    It was tasty, but the fish for fish and chips and crab dip were not locally sourced. It was good, but nothing special. The atmosphere was beautiful.

    The nice thing about this restaurant is the ambiance/view, located overlooking the harbour at Steveston. Everything else is just mediocre. Food is tasty enough but really nothing special. Portions are very scant. Salade niçoise was not at all like the authentic one. Not good value for the money.

    Loved the chicken wings today! The server was so friendly and helpful with suggestions. Others at the table enjoyed the fish and chips and flatbread! Everyone enjoyed their meal thoroughly

    The waitress made a mess of our order and blamed us, then poured water into the chowder when she missed the glass, not a big loss as it was sticky and grey. The salmon was very dry and remained on the plate. The only edible thing was the salad. We were not charged for the drink that was returned because it was not what was ordered and the chowder. Our worst dining experience in Canada!

    As soon as you walk in, all the staff (including the kitchen) as sitting on their phone by the bar- not impressive. We were the only table in the back besides a large family. They were very noisy and server was not very attentive to us; waited a while for water refills, to order and for the mid meal check in. Was half way done my meal before I could see anyone to ask for a spoon to go with my linguine. - why was a spoon not provided with a pasta dish? Overall, was very disappointed with our experience; views were nice but that’s about it. Food was mediocre at best.

    This spot is perfect for hanging out with friends. The view is absolutely breathtaking. While the food is good, it's not mind-blowingly unforgettable. But honestly, the view alone makes it worth it! We had a blast! 🌆🍔👍

    Unfortunately, the quality of the food is not what it used to be. While they have introduced a number of new menu options, that seems great, the majority of their dishes are severely under-seasoned.

    We brought family from out of town and we had the perfect evening on the deck with a gorgeous sunset. Our meals were really tasting . House salmon ceasar salad great made with butter lettuce so perfect with salmon. Shrimp tacos very generous portion 3 tacos lots of prawns. Tuna tatami very good the tuna was excellent and all was fresh. Crab dip full of crab excellent to share. Our drinks were yummy too. Thanks to all the staff.

    We celebrated our anniversary there. The service was great and food for the most part was delicious. The restaurant was right by the water and we had a great time, except two things, noisy children and mussels we ordered were kinda small for the price we paid. However, the view was spectacular and we'd definitely go back there again.

    The mussels were overcooked, and the ahi tuna was overcooked as well. We ordered a prime rib to share and the server missed to bring us an extra plate and no steak knife. It is minor, but it should be improved.

    Food was overall good. But steak quite fatty. The popcorn sauce did not taste like peppercorn and the potatoes were suppose to be truffle parmesan mash potato but it certainly did not have the taste of truffle parmesan. Was disappointing. Had to ask for a steak knife as I got a butter knife and no salt or pepper on table. 🙃

    I’ve been to this restaurant a few times, and they never disappoint. The quality of the food is very good, the seafood has that perfect ‘ocean flavor’, the staff are prompt and friendly. All around it’s just a good time and good value.  if you’ve considered going but weren’t sure, I’d say give it a try - you won’t be disappointed.

    Hi, overall we had a great time. It was my wife's birthday and I had even mentioned it when I made the reservation on line but there was no mention or congratulations of her birthday. The waitress at the end found out is was her birthday because we told her and she wished my wife a happy birthday. The waitress still got a good tip but it would have been nice for a little extra for my wife. I think a lot of restaurants are lacking the extra special service for celebrations people are having at there establishments.

    Exceptional service food and location! Our server Jayna was a delight. We chose the seafood chowder, cioppino, mussels and crab dip to share. The location is perfect not only for a delicious meal but to enjoy the waterfront view from the open patio Seating! We will be back!

    I always enjoy a meal at the Blue Canoe and this time took my niece from the UK also. As she is milk intolerant this can sometimes cause problems but not at the Blue Canoe. The waitress was particularly thoughtful and offered some suggestions for her and also asked the chef about certain meals that she fancied to eat. We were both happy both with the food and service.     Great fish & chips! Service was great. Our waitress allowed us to get a good visit in without disrupting us. Really appreciated that! It’s a shame the restaurant doesn’t take better advantage of their beautiful view. We were there just after opening , the restaurant was pretty much empty. We asked for a table with a view - indicating looking out to the channel. The hostess sat us where we could see the peer. It was fine but could have been so much better.

    I have always enjoyed my meals here, but this time I tried your barrata caprese salad and it was not great. Very little seasoning, small little tomatoes. No fresh basil, needed some olive oil , balsamic vinegar or reduction. Barrata was ok but not great. I would not order it again. It should have big slices of juicy Tomatoe or way more cherry tomatoes. It was not cheap and was a disappointment.
