Celebrated a 60th birthday with 13, when we had only reserved for 10. They were very accommodating. Service and food were both awesome!
Great service! Roberto was wonderful and helped make my friends surprise 50 th Birthday dinner a blast!!

I truly recommend the Sunday brunch. Blackwall Hitch has is a great place to gather to eat and enjoy the atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.
We enjoyed our dinner at Blackwall Hitch. We ordered appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The food tasted good but there wasn't much of it for the price we paid. The French fly flight was pretty good :) my brother ordered the shrimp appetizer for $17 and it came with 5 shrimp and a piece of bread. I ordered the Smith island cake and it was alright, nothing special. Overall, nice place. Not sure if I want to spend that much money on a little bit of food again.
Food was great, very noisy in the large dining room, but had a great vibe on a Friday night! Service was good and we had a great evening!
Went there for Mother's Day. Very crowded and noisy. $1 Mimosas. Will not go there again for Brunch on a holiday like occasion, was just too busy. The buffet included mostly breakfast items, need more dinner/lunch items.
So, it was Mother's Day and they had a buffet brunch for $39.99 per person. I had reservation for 3 and was seated at a table for 2 with an extra chair squeezed in, sticking out into the walkway. I asked for a bigger table and was moved without much issue. We had to wait 15 minutes for our reservation. Not the best way to start off. Their buffett was good but not spectacular. My son ordered non alcoholic "fancy lemonades" that came from the bar but cost $8.00... we were not advised as to the price. I would return and order off their regular menu but they did not seem prepared for Mother's Day and it left me feeling, "meh."
I had made a reservation for 8 (yes 8) a week before and had specially requested to be seated on the upper floor. But upon arrival, the hostess had this 'oh sh*t' look on their faces. They clearly did not listen to my request. Then they didn't even try to get me the table I wanted. We were seated on the ground floor. The food was good as always, but I was a bit disappointed that I had given them more than enough time to get my reservation right. It was a very special night for both families, and I was saddened that this amazing restaurant didn't even follow directions. I would definitely eat there again but call them ahead of time to make sure they got the reservation right. (Which is slightly annoying).
Just across the bridge in Eastport Annapolis, with ample parking. Well appointed restaurant and bar. Seasonal, local preference fresh produce and seafood - a variety of fresh oysters were delicious. Crab cakes were generous. Loved their take on soft shell crabs. Calimari was tender. Moderately expensive. Good service.
Everything was overly salty (and I love salt). We started with the French Fry Flight. The portion is huge for an appetizer. While the dips and fry combinations were good, the fries themselves were far to salty especially farther down the cup we ate. For the meal, I ordered the soft shell crabs. There was so much fried, salty breading that you couldn’t taste the freshness of the generously sized crabs. I picked all the fried batter off and, unfortunately, could still taste the salt and oil flavor. My date ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos and the freshness of the fish was again lost in the fried flavor.
The restaurant has a lot of potential. The atmosphere is nice, the deck was great and the staff was friendly. The menu has a lot of delicious sounding options. The failure lies in the fact that not everything needs to be fried or covered in salt to taste good. For the prices, I expected much, much more.
We were a party of four, we all enjoyed our appetizers: The Sassy mussels, gazpacho, and a french fry flight. The entree prices are way too high for the quality of seafood and food served.
My fish tacos were ok--plenty of mahi-mahi and the addition of feta was tasty but the coleslaw was flavorless. My friend's scallops were burnt to the point that two of the scallops (a total of 4) had no soft texture in them and we're hard hockey pucks. The scallops had been overly seared on both sides. The so-called saffron risotto didn't resemble risotto and when I tasted it, it was a sticky-gooey flavorless substance. She told the manager and he offered to give her something else. She picked fish tacos. The fish tacos come with a delicious side of roasted corn, but when my friend's tacos arrived she was not given any eating utensils. As the manager placed the plate down my friend politely asked if she could get a fork. The manager rolled his eyes slightly and then he never brought a fork. On top of that he had the nerve to charge her a dollar for the scallop meal. I guess because she did eat one scallop --that's how she knew they were tough and horrible. Our waitress became unattentive after our entrees cames. We had to hunt down various other people for assistance. My other friend did not realize his snapper was fried but description did say breaded, he was mildly satisfied with the dish. Overall the dining room looks great; and the resto has a huge appetizer menu so maybe this resto is best for appetizers and drinks.
Restaurant wasn't busy. Waitress was not timely on drinks. Didn't listen on other items. Dessert was delivered incorrectly. Food portion wasn't great.
My second time dining here, and chose the Sunday Brunch rather than the menu options; I personally was not impressed with the brunch and the set up was rather odd with having to switcht between two different rooms for brunching selections. Not sure if I'd partake in the brunch again, but I'd definitely return to dine of the menu.

