Bonfire Restaurant & Bar
The restaurant offers an upscale casual dining menu that features "Cuisine of the Okanagan Valley Sun".
Incredible Okanagan Lake front Dining inspired by our daily harvest of fresh produce from our 2 acre culinary garden, the Bonfire is the definition of fresh dining.
The restaurant is complimented by a 35 seat lounge and a 50 seat patio overlooking the shores of Lake Okanagan.
Great food, friendly attentive service & exceptional views are all waiting for you at The Bonfire!
I was disappointed with my usual fare of the Classic Eggs Benedict. The serving was smaller than before - the English muffin was much smaller in size, and the piece of back bacon, which it didn't look like - more like a piece of sliced ham - which was too thin. Eggs were great and hollandaise sauce way too scrimpy. In the past hash browns were served, but this time small potato wedges were used instead along with tomato sauce - ugh! . If the restaurant is going to serve smaller portion then don't raise the price. My friends did enjoy the overall experience though, but not too sure if we want to come back.
The noise level can greatly be diminished by carpeting the area.
Wonderful view of the lake and delicious appetizers. We had the tuna poke and calamari. Nice place for a family dinner.
Oh my goodness!!!! seriously the best experience ever! The set the table all romantically for our anniversary, they had complimentary champagne, and they gave us a flower centrepiece to take home! the staff was just AMAZING!! I can not say it enough this place was amazing, the food was incredible, and the macaroons !!!!!!!! ok must try this place
I ordered the club house sandwich and it was terrible, my husband had the fish and chips which was really good but for the price the 2 small pieces of fish which was more like fish sticks was really over priced as well. Not really good value but a beautiful setting.
Very convenient and a beautiful location, but the space itself is right next to the resort pool.
Staff was very slow and didn’t seem to know what was going on at all. Food was fine - nothing spectacular.
After waiting over 45 minutes for our food after we ordered, there were still no signs of food arriving. The restaurant was only about 15% full on a Thursday night. The server didn’t even come to check in with us to tell us the food was coming soon. Nothing! We finally decided to leave because the kids were starving!
There's room for improvement on the food at dinner.
- I ordered a half rack of ribs and received three ribs. That's not a half rack by any standard.
- I didn't like the beans that were served with this plate.
-'Naked' calamari appetizer was served breaded
- The roasted onion dip was great
Breakfast was very good.
Food average. Service non existent.great location overlooking the okanagan lake.
Wish we had read the reviews before spending our anniversary dinner here. Service was great but the food wasn’t up to standard for what we paid.
Wonderful views and friendly staff. Just came for a glass of wine but would like to have stayed for dinner
Food was good! Lettuce wraps were definitely over salted but overall good food!
A birthday lunch failure. The waitress brought us the wrong lunch item. When I told her we ordered a different item she said "oh this is the 2nd time I have made this mistake" but its better you will enjoy it!! We did not enjoy it. Poor attention to details and the quality of food not worth the cost.
Ambiance cannot be beat. A $30 buffet should have a few more options. The food that was there was great.
Amazing but not a wide verity of things for kids
First time we have had lunch at Bonfire and the four of us enjoyed the food (and wine), the location and service. Great location on a summer day to dine on the patio.
Menu was not great and food could be much better. Service was friendly. Very expensive for what I got
Expensive for simple dishes
Menu is very small, and should be expanded
I didn't like the tip options on the debit machine starting at 18% (makes you feel obligated)
Our waitress was very good, friendly and efficient
I think there are better choices for quality resteraunts
It was a very nice restaurant and the waitress was very attentive. it was early and so it was very quiet. The food was delicious and they gave us a dessert on the house as a bday gift.
Small party of us went for a birthday lunch on Friday afternoon. Was very quiet. Our waitress was amazing and the food was fabulous. They went above and beyond to make the birthday girl feel special.
No music or ambience, food average for price and not enough servers. This is really hit and miss this place, seem to have gone downhill.
Sunday night prime rib dinner was so good. Perfectly prepared..meat was like cutting butter. Creme brûlée and chocolate mousse for dessert. Excellent meal.
Hadn't been here for a long time as wasn't impressed a few times. Had dinner with friends last night and had the best food I have ever had at the Bonfire. Service was also much better than previous visits. Things are definitely looking up.
Limited menu, no ambience, overpriced. Dirty seats. Wouldn't go again.
We will never be back again. Reservation was made and I made a phone call and left a message to let the restaurant know that we had additional people coming. When we arrived the hostess/waitress was extremely rude and said the reservation was for 7 people. I explained I left a message and she said she didn’t get the message. She added to the table but was extremely rude and continued the rudeness with very bad service. We were all extremely uncomfortable. We were the only people in the entire restaurant. I probably should have spoken with a manager but we were already so uncomfortable.
We will never ever be back again. Ever!!
We went to the Bonfire for Christmas dinner, the food was outstanding! Would highly recommend this if you are looking for an alternative to cooking and cleaning for the holiday!
Christmas Day dinner was fabulous. Bread pudding was best I’ve ever had. Vegetables were amazing. Enjoyed everything. Only complaint......we ordered coffee before our meal and had no idea there was coffee at the buffet table, so we were charged for our coffee. This was our first time at this restaurant, so we’re not informed that we could get our own. Would have been nice to have been told.
Thoroughly enjoyed it...romantic, great food, excellent service.**
We enjoyed dinner with our friends.....after work Friday night.....had the fish and chips special and shared a bottle red wine. It was a lovely evening. I am always wanting to support our local restaurants and the Bonfire is a lovely place to visit. Our waitress was professional and courteous. I am telling all my friends to try this restaurant out.
We went on a Saturday evening and had the best meal of Lamb that I ever had. Sooooooo we went back the next Saturday evening and had the same. Great Food and service!
Very friendly and engaging staff. Prices are reasonable. Food was great.
Food quality quite good. Waitresses working very hard
Excellent dinner and atmosphere. Food is delicious and fresh and such a wonderful close to home kind of place that you can return to again and again. Loved the live entertainment too.
Was super. Food excellent. Will go again.
Kim was our server and she was absolutely lovely and friendly. Food was delicious and fast. Would come back again. :)
Went for our 24th anniversary and they treated us so well
Super disappointing - stay away. We checked into the Cove for a family vacation. We have 2 kids, aged 4 and 2. We decided to try Bonfire for lunch before we gave supper a go. Being a kid friendly resort we expected so much more. Restaurant was almost empty and it still took ages for service and food is way overpriced for what you get as it is very average. After slow service and marginal food they also charged us for a glass of wine and 2 entrees that we did not order. Total amateur hour at Bonfire.
We drove into town (25 mins) for all other meals and found awesome alternatives. Suggest you do same.
Ordered the double pork chop, a single tiny one showed up. Waitress said they have changed the menu. They didn’t change the price. It was inedible and I sent it back.
Definitely DO NOT recommend this restaurant! The food was beyond salty, the sever was very unattentive, the way the restaurant is described on their website is a complete lie because you get over charged for food that is not edible and the portions are just big enough for a toddler, which is probably why there were so many!
We enjoyed our experience at Bonfire and had great food. However, its good we were not in a rush, as service was quite slow and seemed disorganized.
