It was a good experience but service was a little slow in the middle for a brunch day which wasnt so busy. But prompt service for the brunch cart to come by! The clam chowder was great and he omelette too but the fried chicken was a little dry and tough. Though the mashed potatoes, biscuit, and slaw were tasty.
Incredible food, service, and atmosphere!
Great Variety of food, wines and cocktails which are very different from any other resturant in the town. We had our anniversary dinner there sitting outside and we did really get the feeling of being in France. Service got bit slower as it got dark and not many people sitting in the patio but it was still better than most of the resturant in town.
Fantastic food and fantastic service. One of the best places for seafood in Vancouver.
Our waiter was absolutely amazing he had a ponytail so sorry I don’t know his name
Very Lovely staff and wonderful vibe to the restaurant.
Food was amazingly good. Bar staff really knew their Scotch.
We would definitely go back and bring friends next time. Maybe even hold a corporate dinner there.
Staff was super friendly
The seafood was nice and fresh
Price is moderate
Visiting from La Quinta, CA. Nothing exciting about the dining room but Tanbier, our server, was friendly, helpful and efficient. The heirloom tomato salad and oysters for starters were wonderful. The seared foie gras and beef carpaccio as entrees were super tasty. The matcha tea desert was one of a kind delicious. Will be back.
The food was actually not bad. The service was awful. Our server basically gave attitude for asking for cutlery for our birthday guest.
Server did not know what the letters on the bottle of wine were. She went to ask someone and when she came back couldn't remember what she was told to tell us.
Couldn't remember what type of Oysters she brought us.
Was a poor poor experience for such a great chef's restaurant.
We will not return here again due to the really poor service even though the food was good.
Excellent atmosphere for dressy or elegant casual dinner. Food was superb. Dessert of rose and lychee was poor and very disappointing. Service was efficient but quite curt.Michael was unfriendly
A young man Issac however stopped to speak with us. And he was a wonderful representative of your business
It was my birthday celebration with the girls and you didn’t disappoint. Everything was outstanding! From the food, to the wine to the service, the birthday cake & birthday card and attention to detail. I really felt special! Thank you very much!
Loved the food. Loved the dessert. Loved the ambience. Will definitely go back
One of the best meals I've ever experienced! Perfect service, incredible food in an amazing atmosphere!
The food and service were both fabulous! Unfortunately, we were seated next to a rather boisterous table of 4, which made conversation difficult at times. Overall, it was a wonderful dinner and evening and we would definitely return again.
I’ve been to a private dinner prepared by the Boulevard Kitchen team so I was really looking forward to taking my friend to the restaurant for her birthday lunch.
First thing we noticed was the volume and heavy beat sound of the music. We got past that. Next there was a baby in our section that was crying and screaming pretty frequently. Again, we got past that.
We both ordered the Crab & Shrimp Louie Salad. They arrived and honestly, if there was 100 grams of seafood in mine, I’d be surprised. The dressing was cloying and sweet which took away from the shellfish flavors.
I expected more from this establishment and for the price.
Our drinks and wine were nice.
Overall not a terrible experience but I expected more.
Enjoyed excellent service and food during our dinner with friends from out of town
I believe our servers name was Lisa, she was amazing. We will be back!
They went over and above. The Capracio, Octopus and our mains were delicious, and they brought out a birthday sorbet after they learned it was my girlfriends birthday.
The food at Boulevard was solid, but somewhat unimaginative. The appetizers and mains were cooked properly and tasted good. However, unlike other restaurants of this caliber in the city, I would not say that the dishes were exceptional or particularly memorable, which is unfortunate given the high prices. Their wine list was one of the best I have seen in the city, and their use of the Coravin system allows diners to try wines by the glass that they normally wouldn't be able to. Their list of dessert wines by the glass was was also impressive. The one thing I would return for is the chocolate souffle, although an old fashioned dish, it is rarely seen on restaurant menus these days, and even rarer still, executed properly. Boulevard's execution of the chocolate souffle was perfect, resulting in a light and not too sweet chocolate cloud. However, at $300 for dinner and drinks for two, including tax and tip, this is definitely a place that I would consider over priced for the type of unimaginative fare they serve. I have had memorable meals at Michelin star restaurants in the USA and Europe for only slightly more money.
This was our first visit. The experience was tremendous. I have to say our server Jorge was one of the best that I have ever had. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and a true professional.
