We had the seafood tower for two and it was delightful
Worst service we have ever had at a restaurant
The service is very slow there. Not a great dining experience but the food is excellent. Wine glass left empty, food was cold, we did not have our order take. Until almost one hour in.
Service was outstanding. The chilled seafood tower was excellent. A pleasant, relaxed and unpretentious dining experience.
We ate at the Coast restaurant the evening before our meal at Boulevard. There was no comparison, as Boulevard was hands down better quality food, better presentation, better wait staff. My husband mentioned that it was the best service we’ve ever had.
If you are looking for upscale dining in downtown Vancouver, this is the place for you. The attentive and well informed staff made my dining experience unforgettable. 10/10!

Fantastic food. If you're a seafood lover I would definitely recommend this place. Price is a bit more on the expensive side, but you'll definitely get what you paid for.
The preparations were very different along with the sauces. My husband had a king cod with a shoyu sauce that was divine. My seafood linguine had a very nice presentation with the pasta the pasta twirled underneath the seafood. The sauce was not heavy and was very flavorful. We will definitely come back.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like you would expect for a restaurant of their caliber! Somm was great as was the server. Fun to have a proper caviar service and a great bottle of burgundy! Will be back sure

Service, food, and ambiance was amazing. Portion size for some dishes (linguini and sablefish) could use a little more protein. Desserts rounded out the meal very well.
Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar was very nice. The room is open and airy, the menu diverse, the service attentive, and the food nicely prepared and presented. The octopus and foie gras appetizers were delicious, as were the pacific cod and tuna mains were perfectly cooked and quite good. We would return on our next visit to Vancouver.
Boulevard was an excellent dinner choice because I stumbled upon the "best" carpaccio in my life! The beef was a Snake River Farms Wagyu cut, and the flavor was spectacular. Porcini aioli, pickled shiitakes, Marcona almonds, porcini tuille, parmesan accompanied this. The only thing I wasn't particularly fond of was the quarter size parmesan cheese rounds. I would have preferred to have a bit shaved over the entire dish for some with each bite. Next up was Charred Octopus preserved lemon dukkah, chermoula yoghurt, variations of cucumber, and this as well was a very savory dish. Certainly something I would order again. And last but not least was the seasonal selection of west & east coast oysters which I had with every day for four days while in town. Do yourself a favor if you love seafood and have an exceptional meal.
The food was very good. Amazing bread. Exception was my pasta, way too salty. But it was taken care of immediately when I brought it to mgts attention. Second try was very good.
My companion's burger was excellent.

We had the most amazing meal celebrating my parent's birthdays. The meal was incredible and the staff were wonderful! I highly recommend doing the tasting menu with wine pairings to take the experience to the next level if you are celebrating a special event.

Excellent food and even better service. Made us feel very special on our wedding anniversary. We were running late for the reservation and when we left a message to day so, they called us back to promise us that the table will be held for us. Thank you for the great night!!
Some of the dishes on the tasting menu were spectacular- the beet salad and the dessert. The halibut was over salted and the beef not very flavourful. The wine pairings were underwhelming. A $25 per glass of Pinot had no structure.
It’s a very nice place for brunch, lunch, high tea, happy hour or light dinner.

Fine dining at its best. We were celebrating a few birthdays other special occasions rolled into 1 gorgeous dinner.
Service: Jorge. And that's all you really need to know. From the onset, he was engaging & super attentive. The section got quite busy but he never seemed to miss a beat. We didn't seem to have to wait to long to get his attention nor did he ever seem he was trying to avoid eye contact. He answered Every single question with patience and knowledge. And I can sometimes ask alot of questions. His recommendations were excellent. The Boulevardier cocktail was Devine. I believe this is my new favorite.
Food: Great pacing of courses. We started with the seafood tower. Yes, I know. As my husband pointed out, EVERYONE has a seafood tower. However, this one was really delicious and the oysters, in my mind were the star. Delectable & sweet with perfect accompaniments. Who knew fresh grated horseradish was soooo good. Also the banter at the table was how good the mussels were.
All the entrées were cooked to perfection and but the highlight for me was the mushroom dish. The moment it hit the table, we were all hypmotzed by the aromas. I'm getting tingles just writing about it.
Finished off with the yummiest chocolate soufflé ever. So perfectly cooked and light and airy.
The rest of the table had tge candy cart. All house made candies and confections. I tried to sneak a bite of the house made strawberry marshmallow rope but it was gone in a blink. You'd think your husbands and sons would save a couple nibbles for you... *sigh* Put a delicious meal in front of them and all chivalry goes out the window.
All I can say is Thank you Chef & Jorge and the Boulevard staff for an excellent evening.

Too much hype, food quality not worth the money
This used to be a very formal dining room for special occasions. We found the room itself now to be very noisy ..almost a pub like atmosphere, not worthy of the high end food and service and prices. Our dinner was delicious and service was great but we won’t be back as we could hardly hear each other talk.
The overall experience at this restaurant was below our expectations. Service was good but the food preparation was fairly slow. The only draw that took us to this spot was their overhyped seafood tower. It was decent but not impressive since other restaurants like Joe Fortes serve similar seafood towers. In terms of overall service, food quality and value you’re better off going to the Market or the Botanist in downtown Vancouver.
There was a bit of a SNFU as rain forced the paella extravaganza indoors and we arrived to a tumult of people in a paella conga line. Our 6pm reservation had been shifted to 7. Not to worry, the hostess recovered graciously and moved us to the bar/lounge area where we were able to sample 5 different kinds of oysters—all plump and tasty, a wonderful charred,octopus dish, a ling cod dish—best ever; and a scrumptious chocolate soufle. Our server did a magnificent job of taking care of us Oh, I forgot to mention the wonderful BC wines

The food was exquisite, the seafood tower was a perfect starter for two. Jorge, our waiter, was very attentive and kind. Would absolutely recommend!
Let me start by saying the food was amazing. That said the service was not what I expected from a restaurant of this calibre. We were continually hounded to make decisions. We were barely through page 1 of the wine menu when we were asked if we had decided yet. Not even 2 minutes later she was back to ask if we had decided and a following 2 minutes when we said we were still talking and deciding she asked if we needed the sommelier. Each time we told her that we would let her know when we were ready. We felt belittled during the whole process of choosing our meal and wine pairing for the evening. It felt like all they were only interested in was turning the table.
In the end we were able to enjoy our meal and time together. The meal is probably one of the best I ever had.
