I’ll start by saying the Wagyu prime rib was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted so that was great but carpaccio, squash salad and seafood pasta was not very good. I recently saw that Boulevard won restaurant of the year so my expectations were very high and it definitely disappointed. There was also a hair in the carpaccio which they made again but still I didn’t think it tasted very good. I applaud the management for taking several items off the bill that we didn’t enjoy but I wouldn’t dine at this restaurant ever again. So many other restaurants that I’ve had better experiences at and are less expensive.

Boulevard features a very high caliber of food and experience. The dishes were all multi-faceted and excellent. the ambiance is great, and full of energy. We were also treated very well. A very positive experience!

Went for Happy Hour and was very happy with the service, food and cleanliness. All servers was pleasant and interacted with us to ensure we had everything we needed. The drink selection for Happy Hour was good. We had the oysters, meatballs and chicken wings. Everything was spot on in presentation, taste and getting it out in timely manner. I would not hesitate to go back.

It was a lovely restaurant. I knew from researching articles and reviews that it was a more expensive eatery than my usual budget so my expectations were high. Unfortunately I was a little underwhelmed. I was excited to try the seafood tower for two in particular and it didn’t quite meet my expectations nor the wow factor I’ve experienced from other seafood establishments with similar “novelty”, share platter items. Service was great though. The place felt clean in that they took all the necessary covid precautions. Ambiance was warm and lovely so I could see why it’s a special occasion spot. Overall not worth the price for me. Would try again for a seasonal menu or happy hour.

Celebrated a Birthday Dinner here. Had two different servers during our experience. One server was for our cocktails before our actual reservation. Both were exceptionally knowledgeable and delightful. The food was outstanding. The ambience couldn't have been better. A must try!

We had an amazing dinner experience at The Boulevard. First of all, I made a mistake and booked the wrong date but they were able to accommodate us for the evening. We started off with drinks, oysters and cornbread, it was a delicious start. I had the seafood rice which I can’t stop raving about. My hubby had the Japanese Wagu. It was worthy! We ended off with the chocolate mousse cake for dessert and we couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. The chefs and staff were phenomenal.

The best date night in 13 years of marriage. Very romantic with the low light, candles and flowers. Very well taken care of by the waitress and staff. Food was incredible, drinks very tasty! Overall best experience ❤️ Can’t wait to experience again!

Food was good but not great and should have been better considering the prices. My salad of tomatoes and burrata had only a tiny serving of burrata, less than half what we usually expect; and my seafood pasta had a tasty sauce but minimal seafood. (Two small shrimp, five small mussels, two small clams!) My wife had six tiny oysters at $4 each followed by the Quail special. Good taste but a single quail, two mushrooms, and a small portion of vegetable ($44) is not a satisfying meal. Bread is not served unless you pay for it.
There is no sound barrier between the bar and the dining room, the acoustics are bad, and the music loud, so normal conversation was impossible. We and every other set of diners were forced to shout to each other across the table. Not a pleasant ambience and not what we expect at an upscale restaurant.

It was a birthday dinner and I called up earlier to have a candle on the dessert.
The server was way to attentive, almost felt like rushing. The light is dimmed to the point you need your phone light to read the menu. The food looked great and tasted delicious but you had to turn the phone light to see the presentation.
The servers and managers wear a visor which feels not fastened and may fall off, which adds a level of stress.
They ran out of candles...what a let down.

Having heard about so man recent accolades bestowed upon the restaurant, I worry that my expectations were simply too high. My main (lingcod) was a decent restaurant main, but nothing outstanding. My husband ordered the special which was hen or squab with risotto, and we both felt that his risotto was undercooked (it felt crunchy). Our appetizers were again okay, but nothing special.

I was also disappointed by the dessert options knowing that Canada's Best Pastry Chef works for Boulevard. We chose the strawberry dessert, one of two options, and while it was the best thing we ate all night, it wasn't the best dessert in the city.

Always outstanding service and friendly staff. Enjoyed a delicious early evening dinner meal. Appys and mains were on point never disappoints. Desserts amazing as always. Social distancing was very good along with BLVD's own btl hand sanitizer at each table.

We were extremely impressed with our entire experience at Boulevard, celebrating a special birthday. The service was very professional and attentive, but also friendly and respectful. They seemed to be genuinely interested in making sure we had the best possible experience. For example, we inquired about whether a tasting menu was offered and our waiter initially told us it was not, due to Covid-19. We must have looked a bit disappointed, as this was a special birthday, and we had previously been offered a tasting menu on a similar occasion in the past, but resigned ourselves to ordering a la carte without complaint. A couple of minutes later one of the senior servers came to the table and told us that the chef would be happy to put something together for us. They suggested a 7-course menu for $150 and matching wine flights for $75 per person. While a bit on the steep side, we decided to splurge.
The sommelier, J.P. Potters (who doubles as the executive GM, apparently) was the most knowledgeable we've come across in any restaurant in BC, poured the wines, and gave a superb introduction to each, without being pretentious in any way. The wines were uniformly excellent (as one would expect at the price point). With a tomato-infused paella-like seafood rice, he poured both a Pinot Noir (a surprising pairing with a shellfish-based dish, but it actually worked really well), and a slightly off-dry rose, and asked our opinion as to the better pairing. The food was uniformly outstanding, and extremely artfully presented.
All the staff work masks (properly!), tables were spaced > 2 metres apart, and there was hand sanitizer at the table.
While hardly inexpensive, we felt we got our money's worth, and honestly as good a meal as we've had anywhere in BC, ever, period. This will be our go-to restaurant for special occasions and out-of-town visitors for sure.
