Blackwall Hitch - Annapolis
Excellent food and service. Very easy parking, especially for an Annapolis/Eastport location.
The food was great! Beef short rib and grilled pork chops were well prepared. Desserts were good also. We had the s’mores cake and truffles. Our waitress was not very attentive and we weren’t offered bread. We noticed the patrons dining next to us received bread. Although we had finished our entrees, we asked for it because it looked delicious (and it was).
Food and service was fantastic! Especially appreciated hands on service by Chef Montanez! Tars was very attentive and personable!
St Patty’s Day brunch
Our server, Hillary, was great. The specialty drink selection was fantastic. The pork chop and mahi mahi tacos were delicious. The hostess greeting was sub par. A host/hostess should always smile and say “welcome,” not: “I can’t find your reservation.” Other than that...a very good restaurant.
The food was delicious, the atmosphere wonderful and our server Hillary was outstanding!! She was attentive and observant! I would definitely recommend this place to my friends, and ask for her section!
The ambience is the highlight here! Every surface, room, lighting fixture, is impeccable! The problem here is the food did not live up to the scenery. I was thrilled to see braised short ribs on the menu however what I received was pot roast. The richness normally associated with short ribs was nowhere in this dish. If I had ordered pot roast I would've been happy...but i didn't and i wasn't. A dining companion found his rockfish to be a little "strong " and not fresh, perhaps a casualty of dining in a Sunday. The deserts were delicious but the coffee deplorable. We would like to go back because of the homeyness and comfortable atmosphere, but may not because of the food.
Yes! The food is extremely fresh and the customer service is excellent.
We went for restaurant week and found out they were not participating. Not sure if that is on them or open table. The service was horrible. Took forever to order, receive meal, and pay. Eventually had to go to cashier to pay.
Fun good music
Wonderful evening from the atmosphere to the service to food and drinks!
One of my favorite restaurants in Annapolis. Drinks, Ambiance, Food, all great. Ask for Chris as your server... he does an excellent job!
Very nice restaurant. Only issue was parking.
This our second time going here. This first experience was no doubt 5 stars across the board. This experience was a 180. Because we had such a great time on date night, I figured it would also be great to take my wife and kids for my wife’s birthday dinner. I was wrong. The greeter up front was very unwelcoming throughout and acted as if she was doing us a favor when we asked for the server. The pleasantry of our server started off good, and then went south. Our kids were on dessert by the time 2 adult meals came. The server passed by several times before checking on us. One of the tines we asked her to clear the appetizers off the table and she stated that she would be right back. After an additional 10 minutes and walking by several time without addressing the issue, action was taken. By that time we were already annoyed and my wife went to speak to a manager. Immediate action was taken. At that point we just wanted our food and wanted to go. Additional desssrts given to us were appreciated, but not wanted our necessary. This was not the experience we were seeking, especially on such a momentous occasion.
Would I go again? Definitely not anytime soon. As stated, the first time was fun, and the 2nd time was not fun. Perhaps the weekend crew is different from the daytime crew.
Tried this place for the first time for Restaurant week, and the food was delicious!! I'm sad I forgot my leftovers on the table 😕 Will definitely be back!
The staff was very accommodating and the food was good. The only problem was it was very breezy in the restaurant, many patrons had to wear their coats, just uncomfortable.
Excellent food. We did their restaurant week menu and enjoyed every course. We have been before and always enjoy the experience.
We have been for dinner several times and enjoyed it but the Sunday Brunch Buffet was horrible. Soggy waffles (not made to order so they steamed inside the pan), oysters were not good, they seemed to have been shucked for a while because the tops were dry, desserts were not appealing and also were dry, mimosas were almost all orange juice, we had to order glasses of sparkling wine (more expensive) and put orange juice in from our first "mimosas". It was four of us and we spent over $200 which included the sparkling wine and 1 coffee with baileys. Not happy!!!
Nick provided great service and brunch buffet provided a good selection.
Food was excellent, service was very good. The only drawback was our own fault, made reservations for 7:00, then showed up at 6:15 and had to wait a few minutes.
