The Bow Valley Ranche is located at the end of Bow Bottom Trail SE, in Fish Creek Provincial Park, just follow the signs for Bow Valley Ranche.

The Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant is the new fine dining facility located in the restored Ranche House. Their menu features a contemporary interpretation of Alberta regional cuisine. Today, the flavours and traditions of Alberta’s ranching heritage live on at the Bow Valley Ranche. Our Grand Salon holds approximately 110-120 guests. William Roper Hull and Senator Patrick Burns hold approximately 30-32 guests. Our John Glenn room, located in the upstairs, old master bedroom of the house, holds approximately 12 guests.

Sit down beside the massive fireplace in the Grand Salon or enjoy the covered wrap-around veranda during warm weather. Enjoy lunch, dinner, cocktails or weekend brunch. Reservations are recommended. Please note that we do not take reservations for the patio.

    We did not realize our reservation was at tea time, and we were looking for something more substantial, would be nice to have option of ordering from lunch or dinner menu. That said, it was lovely and service was great

    The food is always exceptional but our server for the evening was exceptional. I just wish I recalled her name. We stayed to the very end and closed the restaurant on Wednesday, November 29th, because we were engaged in a work discussion, and our server was very kind and kept filling up our water glasses instead of kicking us out. We are very impressed at the professionalism of this person and the always great quality of the food. We will be back!

    We began with the charcuterie board and the mussels, wondering whether there would be any room for our lamb shanks which all three of us had ordered as our entree. There was, thank goodness! The lamb shanks could not have been a better choice with the generous portions of meat almost falling off the bone. I was reminded once again why The Ranche has been one of my favorite restaurants for many, many years. And the ambience cannot be matched.

    Everyone in our 6 person family group enjoyed the food and the ambiance. The kids hamburgers were best ever Quality and quantity. They were full size and an inch thick- all meat. We had appies wine and desserts with our main courses. I was pleasantly surprised that the bill was significantly less than what I expected. All in All a great family special evening out.

    Enjoyed a leisurely birthday lunch on a Sunday. Started with the charcuterie board which was very nice. Only comment is that the cheeses should be cut into two servings instead of just one. They didn't place a cheese knife on the board, so the three types of cheese were not properly split for sharing. Otherwise it offered quality ingredients, that we did enjoy. We both had the baked chicken with polenta - also delicious. But the vegetable side that was expected - snap peas - were not really a side at all. We each had just 3 or 4 pea pods buried in the polenta suace. Quite disappointed that the entree was not properly accompanied, and barely garnished. We both felt that if we hadn't had the starter we'd have left hungry, so don't hesitate to order a salad - most folks will have room for it (and based on our entree, you'll be glad for the extra veg). We had their home made ice cream for dessert, along with tea. We ordered wine with the meal. I suggest that if more than one person is drinking, and you share the same tastes, that you order by the bottle. The prices by the glass seemed outrageous to me. They didn't have our first wine selected, nor did they have one of the teas we selected, but we had no difficulty finding alternatives. Service was decent, and questions were answered promptly. You pay for the atmosphere here. It's quaint, charming and completely delightful, and that's the main reason that I would return. The bill for lunch was quite steep - over $200 without tip (and the wine was only $40 of that). I had originally booked for dinner, but my guest actually requested we do lunch instead. My pocket book thanks her!

    The food was excellent as was the service! Unfortunately there was some unexplained issue and confusion with billing and it took 2 return trips and numerous texts to get it sorted out, otherwise a lovely evening.

    We had a wonderful meal. The server was exceptional, allowing us time to visit and take our time. She never made us feel rushed and honoured the fact that we were enjoying ourselves.     We celebrated our cousins birthday, and the restaurant was everything we had expected. We had a wonderful time and a table that was close to the window to watch the sunset. Our server was outstanding and very attentive to our orders for food and drinks when we come back to Calgary again, we will definitely visit Bow Valley ranch restaurant again.

    Food was delicious. Tea was good. Service was okay. I was there earlier in the week and know u have much better service though. It was a slow and had to chase her down. Few times. And the room was way to hot. Made it uncomfortable and distracting

    Bow Valley Ranche is situated in a beautiful setting, that is warm and inviting. Brunch was delicious, servings were generous, perfectly prepared and served. Our server was friendly, attentive and efficient. The experience was a lovely start for a birthday Sunday. We will definitely be back.

    The place doesn’t provide the experience that I expected from the photos. Food wasn’t great. Sweet potato soup as the best. Risotto was the worst. All in all overpriced comparing with the food and the experience
