    The French onion soup is absolutely the best I’ve ever tasted. So very rich a d perfectly seasoned. The three of us enjoyed each of our entrees and the fabulous desserts as well. We’re planning to come back more frequently!

    A true neighborhood gem!! Finally made it back to Blades after few months of traveling and life getting in the way. We had yet another great experience as always. The staff from the beautiful owner to the talented chef to our outstanding bartender/server was welcoming, accommodating, and went above and beyond to create a wonderful night out! We have some strict food restrictions and they went out of their way to give us an outstanding meal. Pasta, vegetables, stir fry - awesome. Can't wait to come back soon!

    Food was delicious however, sorry to say, the bowl for the Roma Pasta Vegetarian was cold and the pasta was cold in a minute as a result.

    We absolutely love this Bistro and eat here often. We’ve supported this restaurant for a good 12 years and will continue too. Love the owners, very kind and the food is so, so good!!! Hope you enjoy it to!

    Started with the amazing French onion soup. The seared Ahi was delicious as was the Fish and Chips. Blades never disappoints. The staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

    Local dinners enjoy well made fresh food with a New Mexico flare at reasonable prices. We ate on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was busy but not packed. Service was friendly and well paced. It’s a drive off the beaten path but worth the quality food, at moderate prices.

    Our date nite at Blades Bistro was a highly anticipated event. We asked for out door seating and it was granted. The sun had just set when we were seated. The owner came to greet us right aways & introduced us to our waiter for the evening. The specials sounded yummy as well as the fall menu. We ordered the catch of the day which was cold water cod. It was so tasty & moist. The miso style glaze was perfecto! My beet salad with goat cheese and balsamic was just right as were the coconut shrimp. The dessert was top notch, a berries & crème delectable dish with some cake on the bottom as well as the trio of ice cream! The pumpkin ice cream was so rich & creamy. I hope everyone in the area can have a great experience at Blades Bistro just as we did! If you don’t live right in the area, it’s worth the drive!

    The food was spectacular, the best Fruitta de Mer our companion had ever tasted and it is his favorite dish. The lamb shank was superb, as always, and the desserts well worth leaving room to enjoy. The server was friendly and prompt, we never waited for anything we needed. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

    The food was outstanding! Oysters, lamb shank and cassoulet--yum. Waitress was nice but only checked once after meal had been served. So not terrible but not outstanding. Chef Kevin always takes the time to come out and great diners.

    Wonderful food. Beautiful drive and the service was great! When we got there and we’re offered thier wine menu. We explained that we don’t drink and the bartender brought us a lovely mock tail he created. Will definitely go back!

    This was our first visit to Blades Bistro and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We were looking for a nice restaurant that had some menu items that aren’t what we normally find in area restaurants. I had the seafood special, Scallops and Wild Mushroom risotto and it was delicious. My husband had the Pasta Roma, and also thought it was great. Prices seemed very reasonable, the ambience is very nice and relaxing. Service was very good, but not at all intrusive. We will definitely come back..

    We just moved to Placitas so we wanted to try Blades. We were extremely satisfied. The staff and service was very good. The dishes were tasty. We ordered the caprese with tomato to start. The horseradish crusted strip was very good, which our server recommended. Strawberry shortcake for dessert was light and flavorful. We will be going back!

    My sole entree was not what I expected and I did not eat it. My husband's chicken was OK but the quality did not WOW us. My starter of peach, basil, and mozzarella was excellent; however my husband's artichoke shrimp starter was very difficult to eat. Overall, not as good as we had remembered. The ambiance and service were excellent.

    We just moved here from the Portland, Oregon area where the food is varied and outstanding, and up to now, our experience with food in New Mexico has been underwhelming. Blades is a gem! We were delighted with everything about this charming little Bistro. Impeccable service, cozy atmosphere and, most importantly, outstanding fresh food. We overheard a couple at the next table say they ate here at least once or twice a week! We can certainly understand why! We will definitely be back!

    The food was awesome. I had the special which was halibut.. whole plate was yummy. I like good wine and the list is interesting and well$$. Every one else enjoyed the meal. My only complaint is the nose level slightly hard to hear with a table of four. Turn down music or give more padding on walls.

    So many delicious choices. I loved the cold potato leek soup, truffle fries, and calf livers and onions. Everything was so flavorful. The waitress was very attentive.