The food was excellent from the oysters to dessert. I had the halibut which was excellent. The black cod was even better.
However, the highlights were the desserts. The praline bar was tremendous. However, the Lychee and Rose was very different but very good. It is easy to see why it has been so acclaimed.
Great place for a special occasion or a splurge.
Excellent food as well as service. I would highly recommend it his restaurant
Beautiful venue, went for my son's birthday . Restaurant wasn't busy. Food was really good, service was very slow and inconsistent. Food came out at different times. Don't understand what the issue was.
Fabulous fresh seafood with superb service
Convenient location downtown Vancouver. Great food and service, restaurant is well run and efficient. Will make reservations when in Vancouver.
Good recommendation of Sparkling wine
Good seafood selection .
If you have an early dinner it’s a great place for food and value . After 8:30pm more people and could be too noisy .
Excellent seafood, wine and service. Highly recommended restaruant, very active near the raw bar, makes it a fun place to eat. Many items are off the main menu and are in limited quantity, so you might want to call ahead to reserve them. Also, they have a 4 course whole king crab dish for four that has to be reserved. At $750, it’s a little pricy, but seeing it served next to us, looked quite tasty. Food is creative and wonderful flavors.
The service was impeccable. The menu is extraordinary. The food is delightful. Great wine list but just chat to the staff, Liam nailed the pairings. Can’t wait to go back.
No complaints. Everything was amazing from start to finish! The champagne cart was an excellent touch and were extremely tasty champagne cocktails.
Fantastic experience all around. Thank you everyone.
Beyond delicious! Seafood linguine was so fresh and tasty. And don’t hesitate on the oysters!
Food tasted delicious. They have accommodated my daughter’s food allergies. Able to order that’s not on the menu for her. Service was excellent!
The food was spectacular and the presentation beautiful. Your staff is wonderful. We were very jet lagged and had a quick dinner to celebrate our 13th anniversary. There was a card from the table and a lovely rose cake to acknowledge our day. All of the staff went out of their way to make our dinner special including the greeter hostess who chatted us out the door. Will return!
The restaurant is part of the hotel. Open plan. Not formal in that there are no table cloths, etc. Service was excellent until the hot towels arrived at the end of the main course then ceased. We had ordered the fish special for two then were informed that they only had two available and we just missed getting any. It was 6:30 pm. The fish dishes we did then order were really excellent. Some of the best we have had and the fish portions were very generous. The accompanying vegetables were purely decorative so we suggest a side of something be ordered. Eventually, we were able to order dessert. Another dessert from the restaurant celebrating our occasion arrived simultaneously. Odd. We still really enjoyed our evening and the restaurant deserves its Vancouver Magazine rating. In retrospect, given the inconsistencies, we will likely go elsewhere next time.
Very nice place to have a chat with friends the setting is quiet and roomy. Food portion was on a smaller size for the value. I have higher expectation on the taste of food but overall it's good. Service is excellent.
Much reviewed and highly anticipated but a disappointment.
I think they try too hard; too many ingredients on the plate that aren’t integrated and that don’t contribute much to it he symphony.
The octopus was quite dry and was sent back.
Waygu carpaccio-good quality meat but too many things on top like marcona almonds.
Risotto was too al dented and quickly dissolved into much.
Miso black cod was good but too salty.
Service was excellent.
Delicious oysters, every dish better than the last.
Excellent seafood tower although oysters not as good. Think due to time of years. Table service excellent and reception excellent.
Came here for a group dinner. Fourth time here.
Started with the well-appointed seafood tower for four, and another dozen oysters (Totten Inlet Virginia, highly recommended!). All the cold dishes were as fresh as they come.
Proceeded family-style with an assortment of appetizers (foie, geoduck), and feasted on the cod, halibut, sablefish, and wagyu beef after. Main dishes came lukewarm, and we found most of the dishes palatable but underwhelming.
I would definitely return here for the ambience (good for groups), experienced staff, and raw seafood offerings. Appetizers and mains didn't stand out, but the service and wine selection sure did!
Excellent service and great recommendations on wine and port.
Amazing experience although the seafood tower could have more items
Started with the freshest oysters and foie gras and octopus. Octopus was a bit chewy and the only thing i didn’t like. Halibut is outstanding. Great cocktails and impressive wine list. Chef Alex Chen came out of the kitchen and spent some time with us, which I really enjoyed. Highly recommend if you are looking for a higher-end night out.
