We went here on our trip for our honeymoon, the restaurant made it a very welcoming experience. They even gave us souvenir menus with “congratulations newly weds” on them. I got the filet mignon and she got the stuffed salmon. Both entrees were perfectly cooked and delicious. We showed up early to get parking across the street but when we left there was no spots. They were very accommodating of us arriving earlier than our reservation. Our waiter was excellent and very knowledgeable. I’ve already recommended all of my friends for when they come into Richmond.

Great service and atmoshere. Food was good but pricey. My wife and I went to Bookbinders to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was very attentive to us, and they sent us a glass of champaign for our celebration. Bookbinders is one of our go to places for fine dining.

One of the nicest dining experiences I have ever had and I am no stranger to fine dining. David, our waiter was outstanding….very knowledgeable of the menu, prompt, attentive but unobtrusive, well dressed. Also noticed and appreciated was fact that every staff I encountered spoke to me and were eager to provide any assistance I might need.

We had a wonderful meal. My Kona coffee encrusted steak was melt in your mouth tender and delicious. The tomato bisque soup with ginger was one of the best soups I've ever had. Outstanding meal!

It’s laughable that this place considers themselves “fine dining”. Why are crab cakes sitting in a bed of marinara and tartar sauce and why is grilled swordfish served in some bean soup topped with bbq sauce and bacon?? Also, their staff needs more training and not just given a dress shirt and tie. What makes a restaurant upscale isn’t simply their formal uniform, but their level of service and the attitude of the staff- which I’ve seen better at Red Lobster. The $280 I paid for dinner and tip was a complete waste of money and I left hungry after leaving most of what I ordered on the table. Would not recommend.

Very nice restaurant. It was our first time and it didn’t disappoint. The service was great. The food was amazing. A little pricey but overall not bad. Donna was our server she was friendly efficient and had a great since of humor

The whole event was awesome. The ambience, the staff was very accommodating, and the food was outstanding. We have never been disappointed or had a bad experience at The Bookbinder. We highly recommend this restaurant especially for special occasions.

An anniversary celebration dinner here was wonderful! We were treated to servings of complimentary champagne to begin the fun. Our table was a nice booth, giving us a view of the dining space. Our server was very professional and thoughtful, making sure everything went smoothly. The food was outstanding, definitely the best crab cake I have ever eaten! I highly recommend coming here when you want the best.

Always a solid experience, but the food was a little off this time. The oysters Rockefeller was bland and my ribeye didn’t have much taste. It was ok, but not $65 good. Snapper soup was great as usual. Everyone is off sometimes, so will try again for sure. Our service was very good.
