NOISY . Had to raise my voice.
Food is good esp. the seafood linguine which I had second time in 3 weeks.
The seafood tower is OK but not worth the money of $65 for two or $108 for four.
Service is good by mature professional servers not some transient persons unable to find other jobs.
Our waitstaff Jorge was very attentive and informative of the menu and recommendations. He went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. Food was amazing with energetic bar/lounge/restaurant feel.
Congrats on the Van Mag Award!!! Well deserved.
Really good location in downtown Vancouver. Came here to celebrate Thanksgiving and was thoroughly impressed.
We had phenomenal service and beautiful food ! In a city full of great options this is among the best
Excellent food and warm service. High prices.
I had the halibut special and it was perhaps the best halibut I've ever had - moist, tender, subtle yet flavorful - in an imaginative and well-balanced preparation. My wife's sablefish was also excellent. Service was great, and we enjoyed the ambience.
Great service and food. Would return for dinner next time. We had brunch.
We travel to Vancouver once or twice a year and always include this restaurant in our visit. We also ask to be seated in Aliki’s area as she is an exceptional server. We have never been disappointed with her presence.
We all loved everything about this restaurant. Delicious food, great service, gorgeous atmosphere. We were tempted to come back later for dinner!
Excellent preparation on sablefish. Attentive but not intrusive service.
This was a family celebration of my mom's 80th birthday. My mom has lots of diet restrictions, but the chef was willing to cook according to her preference. Seafood on the tower was so fresh, and the lemongrass chili source was very mpressive, which raised our appetite. All fish entrees were cooked to the perfect point and served with a delicated source and organic vegetables. The NY steak was super juicy and tender, which we all agreed was the best in the menu that night. The service was extraordinary in every single encounter, and all servers gave their best wishes to my mom for the whole evening. It is an elegant restaurant for fine dinning, but we felt relaxed and cozy when served by a cheerful and friendly team. If the environment can be less noisy, and the waiting time between courses can be shortened, it will be our best French fusion restaurant of Vancouver in 2018. Definitely it worths our next visit again later this year.
Food was good. The side with the steak was not so good. Otherwise it was a good atmosphere but expensive.
We had anniversary dinner last night. That was amazing; especially there is a handwriting letter for us, and the waitresses came by and said “happy anniversary” to us; also they wrote “happy anniversary” on the dessert plate with candle. I had such a wonderful night and the service is awesome! Foods are good too!
We renjoyed the sea food tour, delicious .Great atmosphere, amazing service.
Short ribs very fatty; one oyster was bad which spoils taste for all the rest. Steak was good. The server was very friendly and efficient.
The oyster bar is not to be missed. Jimmy is Awesome, a real artist and a great host!
Love this place! Such a pretty restaurant and great location. We’ve only been twice and for breakfast but both times we had such great food and we received amazing service. The mimosa cart is a must try!
Great food and service but a little pricey for what you get. If they brought their prices down they would get even busier.
We really enjoyed! Great atmosphere, amazing service, Delicious food.
Chef has great talent. Server was old school obsequious and most obviously angling for a tip. Despite that irritation, I highly recommend eating here.
Too noisy especially when the connecting door to Gerard private room is left open. The food is excellent. This restaurant is good for - just enjoy the food and go. Too noisy.
We were in Vancouver for a couple of days before leaving on a cruise. I found this restaurant on Open Table. It was a very pleasant experience!
This time I was having dinner with my friends and her families, all the dishes were good; the most unique dish to me was the dessert - was made with white and black sesame. I definitely will go back and try their tasting menu next time.
I was hosting a combination birthday and end of season brunch for several friends. The front desk/hostess worked with me in advance to set up, even as the group size changed.. Our server, Ali, was personally introduced to me before the guests arrived and provided exceptional service from presentation of the introductory bubbly thru dessert. Along with her support crew they were on top of our orders and needs without being obtrusive. In the 15 years that I have been dining/hosting around Vancouver this was by far the most professional restaurant staff - the food and drinks were all quite good too!
I was travelling alone in Vancouver, and I wanted to eat good food. I found a lot of the higher end restaurants in the city to be rather snooty, and I felt as if they didn't really want to seat a table for one (even if I was fine with bar seating).
Boulevard, despite being a rather high end restaurant was extraordinarily welcoming to me, so first of all - food aside - very welcoming, I did not feel awkward, unwanted, or out of place at all...which I was surprised given the chic appearance and upscale menu. The waitress was personable and funny and helpful...forgot her name but I'd like to give her a shout out.
The food was, of course, fantastic. I had Carpaccio, Crab legs, and even though I didn't want a steak...I had one, for some reason. I'm glad I did, It was very, very good. Desserts were creative, and I was happy to see they offered lighter and richer options. I had a poached peach crumble...which didn't sound like something I'd like but I ordered on the advice of the server...it was fantastic! I don't drink alcohol so my server surprised me with a Mocktail which was much appreciated and fun :p
Will be back next time I'm in Vancouver!
The seafood tower can serve as a large appetizer for two.
We completed our dinner with the beef carpaccio and casaracce pasta.
The beef carpaccio is done well.
The casaracce is a pleasant surprise. It is light but flavorful.
Spectacular service and mouth water seafood. Very knowledgable staff that truly seem proud to represent and present all they have to offer.
The seafood tower was lovely and so was our server. Very attentive and pleasant. The main courses we had were so-so. Not bad but nothing outstanding. I may have expected too much from the seafood linguini... the halibut special was okay too. The beef short rib was great according to my husband. The tasting menu looked amazing but we didn’t go for it since we really wanted the tower and didn’t think we would be able to finish everything. Overall nice place for a special meal. Would like to come back for the happy hour sometime.
Best meal in years...halibut, salmon, oysters Waiter informative, perfect pace, formidable wine list, tasteful surroundings
Tasting menu was magnificent, elevated even higher by thoughtful and impressive wine pairings
Incredible meal. Great service. We sat st the bar for a coup,e of drinks before seating. Good crowd with good conversation. Bartender was very attentive. When we move to dinner the entrees were very tasty.
Excellent dining experience with complex flavorful food elements & compositions. Wonderful server with knowledge and great recommendations.
A great experience. JP and our server took care of every detail. Our entrees were outstanding and the chef made my husbands favourite side, cream corn, even though it was no longer on the menu.
The service was great. The oysters were fresh and tasty, the carpaccio and goose liver likwise (small portion it was) the braised shortribs were tasty but a bit dry. The lamb was superb.
Boulevard has yet again exceeded our expectations. We are glad to spend our anniversary. Food, service and ambience are always on point!
Innovative preparations, attractive presentation, professional service.
My wife and I spent two of our four nights at Boulevard for dinner ... and we pledged to ourselves to do more on our next visit.
Our seafood — oysters, of course, and entrees of halibut and sablefish, which can be tricky to deliver — was first rate and beautifully surrounded by vegetables and sauces to use as one likes. (I liked.)
No room for dessert, but we wish there were!
The tasting menu is very tasty, lots of great combinations and flavours. The service was outstanding.
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service, the flavors, and the wines. We couldn’t have picked anything to improve on. Will definitely be back for a special occasion
We had a great time celebrating my boyfriend’s bday there. Great food and great service, we would definitely go there again!
