When I first heard about and started looking for more information about the restaurant, I was made aware that depending on who is cooking, my experience may vary. However, the food that they provided there was great and very filling. I ordered a 3-course meal, poached halibut with hummus and vegetable was not too heavy, but I wished there was a bit more acidity in the dish, but maybe with some wine, it would've been fine. My entree was duck breast with spring veg risotto, which I paired with white wine. The meat was cooked lovely, the risotto was great and spring vegetables gave made the meal feel lighter. Desert wasn't too sweet but it had just the right amount of sweetness for me to end with. Overall it was a great experience, albeit it could sound a bit loud with the kitchen sound, but I don't think that is a negative for me.

We always enjoy Bloom! The atmosphere is contemporary and stylish, and you feel very well attended to and cared for in your time there. They always have creative menu options, many vegetarian, and the food is always prepared and served with excellence.

Pleasant dining room. Excellent service. Food was well presented but the sauce and extras on the chicken were overpowering and unpleasant. Chicken was good and ample, but no green vegetable served with it. Dessert was delicious, although the chocolate “muffin” had such a hard exterior that we had to use knives to break it up. A little more ice cream would have been appreciated.

I thought it was meant to be teaching the students hospitality skills. Service was severely lacking and we observed no one providing guidance to help them. We have been there in the past and like to support the students and we are very tolerant, but this time there seemed to be little oversight. Food came out lukewarm and was not very good. They emphasize that they would like our feedback in a survey but nothing was provided to let us know how to provide that.

Food improved since Dec. but still too much salt. Excellent appetizer…cheese dip…perhaps too much. Good chicken compared to the pork chop last time. Dessert good . Well presented. In fact, beautifully presented. Excellent server. Do not know his name but wish I did. In this day and age I am not allowed to say his race. Hope you can figure out who it was. Thank you to him .. well done.

Food was excellent, however from an aesthetic standpoint main course could have had more colour with a 3rd item added - colourful vegetable along with the turnip (carbohydrate) and salmon (protein). Slow to brings drinks and bread to table. Overall a very good experience.

Bloom provided fine dining at a reasonable price with very attentive service, and beautifully crafted food that was delicious. We'll certainly go back. Creativity is missing in so many restaurants these days but was on display in abundance at Bloom. Dishes were unique, beautifully presented and offered wonderful unique tastes that surprised with every bite. It's a dining experience like none you'll find anywhere else in the region in my view. This is a culinary and hospitality training facility within Conestoga College. Some things weren't perfect but what was perfect was the way the students and staff made sure to correct problems promptly and pleasantly. Bloom is a real delight!

It was a wonderful dining experience. We were mainly served by the instructor and he was excellent. He was serving as a role model to the students who were watching him. The salmon was not overdone as in many restaurants which was great but it lacked flavour and there was not enough sauce. Everything else was delicious.

What a great place to enjoy a fine dinner! The atmosphere is contemporary but also warm, the staff were all very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed everything we ordered, the menu had several Indian cuisine options, the salmon was done to perfection, and the cauliflower steak was a first for us, and really delicious. You cannot do better in KW than this for an excellent meal experience at a very competitive price. We will definitely go again!

The fritter overcooked. Pork chop pure salt. Broccoli was untouched. Bloom is not what it use to be. Wine was overpriced. Will return if and when menu changes. Bathrooms are far away from eating area.

The food was really good. Very hard to get a reservation, but the whole time we were there only 2 tables had customers, including ours. You have to keep in mind that it’s a teaching restaurant and the students working there are learning and gaining experience. We will return

I love this place. Have been there a few times and am never disappointed. The culinary arts students put such care into the food preparation and presentation. The servers are very attentive - they do have lots to learn but they try very hard to make the guest experience an enjoyable one. One note - go hungry as the portions are not small. Make sure to include dessert!

The menu slelction and the food was amazing. Great value for the amount of food that we had. Only 3 tables being served the evening we were there so the service was top notch. Would highly recommend and have made our next reservation already.

The Filipina student was so happy to know three of us in the party were Filipinos. The servers were diffident, trying so hard to please. Two in our group came up from Burlington. The food was very good they said- well worth the drive to Waterloo!

First trip to Bloom. Nice quiet relaxing atmosphere. The waiter was timid but very attentive. The food was exceptional. Best meal out in a very long time. i will definitely return again. I feel tips should go to the students that cooked and served. They earned it,not to a college scholarship fund.

We enjoyed Bloom. We were the first diners on the first day of opening, so we were not expecting it to be perfect. My starter was excellent, the entree was very good although the gravy was a little salty. My companion and I shared desert and it also was excellent. The servers tried very hard and I think were nervous. At times they were oversolicitous but hen forgot to take bread plates away and provide knives for the entree, until reminded. They were pleasant and polite. I feel the meal was overpriced. Bloom, after all is not on a class with Trios or Sole, but the prices are. More in the 20's range would make me go more often.

This is the second visit here. First lunch then this time dinner. The ever attentive professor was very interesting. The students were polite, well dressed, and clear with explanations when required. We felt that our server required returns to 'the source' to ensure she had the correct explanation of one/two of the menu items. Was she fully briefed? If briefed, had she fully understood the description? Were our questions hard? This is a wonderful location. Exceptionally clean. The food choices are varied for a wide selection. The preparation and display were high quality and appealing to the eye. I question the wine selection. Considering the high quality and highly diversified possibilities available through VQA, having California wines do not match. Economy is one thing, taste, quality and local Canadian should be the mark. We will return
