   Our service was quite possibly the worst I’ve ever encountered at a restaurant. Our server not only ignored us but we ordered cocktails and then a bottle of wine for dinner. Our cocktails came out and the table bread at the same time with no side plates or butter knives. My 6 year old celebrating her birthday went and found a couple spoons to stir their drinks themselves and butter knives to butter our bread. Within minutes of our cocktails and bread the entrees came out which was way too rushed and the wine never came with our entrees. Two of our party ordered steak and our server never came with steak knives or to check on how our meals were. The manager was notified of our surprise at the poor service and did comp the bottle of wine after we explained how we have not heard from our server at all about it. We said we just wanted a bag for the wine bottle to take and the bill and neither came and we actually had to go to the front desk and pay. This was for my daughters 6th birthday and was such a disappointment for all of us but I will say the food was absolutely fantastic so thank you to the chefs.

   This is a wonderful location and restaurant. The staff are friendly, welcoming and professional. The menu has lots of choice (mostly for adults in my opinion). The food was beautifully presently, and did not disappoint the palate! All six of us enjoyed the appetizers, meals and dessert. Our server was amazing, very attentive to our needs from water to drinks, she made suggestions from the menu. It was just a perfect evening all around. I would recommend it.

   Very disappointed in dinner here. Lots of families with kids, obviously no dress code. We were expecting a more upscale experience. Our main courses arrived and everyone thought the food was mediocre at best…plus the serving dishes didn’t seem to match our food. My risotto came in a bowl…looked like a bowl of porridge. My husband ordered bison tenderloin and the plate was so small, he was having trouble cutting his meat. Next time we are looking for a first class meal, we will skip the Ranche and go somewhere a bit fancier🤷‍♀️

   We came half an hour early and was seated immediately. We already knew what we were going to order before driving to the restaurant. It was ten minutes of waiting before the server cane to take our order. The food arrived within reasonable time. We ordered the bison tartare, surf and turf and a glass of white sauvignon. They gave us a bread basket with good “European” butter, if you will. Our surf and turf entree had mussels, shrimps, fish, sliced bison flat steaks, potatoes, carrots and broccolini. You can taste each individual meat/seafood. Didn’t feel it was all mixed together when you take a bite. The meal was delicious! When we were done eating, we waited literally for thirty minutes before the waiter acknowledged our table. We had tried to waive him several times when he passed by our table to the table next to us. He didn’t even notice us. We were going to order dessert and more wine, but the service just one of the worst we’ve had. We just paid the bill and left. Overall, the food was great, but the particular server that we had was horrible.

    Unique location and atmosphere (old ranch house) with amazing menu. For special occasions, this is a memorable restaurant. My wife and I frequent this restaurant a lot.

    The service was exceptional. The ambience was fantastic, like usual. The high point of the meal was the mushroom soup! So very flavourful, with the perfect texture. The surprise added appetizer was very nice. Just bite size each and so tasty. The steak was done perfectly, though my wife did not like the presentation as it was served as medallions and not one steak. The final surprise dessert to share was a great slice of cheesecake.     We had lunch on the patio with out of town visitors. Service was professional( thank you Grace) she anticipated a potential problem with a health related issue and promptly offered a suitable solution. Food was delicious, dessert was exceptional. The vegan meringue (Aquafaba) was delightful and creatively presented.

    It’s our family’s first time to dine at Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant. We decided to celebrate Mother’s day and my husband’s birthday on May 16th when all of us had the same day off. We enjoyed our meals and we had a very pleasant experience.

    Took over 20 minutes to get a beverage and fill our water glasses. Our waitress seemed very stressed and did not once check on our food quality until I had to ask someone else as I ordered crispy bacon with my eggs Benny, that also took a long time. Overall, not great service at all and mediocre food for the price.

    My only issue was when our dessert was dropped off the waitress just walked away and we didn’t get a chance to order coffee/tea. It was then some time before she came back with the bill.

    We had the burger at brunch and it was not quite cooked; we should have brought this up and mentioned it but we didn't. It made it difficult to eat, very greasy and quite red inside. On the other hand the eggs Benedict was absolutely delicious as always. Next time we will probably not try the burger. thanks.
