Every thing was very good!! We were there for brunch and enjoyed our meals. French toast was exceptional! Server was good but not that attentive for fine dining. We will definitely be back for dinner. The only recommendation is to
Add some noise dampening material to the ceiling and or floor as it was very noisy in the main hall.

Isabelle our server was very attentive and accommodating to our requests. The meals were made and served in a very timely fashion and coffee and water served endlessly. Lots of choices on the menu however I would ask that the menu be a bit clearer if certain dishes are gluten free.
Would definitely go again and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Food was solid but nothing exceptional. Whipped / Mashed potato was over salted but a minor issue. Service was very good.

We just had the best dinner with our family from out of country.
Our server Arjen was attentive and fun to have wait on us. We loved the ambience at the restaurant. It was cozy sitting by the fire without being too hot. The food was absolutely delightful and we all enjoyed every bite. The menu had many options but not too many to feel overwhelmed.
We had with us our 5 year old, 3 year old and 4 month old. We were accommodated and everyone took their time with our kids. They were extremely well behaved, but we were made to feel comfortable and at home. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back.

Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

Although I've lived in Calgary my entire life I have never been to The Ranche and what a mistake on my part.

From the time we walked in the door the experience was amazing. If you're like me and love old homes, this one is a must see.

The food was beautifully presented; the ambiance spectacular and the staff wonderful to deal with.

Thank you for making my birthday brunch a memorable one!

Everything was good except for the service. We were put upstairs in a room for 6 (ample room) but it turned out as - out of sight, out of mind. Our 5 course set meal took over 4 hours to be served — long waits between courses. Never had this problem before on previous visits.

We went for New Year’s Eve dinner and all enjoyed it. Food was very well done (especially loved the tuna and salmon tartare, as well as the beef tartare). Lamb sirloin was outstanding. Service was attentive and we didn’t feel rushed at all. One small criticism: I thought the lights were a bit too dim. It would have been nice to be able to see better, the food was presented so prettily!

Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed the New Year's Eve five course dinner at Bow Valley Ranche. The courses were delicious and generous in size. Our server was very pleasant. Unfortunately on two occasions during the course of the evening, there was a bit of a glitch when two out of the four of us would receive our dish, while the other two were left to wait. That is, until our server would notice that our course had not been delivered from the kitchen yet. He was prompt to address the problem, and certainly apologetic for the delay. Considering how busy the restaurant was, it is understandable that there may be slip-ups. We ate leisurely, and never felt rushed to give up our table. We were seated in one of the smaller rooms (used to be the dining room of the historical house) and the ambiance was lovely. Our group was pleased with the entire evening and agreed that it was a beautiful meal. Our thanks to Bow Valley Ranche for a lovely ending to 2018.

The new year dinner was good! The food was exceptional, but the kitchen was over whelmed. My husbands salad was incorrect from what he ordered, they brought out the main course before we had the 3rd course and he did not get the correct main course from what he ordered. I have been here for brunch and high tea with no problems.

I really have enjoyed the three visits here this year. It has a classic old school feel to it. The staff is well trained, polite and attentive. I am always happy with their food....the roast chicken is to die for. The wines by the glass are very reasonable. Love the old house, the window seats and local art they have on the walls.
Top marks!

A quant historic wooden structure located in a valley know as Fish Creek Park. We were lucky to be seated by a window close to the fire place as there was a noticeable draft coming from the windows. I noticed that most tables had hard seats but we enjoyed the cushioned chairs. The lunch special was adequate in portion and very tasty. We plan to return in the summer to enjoy the small patio.

Charming restaurant in a perfect location.

Excellent service with great attention to detail. The oysters were delicious along with all our main course dishes. My husband even said that he thought that the pork chop was the best one he has ever had in a restaurant.

I would definitely recommend Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant if you’re looking for delicious food in a great relaxed atmosphere with impeccable service.

Chefs menu was very good but soup and tenderloin dishes weren’t even warm. The waiter brought the bill while we were still eating dessert then showed up with the card machine shortly after. Made us feel like we were getting the boot. We had the wine pairing which he kept forgetting to bring with the plates they went with. We asked for a bag for our leftovers and he brought one and didn’t help as we struggled to get the boxes into the bag. The service was a let down for such a special meal.

Our meal was perfect. Every element was delicious on its own and beautifully coordinated flavours. I have a number of food allergies and they had no trouble accommodating with a meal that was delicious with no noticeable gaps. Excellent service, perfect timing and all together a wonderful experience.

The location of The Ranche is amazing and the mood continues as you enter the old home, no matter the time of year. Christmas is exceptionally beautiful as this setting absolutely lends itself to this season. And then there is the food....! Bow Valley Ranche is a special occasion kind of place, and it never disappoints. It’s too expensive to visit frequently, but when you do go, you can be sure of an excellent dining experience.
Whether winter or summer, you can enjoy the ambience of this lovely, rustic restaurant, because at Christmas it is beautifully decorated with white twinkly lights outside and inside, and in the summer, you can sit outnon the verandah and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature in Fish Creek Park.
The food is always top-notch - delicious, fresh and local. I enjoyed the catch of the day, which was Icelandic cod with fingerling potatoes and Brussels sprouts. One friend had the arctic char with tomato risotto and the other had beef tenderloin, and we all swept our plates clean. The only thing I ever wish for here is slightly bigger portions! The Death by Chocolate was yummy, but again, I wanted it to be bigger - it was more Minor Injury by Chocolate than death I thought.
All in all though, the dining experience was first class, and I can’t wait for my next excuse to indulge myself there.

Service was extremely poor. Our server took forever to come over and take our orders. Once the food arrived we did not see a server at all. No one asked how our meal was. Finally we asked a bus boy for coffee. We never did get coffee and the only time we saw our server was to present the bill.
At 11:00 am the restaurant was not that busy. By the coffee stage there were only five tables in our area.
As far as the food, the French toast was so thick the inside was cold. The naan flatbread with eggs was soggy. The chicken & waffles were good as well as the traditional Benny.
The best part of our experience was the hostess/front desk staff. Very pleasant and good service.

Food and service was excellent. Actually went above and beyond what we expected.
The noise level was far too loud for what we had in mind as We were celebrating a special moment. It was at night club level of noise. Once 6 tables around us left for the evening(about 3/4 of the way through our evening) could we actually have a conversation.