What a wonderful experience my spouse and I had on our anniversary. Cameron was an excellent server, and the manager Brian was extremely kind, giving us little perks for making it 6 whole years of marriage. (Chocolate works for me!)
Shrimp and grits had an excellent spicy Andouille sausage which lent a unique flavor to the dish. Other restaurants skimp on the spice, but not Blackwall Hitch. I had the risotto which was creamy, lovely, and perfectly seasoned. Fries 3 ways and crab dip were fine apps, and the figgy mule was an excellent cocktail. 10/10 would recommend for date night, small group, and I even saw a party in a back room.
So delicious! Beautiful setting, excellent pacing. Did restaurant week so also great value!
Good food, good service, highly recommend. Special occasion, Granddaughter Birthday, she loved it, great experience!
Really nice time. Cameron provides excellent service and the whole staff is great.
Fantastic service, food, waiter Roberto, manager Brian. Would recommend to anyone. Will definitely come back soon.

Awesome! Amazing drinks, wonderful service!
I ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad. The chicken was supposed to be blackened which to me means that it should have some kind of Cajun spice. It was very bland. They were very nice to have sent over another chicken breast that was supposed to have the correct spices however it too didn’t have any kick. My friend ordered the salad with salmon. She said it was very bland as well.
One of, if not the best brunch buffets in Annapolis. Great variety, quality seafood, a chicken and waffles station, and $2 mimosas are going to have me going back again.
Great brunch variety, amazing sweets and waffle bar! Sort of pricy at around 39.00 per person for the brunch buffett
Very noisy, but overall a great experience with delicious food and excellent service!
Nice atmosphere and great service. However, the food is mediocre and very expensive.
Good food, poor service. We went as a family on a special occasion looking for more than just casual dining. Dinner started with the bread basket, which scrapped together enough for all but one of us. We were promised more, but they didn't come until requested--and they were much warmer and softer then the first round. One of my pet peeves is auctioning off the food when when it arrives to the table--that tells me that I'm not special or worth remembering. Drink refills are another tell--refills on wine were offered promptly, but iced tea and lemonade were overlooked. And not that it is a service sin, but just dropping off boxes and a bag for me to shlep my own left overs didn't win any last minute points. Props to the busboy who saw and fixed our wobbly table.
Great service. Awesome menu. Amazing ambience.
Brunch buffet was great, food was fresh
The main negative point I have is that I made a 7pm reservation in advance for 2 people and ended up not getting sat until 7:40pm. We were not too pleased at that point but luckily the server and food were great. I think the cost is higher than what the food/experience is worth though. We probably won’t be back any time soon.
Although it was nice for my husband and I to get away from the baby for a night, the service wasn’t great or the food. First we ordered drinks and an appetizer. My drink order was wrong. They immediately fixed I will say and wasn’t our servers fault. It was whoever was the drink runner. Appetizer was good. Our meal wasn’t ideal. My husband ordered the crab cakes. Thankfully he shared with me because my filet was burnt. I ordered it medium and it came out crisp. At this point we wanted to just leave and not spend anymore time waiting for our server to come back. He only checked on us 1x after we received our appetizer until it was time for the check. Disappointing for such a cute place. Doubt we will head back.
Amazing and Ashley Hooper (our server) was even better
This was a Special Valentine's day for us...our 50th as a married couple and it was made even better by your excellent meal service and of course the ROSE!
We will be back.....all the way from Knoxville Tennessee!
Went here for valentines day dinner and was very impressed. The atmosphere was very romantic and I couldn't have asked for better service. Food was phenomenal and I will definitely be coming back here for another date night. Thanks!
Four course Valentine dinner for two from a limited menu, but order was prepared incorrectly (the wrong meal choice prepared despite the waitress having recorded it correctly), so one meal was brought out without the other. I insisted that my husband enjoy his while I wait, so it would not go cold, but it took quite a while longer than expected for my correct meal to be served. Typically, I wouldn’t comment on this, as accidents happen, but it was Valentine’s Day and it would have been nice to have enjoyed dinner together. We also have three young children at home, so working on limited dinner date time, and it caused us to have to rush the rest of the meal and have our desserts prepared to-go so that we could make it home on time.
