Boulevard is connected to the iconic Gerard Lounge at Sutton Place Hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver featuring an oyster bar, private dining room and a large outdoor patio. This restaurant is the new showcase for the legendary and artistic fare of Chef Alex Chen. His inspiration comes from French traditions with a respect for the past while staying both current and modern. Our goal is to deliver an ambiance, service and cuisine that speaks of who we are and where we are located.

Private Dining

Our private dining room and lounge can be configured in a variety of ways to suit each individual event. We can accommodate up to 48 guests seated or 80 reception-style. Additional adjoining spaces can fit up to 100 guests, and the restaurant is available for buyouts (total capacity 200 seats).

Excellent food and even better service. Made us feel very special on our wedding anniversary. We were running late for the reservation and when we left a message to day so, they called us back to promise us that the table will be held for us. Thank you for the great night!!

Some of the dishes on the tasting menu were spectacular- the beet salad and the dessert. The halibut was over salted and the beef not very flavourful. The wine pairings were underwhelming. A $25 per glass of Pinot had no structure.

totally come back when I am in Vancouver next.

It’s 5 stars for sure with newly remodeled lobby and restaurant and bar is fresh looking and classy.

Fine dining at its best. We were celebrating a few birthdays other special occasions rolled into 1 gorgeous dinner.
Service: Jorge. And that's all you really need to know. From the onset, he was engaging & super attentive. The section got quite busy but he never seemed to miss a beat. We didn't seem to have to wait to long to get his attention nor did he ever seem he was trying to avoid eye contact. He answered Every single question with patience and knowledge. And I can sometimes ask alot of questions. His recommendations were excellent. The Boulevardier cocktail was Devine. I believe this is my new favorite.
Food: Great pacing of courses. We started with the seafood tower. Yes, I know. As my husband pointed out, EVERYONE has a seafood tower. However, this one was really delicious and the oysters, in my mind were the star. Delectable & sweet with perfect accompaniments. Who knew fresh grated horseradish was soooo good. Also the banter at the table was how good the mussels were.
All the entrées were cooked to perfection and but the highlight for me was the mushroom dish. The moment it hit the table, we were all hypmotzed by the aromas. I'm getting tingles just writing about it.
Finished off with the yummiest chocolate soufflé ever. So perfectly cooked and light and airy.
The rest of the table had tge candy cart. All house made candies and confections. I tried to sneak a bite of the house made strawberry marshmallow rope but it was gone in a blink. You'd think your husbands and sons would save a couple nibbles for you... *sigh* Put a delicious meal in front of them and all chivalry goes out the window.
All I can say is Thank you Chef & Jorge and the Boulevard staff for an excellent evening.

This used to be a very formal dining room for special occasions. We found the room itself now to be very noisy ..almost a pub like atmosphere, not worthy of the high end food and service and prices. Our dinner was delicious and service was great but we won’t be back as we could hardly hear each other talk.

The overall experience at this restaurant was below our expectations. Service was good but the food preparation was fairly slow. The only draw that took us to this spot was their overhyped seafood tower. It was decent but not impressive since other restaurants like Joe Fortes serve similar seafood towers. In terms of overall service, food quality and value you’re better off going to the Market or the Botanist in downtown Vancouver.

There was a bit of a SNFU as rain forced the paella extravaganza indoors and we arrived to a tumult of people in a paella conga line. Our 6pm reservation had been shifted to 7. Not to worry, the hostess recovered graciously and moved us to the bar/lounge area where we were able to sample 5 different kinds of oysters—all plump and tasty, a wonderful charred,octopus dish, a ling cod dish—best ever; and a scrumptious chocolate soufle. Our server did a magnificent job of taking care of us Oh, I forgot to mention the wonderful BC wines

Let me start by saying the food was amazing. That said the service was not what I expected from a restaurant of this calibre. We were continually hounded to make decisions. We were barely through page 1 of the wine menu when we were asked if we had decided yet. Not even 2 minutes later she was back to ask if we had decided and a following 2 minutes when we said we were still talking and deciding she asked if we needed the sommelier. Each time we told her that we would let her know when we were ready. We felt belittled during the whole process of choosing our meal and wine pairing for the evening. It felt like all they were only interested in was turning the table.
In the end we were able to enjoy our meal and time together. The meal is probably one of the best I ever had.

“Energetic” for noise level?! No, “noisy”, which is a pity because:
1. The food was exquisite, from oysters and their accompaniments through heirloom tomato salad, charred octopus, scallops with millet and the “peach” dessert.
2. The servers were impeccable.
3. The dining room is pretty.

Dinner was AMAZING and the attention to detail really is what separates Boulevard from everywhere else. We went for dinner for my fiancé’s birthday and on our table was a card that said “Happy Birthday” and on the back was handwritten note wishing him well. Our server was super friendly and checked up on us frequently. The food was extremely delicious. We ordered the wagyu carpaccio and it was perfectly seasoned and balanced. For our entree, we ordered the Salt Baked Snapper for Two and since it took awhile, chef comped us two individual size tomato salads (which I wanted to try anyway)! The snapper is tableside service and our server was extremely knowledgeable and presented well. For dessert, we ordered the Fromage Blanc and kitchen sent a small slice of peach mousse for my fiancé’s birthday 😭 then the petit fours!!!! Chef Alex, Chef Roger and Chef Kenta are geniuses. The FOH are trained well and bar had interesting cocktails. Order the 40 Thieves cocktail and the Conquistador! We want to come back for the regular menu.

Ordered the "seafood tower for four" as an appetizer. It was awesome! Super fresh and outstand array of oysters, crablegs, mussels, shrimp, and sides.. Fed us all so much we moved directly to dessert. Server Merisol was outstanding...and made our night out very special!

Amazing seafood tower and beautiful British Columbian wines from okanogan valley. Close to train station. Located in a stunning hotel. Enjoyed outdoor seating on a gorgeous day in Vancouver . Service was spectacular.

Seafood tower had abundance of fresh seafood and homemade salads and sauces. The oysters were especially good. Sable fish entree had lot of components that balanced each other well. Chocolate soufflé was exquisite - served with vanilla sauce on the side, which was poured into the middle of the soufflé by the server. They also make their own delicious bread and cornbread. Top-notch food, service, and decor. I very much enjoyed the meal.

The service was phenomenal! I had clicked that it was for an anniversary when I booked on OpenTable and they left a card waiting for us when we were seated! Very impressed and also gave us a complimentary dessert as well! Overall fantastic place for a special occasion/date!

Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. Seafood tower was excellent. We had the New Zealand Snapper en crut for 2 served tableside. Presentation was excellent and the fish with its accompaniments tasted wonderful. Only disappointments were the very stoic nature of our server (everyone else was excellent) and the vast number of bones still in the fish. This is obviously a high quality, high end restaurant. They acknowledged our anniversary beautifully with an assortment of bon bons. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it to others as I feel there are better restaurants to spend that kind of money at.

We really enjoyed our dining experience at Boulevard Kitchen. the food was excellent and the wait staff wonderful - both educated in the food and preparation and quick in service. it was a bit too noisy for us but that seems to happen in every restaurant. it was made worse by the fact that we were sitting in a booth and the distances were more difficult to navigate.
