Blanco Cantina is the ultimate central spot for socializing and watching the game - we are always down to fiesta, whether you grab a quick bite or stay all night.
Our tequila & spirits collection is off the hook, with over 75 hand-selected choices.
We believe nachos should be as individual as you are, so build your own!
We love brunch (ahem, day drinking) so join us for "Hangover Brunch", every weekend & holiday from 11am - 3pm.
We have classic margaritas on the rocks, slushy concoctions, and a fun selection of feature cocktails & drinks.
Last but not least, save some room for our "Big-Ass Burritos" available in two sizes, and we won't judge if you have to use a knife & fork...
We waited probably 40 minutes for our food even though the restaurant was basically empty.
The chips and salsa we ordered : the salsa bowls came half fulled and mostly watery/juice as if it was from the bottom of the salsa container.
The meal was great but having to wait so long was annoying since other people seemed to get their food quicker than ours.
We also were celebrating a big celebration (which I noted in my reservation beforehand) and there was no mention of it, or any sort of celebration service provided etc.
Although the food was great when it came, the whole experience was subpar for what we were celebrating and paying for.
Loved the atmosphere and the food and drinks were amazing. Despite it being quite busy the service was excellent!
It was a great place for a meal before a concert. It got busier and louder while we were there, which is expected as it’s quite close quarters in the restaurant. The food and drinks were excellent. The service was slower than we expected, given the restaurant was well staffed for a Friday evening. Overall, definitely a restaurant I will go back to.
Great food and awesome atmosphere. Good for any occasion
The staff was amazing. The guacamole made at the table was delish.
Blanco was very good. The service was quick and friendly. The drink and food specials for happy hour are pretty quite. The food tasted good. The margaritas were really good and they had some unique flavours such as jalepeno cilantro and chilli pineapple. Would definitely go back. Is a bar but has more of a restaurant vibe.
Pretty great! Glad we got a reservation and they even put us on the patio as requested! Great service, great food, decent prices! (Especially on taco tuesdays!)
Service by our waiter Cian was top notch. Even though it was very busy as was he, he managed to take great care of us and checked on us to ensure we were good throughout the supper. The drinks and food were very good and great value at happy hour. Very vibrant place.
I’ve been here a few times, and this visit totally disappointed. The service was slowwwww, and that left us with a sour taste in our mouth. Sigh. I’d still go back though. Amazing margaritas!
Took over half an hour to get our drinks nachos were soggy
Food was ok, but extras (ie tiny portion of shredded marble cheese for $3 and Pico de Gallo for $0.50) is nickle and dimey (roll it into the price we'd never know). Margarita was listed as a 3 oz drink and there is zero possibility as it we couldn't even taste a drop of tequila. If it had, we'd have ordered another, but instead we left and went elsewhere for a beverage.
Service is sub par at best. Our waiter was great until he delivered our food but then we didn’t see him again at our table until it was time for the bill. We ordered tacos for dinner and they didn’t bring us napkins or utensils. He also never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks and never even collected our empty glasses from the table.
We were in Calgary for the weekend and decided to try something new. We enjoyed the excellent Mexican cuisine and had a great time there. We booked a table and when we got there at 630pm it was still a pretty empty. However, by 730 it was full and jumping. Make a reso if you’re going to be there after 7pm or so.
Good service and a nice patio if you can get on it. Food was way overpriced and not good at all. Had the diablo tacos. Corn tortillas with dry, over unseasoned shrimp and some gloop on top. Just bad.
The food and experience was perfect. A great place to hang out.
Awesome food! Love the size of tacos! Love the service. Our servers were the best! I'm in love with their guacamole and with the way they serve it!
The server was knowledgeable of the menu and the tequila.
Service was fast and the pulled pork nachos were awesome.
We will be back......
Great happy hour specials.
Went for Taco Tuesday, tacos were good, service was not great. Our waiter was awesome until we got our food and then we never saw him again. No one came to check to see if the food was good, we weren’t given cutlery or napkins to eat the tacos with, and I was never asked if I wanted another drink after I finished my first one. Overall cool vibe but I don’t know if I’d recommend.
Exceptional food and service. Our server was awesome!
Nice building and atmosphere. Servers were having a lot of fun and making lots of jokes. Little bit annoying.
Foot wasn’t great at all, disappointing compared to other good Mexican places in the area. Tacos were basic and the shrimp ones weren’t good at all.
Wouldn’t go back.
Waiter charged me full price for a cocktail I ordered at 8:50 pm when half price drinks started at 9. He told us he’d come back at 9’so I assumed when he did come back and I ordered that it was 9. Low and behold I paid $19 for my drink. When I asked to have this corrected he said he can’t cause it was before 9. Shady way to act and I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.
Amazing food, drink and service. Can’t wait to get back!
Frozen margaritas were amazing, avacodo fries were unreal! And if you go without doing the build your own nachos, best thing ever!!!
Great service, good food.
Great drink selection and excellent service. Very loud but a nice venue for a night out.
Great coconut margarita! Went on taco Tuesday. Good value at half off!
Love this place! Food is always fresh, drinks are delicious and staff is wonderful.
The table side guac was amazing!! I had 3 different kinds of tacos and my friend had a burrito. Both we delicious! Fun atmosphere but a bit on the nosier side.
Food was amazing but service was definitely lacking at some points. Wasn’t checked up on as you should be and didn’t feel very comfortable dining here in all honesty. If the food wasn’t amazing I wouldn’t be back. Some people have off days so we’ll be back but hopefully that was just a one off type of night.
Love me some Blanco Cantina.
Feed me all the tacos.
If you like eating Mexican, this is a good place. Quantities are good. However, it looks commercial, it's not a sophisticated place, it's very American.
Visiting Blanco was a fine experience. The food itself was good, the drinks were well made and service was fast. Having said that the decor didn't blow me away, the server was on the unfriendly / unhelpful side and value wise the meal ended up being on the expensive side.
The meals were good for some, not as good for others. The mahi mahi fish was overcooked and the steak taco was salty. Disappointed in the nachos as they skimped on the toppings. Price was good as it was happy hour. Service was good. Casamigos was great!
Nachos, tacos and cocktails were delicious, service was terrible.
We've been to Blanco twice and like it. The food is delicious, the drinks are unique. The biggest downfall is how busy it is - It's hard to catch our server if anything is needed, and the wait for food is bordering on lengthy.
The food is expensive for what it is. The drinks are expensive as well but are very good. I would recommend going here for a few drinks but only during happy hour. The server was not talkative and was clearly annoyed when we weren’t ready to place our drink order yet. Overall, expensive and over rated.
We found our experience at Blanco Cantina to be very average. The service was great but the food mediocre. It was also exceptionally loud and impossible to have a conversation at our table without yelling.
Best nachos in yyc
The tacos are so great! I loved the pork ones specifically and my husband enjoyed both the pork and fish ones most. I do have to say that I prefer the margarita selection at the sister restaurant Anejo, and I prefer their Tres Leches as well. I found your Tres Leches to be too sweet for my tastes. Great service!
