Good ambiance food was fair.
Not a great meal , had to send back twice ,was not great
Considering it's the pandemic it was a great night out. Wife and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. I wrote that as a note in our open table reservation, but there was nothing mentioned during our dinner. No dessert on the house, no happy anniversary or congratulations. Normally at most restaurants I've been to there is a dessert thrown in or a special congratulations or happy fill in the blank from staff because they've read it in the reservation note. What's the point of writing anything if there's no acknowledgment of it. Outside of that the food was good and it was pretty quiet given the restrictions for covid 19. Great location. They were out of the steak I ordered but the server didn't know that until after she left with our orders and came back to let us know they were out. Bread is brought to the table on request only now. But we weren't told that until we asked where the bread was. You figure that would be something that should be mentioned by the server.
I called prior to making resos and was told there was happy hour on Canada Day. I got there and the waitress said it wasn’t on today. Which was the only reason my fiancé and I went. It was actually our 7 year anniversary too. We got up and left. Very bad service to. No sympathy, nothing. Won’t be returning.
Although in the end the food was good it took a few attempts to get it all right
Nice setting with views across the water. Service was good with friendly staff.Food was well presented and entrees were hot. Dessert was given to a member of our party who was celebrating a birthday which was a nice touch.
Great spot. Dinner and service were great. Setting incredible
Poke Bowl is awesome, calamari was just okay.
Small portions with little taste and big price.
Will not return.
A Sunday Brunch with friends; our first restaurant meal since the beginning of the pandemic. Excellent social distancing! Price of wine has jumped up. Most enjoyable experience.
I made a reservation ahead of time, arrived and checked in 20min early. Our table was not ready so we walked around, came back and waited outside. Numerous small party reservations announcing the same time as our dinner reservation, all arrived one after another and were let in without waiting. After the 3rd of 4th couple went inside without the host asking them wait. I reminded and asked the host if our table was ready yet because we were still standing and waiting outside. It was poorly organized.
Server and food were great. Salmon cooked well. Way better than New Westminster location.
We lucked out a to a patio seat and it didn't start sprinkling until the end of our visit. Parking is a pain on a weekend at Rocky point. Plan to walk a few blocks. It is a little pricey. Service was great
Great experience again! Thanks would recommend. Enjoyed!
Kitchen forgot the prawn and scallop skewer on the over priced Westcoast Grill. 4 prawns, a scallop and a piece of salmon, under cooked wild rice and a few veggies for $38.99 is ridiculous. It was ok, nothing special, salmon was cooked perfect, won't order it again. Server was quick with water but there was no real apology when we let him know the skewer was missing and he went back to get it. No consideration given as well. No happy hour after 9 is disappointing. We kayak every Thursday and are always looking for a place with happy hour after. Won't be back anytime soon.
We were disappointed with the decor......tired upholstery, unattractive bare tables...no flowers, no candle....looked like a cheap place!
The food was good, steak cooked to perfection.
Would have liked to see more fish options....no salmon on the menu!
Service was poor....we had to ask for everything, water, salt. No bread was offered.
We have been many times to this location but very disappointed this time. Food was not cheap....will look for another restaurant next time
We had to wait a bit I had made a reservation but they got us in pretty quick food was amazing the service was amazing really enjoyed our experience have not been there a long time
We booked a patio table a day in advance for 3 online as my 86 year old mom was going on her first outing in months so we booked an outdoor table to be in an open air setting. We arrived on time for our 4:30 reservation, we let the hostess know we had a 4:30 reservation for a patio table and we were told it would be a 20 minute wait!
We will definitely be coming again. Truly a fine dining experience.
My son order the kids meal and the fish was not so fresh.
Very small portions, food was bland(seafood chowder and seafood pasta). Pretty pricey for what we received. I don’t mind higher prices but it would be nice not to leave hungry.
Mango mojito was delish.
The view was amazing!!!!!
Waitress was good.
Birthday dessert was a nice touch and delish(cream brûlée)
I would go again but just for drinks.
The reception at the door was professional , the table by the window was a nice touch , the service from Brianne was excellent and as always the food was great .
This is the first complaint I have ever made. Rice and veggies were undercooked...food tasted bland. bothers me when I paid so much.
Everything else was fabulous.
Covid has management to take the warmth out of a restaurant. This is not the restaurants fault . No linen, our server had on a regular cheap blue mask while others had on the black ones. She was't particularly warm . Taking out the entire center row for social distancing and every other table on wither side made everything kind of sparce. I think if you thought it through you could have done it more effectively.
Even with a limited menu, at this time, the choices had plenty of variety. The seafood is always fresh and for us that don't have fish a lot, the "turf" and greens are great. The large windows and patio seats have a beautiful vista of the Burrard Inlet. Rain or shine it's a perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal and beverage.
We enjoyed the food and the service
Always a good time there. Our server was amazing . Glad we made a reso as people who were showing up were facing an hour or more wait
Food was 1/3 less than what was before... Calamari for $17 barely could feed 1 person nevermind sharing for 2. Fish and chips were small pcs, I remember before covid, I could barely Finish it, this time... I could still eat... Even the fries were significantly smaller portioned. Overall, first time out since covid and I was pretty disappointed.
I was Overpriced for the quality of food you get .
Service and food were good. Diners well spaced and staff well versed on protocol for social distancing.
Great food good distancing , excellent communication
Food was great but menu limited due to COVID unfortunately. My favourite dishes were not available 😞
We had a lovely time and the food was excellent. The service was wonderful and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Great service, live the view. Found the menu limited.
Menu is reduced with less options. All the favourite seafood dishes were gone. Food was not good.
First time back, it turned out to be a very pleasant experience despite the extra COVID 19 precautions
Obviously in the times we are experiencing now - it was nice to be able to dine out. The Boathouse was very good about physical distancing of the tables. All serving staff had masks and gloves on. The food was very good and that was probably the highlight of the evening.
Excellent service with great food. I feel very comfortable eating here because every table next to us in every direction is 'reserved for social distancing'.
The staff were warm and accomodating. The ambiance will take a while to get used to as we get used to social distance issues.
We were both disapointed with the food. My pasta was underdone and the salmon was very bland and was not sockeye as the server said it was. The calamari and the dessert were good.