The space is beautifully decorated and the small sofas were so comfy during our girls brunch... Loved the seating. The food was awesome! 💛 and the wait staff was very attentive. I had an awesome experience!
Amazing brunch and bottomless mimosas. The crab soup was the best I’ve ever had.

Once again we were disappointed with Blackwall. Every so often we decide we are going to give it "another chance". We made 8pm reservations, got there a bit early and after not receiving a friendly greeting from the hostess, was told that there would be at least a 20 minute wait. By looking at the number of reservations on their computer screen and the number of people crammed into the waiting area, I was guessing it would be more.
After waiting 20 minutes, not being called and the same number of people still waiting, we left for Luna Blu and had a great evening.
I wish I could like Blackwall Hitch---the decor is so pretty and it is close to my house!
For a nice looking place, our experience was poor!! A Hoolihans experience w 36$ entrees. For that price point I expect good service and ambiance. We waited 20 mins for drinks while a loud wedding in room behind us made us unable to hear as we tried to celebrate a Birthday. Waitress disappeared. Our drinks and salad then came together and immediately after came our entrees so it felt like it all came out together so we were rushed. I complained to manager who did nothing but asked wedding to turn down volume. Nothing comped and Bday never recognized despite leaving advanced notice. Food wasn’t bad but sloppy presentation. If u want a bar scene this is the place but don’t go for a fine dining experience unless you like throwing away your money!! Will never go back!!!
This is a really great place to eat and entertain guest or family who are in town.

They don’t respect reservations so expect to wait a long time if you make a reservation! We had to wait an hour after our reservation time to be seated .
The atmosphere is hectic, unprofessional, disorganized and the food is not all that good.
When sitting at the oyster bar it was interesting to watch staff members run by and grab french fries to stick their mouth.
All in all a very unpleasant experience-
Shrimp and grits were soooooo good. Salvating just thinking about it. So so good.
Excellent service and nice ambiance. However, I ordered salmon and kale salad. The salmon didn’t meet my expectations. It was stale and not fresh. It tasted like it’s been frozen for a while. The kale leaves and stems were matured and fibrous.
Service was terrible. Calamari over cooked. Scallops were very good.
We went here for dinner on a Sunday night. Service was very good. The waiter was knowledgeable and made recommendations of things to get or not to get, which is appreciated. The food was very good. The crab dip appetizer was good but they didn’t provide enough pita for the amount of dip and charged you extra for more...which is chincy I think. But the rest of the food was good portions for the price. It’s a beautiful restaurant as well.
First time. Food was great! We sat outdoors in their roof top dining. It is small- but fun view. Cozy. Wait staff was great. We recommend the flaming crab dip! Yum! We will be back. Parking is a challenge if they are busy- even though they have their own parking lot.

I have a certified Therapy Dog and was in town for a memorial service. I made the reservation for the rooftop so I could bring the Dog, but was too cold. Not knowing what the Maryland Therapy Dog rules were, I offered to leave. The hostess insisted that we stay, seated us at a discreet table, brought a bowl of water and made us feel so welcome. I was treating a dear friend to birthday dinner and we had a delicious meal. Much to choose from. The shrimp appetizer was a robust way to start the meal. The Smith Island Cake tasted like it had "real" buttercream frosting.
When we were leaving, the Governor and his entourage arrived in a flurry of dark cars and suits. He didn't need therapy from a big black lab, so we took our satisfied leave!!

Nice food and drink selection. The server was somewhat attentive; the fries were not hot but warm; and the fish and chips were overcooked (almost burnt). I would try again with the hopes that the food would be hot when served and not overcooked. My family and loved the atmosphere. Great location.
My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time, and it was on a Sunday for brunch. Our experience was spectacular. The food was great and so was Ashley our waitress. Ryan the Manager on duty was very pleasant. He came over to make sure we were enjoying our experience, he also spoke to us throughout our time dining at the restaurant if we looked like we needed a little direction! Not only was he speaking to the guests to ensure they were enjoying their dining experience he was also working the floor, assisting his team where necessary. I saw him carrying trays of dirty dishing a few times and really lending a hand where he could. It was nice to see that as a Manager he doesn’t just lead the team, but he gets involved in the “dirty” work as well. We will surely be visiting again for Sunday brunch!!!
Expansive brunch offerings (which were all tasty), great live music and tasty mimosas for a good price. I'll be back soon.!

Never heard of it! Selected it for a friends birthday lunch and we were both amazed! Brian, our server was great and there were so many food options that we didn’t know which to decide. We both selected the crab cakes and a salad — kale and ceaser. Needless to say neither of us left disappointed. Thanks for making her birthday lunch a great event! Can’t wait to return!
