful view on upstairs deck, delicious meal and a pleasant, attentive server, Sherilynn! There was a glitch in the system, however, with respect to choosing an appropriate reservation time, due to the Labor Day holiday schedule. But the staff accommodated us nicely. We'll be back! :)

Beautiful restaurant with a lot of history. The food is a bit basic. It is a shame that such a place serves cuban sandwiches and burgers. It would deserves an inspired chef with a more interesting menu.

While the location was lovely, the food was very bad. We ordered Brie en croute as an appetizer. The Brie was still cold and the toast served with it was stale and tasteless. At least the grapes were good on that dish. We also ordered the eggs Benedict. The eggs were underdone…and the dish was cold. Incredibly disappointing experience.

As always, the Black Bas exceeded our expectations! The menu is always fabulous and the prices are reasonable for an upscale dinner. The ambiance is charming, the wait staff are kind, helpful, efficient, and very knowledgeable, and the beer, wine, and cocktail menu is extensive. It was the perfect place to celebrate our son’s 34th birthday!
