Blue Water Cafe Ratings and Reviews
This place was outstanding! By far one of the best meals I have ever had. The service was amazing, the food was incredible. Had the Sashimi platter and Seafood tower. The presentation was fantastic and the food was like butter!
As for the service, every one from the bartender, the server and the hostess were perfect. And to top it off the ‘maitre d’ ran out in the slushy rain at 11pm to hail us a cab! This restaurant is simply perfect!!!
Always a good meal
food was very good
Classic Vancouver seafood. The Unsung Heroes menu in February is one of the best dining experiences in the city. Extremely good wine selections and the cocktails are some of the best in the city.
Great experience. Just be careful if you order a martini. Twice the price for martini 2 oz as advertised on the menu. Bit of a surprise to find a $34 drink charge
What an amazing dinning experience, top notch everything!
Always a great time there staff is top notch and so is the food
The restaurant was a "must experience" on our list of dining options during our visit to Vancouver and we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. I look forward to dining at this restaurant again.
Service was excellent with great recommendations for wine pairings from the wait staff. Chefs special “unsung heroes” were unique and provided great unexpected tastes.
Sea food, service, kichten/employees organization were perfect and even washrooms were of great quality (worth the mention)! Not too overpriced for the excellent quality of food. I would totally recommend this place, for a relaxed ambiance or a well dressed occasion, and would surely come back! Loved it!
Blue Water was fantastic last night!!
The ‘unsung hero’s menu’ was excellent!!
We will be going back in February to try some more dishes.
The hostess staff were super helpful.
Adam and Luke, at the bar ..... the best.
I love the way management and staff take special care of everyone!
Excellent server and the food was top notch. Favorite as always was the oysters.
Lovely restaurant with outstanding food and excellent service. Everything we tried was delicious. Great bar. Highly recommend.
This was the first time my wife and I have attended this restaurant. We were impressed by the friendly service, from the hostesses to the servers. Being a seafood restaurant, we were expecting a chowder type soup, but happily accepted the delicious carrot soup. There was good selection of beers. Having the birthday greeting on my dessert dish was greatly appreciated. We will happily return in the future.
Great food and great service. It was a excellent way to end a great stay in Vancouver and Canada.
We were particularly taken with the large range of oysters and with help from the knowledgeable wait staff found a couple that we will definitely have again.
Blue Water was one of our bucket list restaurants and we jumped at the chance to go there for dinner for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches the restaurant made to help make our celebration even more special. We cant wait to go back.
This was probably one of the best experiences I have had. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was above and beyond. The atmosphere was great. There is nothing bad I can say. If I lived I. Vancouver I would go here as often as I could. It is worth the price. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough!!!
My boyfriend and I chose Blue Water for a date night as we were both wanting seafood and to try somewhere new. Blue Water is a very beautiful restaurant, and the ambience definitely makes you feel fancy. We shared a bottle of wine, 12 oysters, sashimi platter, side of pomme frites, sturgeon entree and lingcod entree. We let the chef choose the oyster, and they were absolutely delicious. Each one had their own unique taste and characteristics. The sashimi platter was very good, but not the best sashimi I have had. The pomme frites were DELICIOUS, best fries we've ever had. The sturgeon and lingcod were both cooked perfectly and moist. The entire night was amazing, and we ended up spotting Neil Patrick Harris by the sushi bar! This place is expensive but worth the experience. Can't wait to go again.
Sooo delicious! We would love to eat here more often if we were able to! The seafood tasting for two was the highlight - the tuna tartare was so good we ordered another!
Lovely dining and opera evening.
Great food and service = a perfect dining experience! We are already talking about coming back. Our server Brent was attentive, knowledgeable and enhanced our dinner experience.
Everything was up to what I expected
we went with another couple for our wedding anniversary, absolutely loved it, the service and food was outstanding, would highly recommend
Most of the food was outstanding, but ridiculously pricey. The spinach dish was no more than 25 leaves of spinach lightly steamed for over $10....very disappointing. I certainly expected more. However, the sablefish was beyond superb. Excellent service. Décor was very noisy...some soft music would lower the level of conversation. This restaurant needs to get the respect it deserves and blaring music just makes it necessary to speak louder.
Blue water cafe is the best. The food the drinks the restaurant service are all the best.
My only complaint is the valet service. The charge is $13 to park; I had to find the valet in the restaurant after waiting outside in the rain, my car was actually parked just across the street, I gave him a 20 dollar bill, he took it and awkwardly stood there.....I didn't walk away, then finally he said "oh do you want change?"
What a joke, I may have tipped 7 dollars for great service, but come on! I was there the evening of the 24th of January.
Excellent service! Absolutely delicious food. The best sablefish I have ever had.
Great staff, food and surroundings.
Frequent sports celebrities dinning as well
Food was outstanding and the service was wonderful. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make it feel special.
Took some great friends of ours from Calgary to Blue Water Cafe. We had been numerous times over many years, while they had never been. They, like us, love Blue Water Cafe!! The food and service and ambiance, perfect! Can't say enough!
Food and service was amazing as always! Blue water is always one of my top picks for a special occasion.
First time in Vancouver / Canada, really tasty food and fantastic service. Miso Sablefish with broth, yum! A really big vine selection and expert advice to select 👍
We went there for a birthday celebration with my husband. Was a lovely evening - great food and service.
Always Awesome the wait person was amazing and very knowledgeable
Delightful in every way. Excellent creative cuisine in a lively atmosphere. Friendly & attentive service made it all quite perfect.
Delicious and fresh seafood. Inventivr and flavourful. Knowledgeable and helpful waitress.
Huge wine list.
Went there for our special occasion, first time dining at Blue Water Cafe. The hostess was very welcoming and guided us to our table promptly. The waitress that helped us was incredibly helpful (even though she probably had injury on her wrist seeing her with supporters, but she still provided top notch service! ) and introduced us to the special of the day and various great options on the menu. We had the seafood tower, nigiri platter, and uni nigiri; all of the seafood tasted so fresh, my girlfriend said she hasn't tasted seafood so fresh!
Will recommend coming here, also recommend making reservations beforehand since it was very busy even on a Tuesday night. Will definitely be coming back again!
Voyage de vacance avec ma famille
A wonderful experience, great service, fantastic wine list, and the freshest Sashimi/sushi in Vancouver .
Two people in our group of four were
celebrating birthdays. This was know by the
server. He did not even put a candle in the desert I paid for.
