   The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful but the food is absolutely amazing. I’ve never had a dish that was disappointing. We love this Restaurant. Thank you for your outstanding service and delicious food.

   Leisurely get together with a friend I hadn’t seen in a couple of years. The multi course special allowed us to linger and all courses were tasty and well prepared and presented.

    It's been years since I was last at the Ranche, and I was reminded that I should come back more often. The service was incredible from arrival to departure. They were very accommodating (and reassuring) when managing my dietary requirements as a celiac. From gf bread to gf panko on the bone marrow it was fantastic. The grilled octopus was amazing, something incredibly difficult to come by in Calgary. My wife and I shared the surf and turf which was delicious and possibly even too much food for 2.

    Everyone at BVRR was so nice. It was a milestone birthday for me and they gave us our own little side room. Our server, Dana, was outstanding and fun. The evening was really special thanks to her and everyone else, thank you for an incredible meal. All of the food was delicious, I’m pretty sure you can’t go wrong with anything you order. This restaurant has the best ambience and is worth the drive. Visit if you haven’t already!

    The food is absolutely amazing. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. The kitchen was able to accommodate several allergies and dietary restrictions. It’s the perfect restaurant for a special night out.

    We had the most wonderful anniversary dinner. The service was outstanding as was the food. We started with the grilled octopus (spicy but delish), shared the generous surf n turf platter and then I dulled in the chocolate crème caramel and the cheesecake. Will definitely go back!

    Great food and service. We had the mussels and elk tartare both were outstanding. For our entree we had the surf and turf with bison strip, scallops, prawns, salmon served with potatoes and carrots. Everything was excellent including the service. We highly recommend this restaurant.

    It would have been nice to know that the main dining room was closed for a private function when we called. Also, good information would have been that the tenderloin wasn’t a steak cut, but a slow cooked tenderloin. It tasted very nice, but wasn’t what he thought we were ordering. Some training with the wait staff to clarify things like that would be a value-add.

    Our server was wonderful and thank goodness because everything else was 2 stars. The manager tried to accommodate however in that he rushed my family and I out. They were getting ready for a wedding, which I get but did this while we were still trying to enjoy our meal. They were extremely loud, felt like they wanted us out and didn’t apologize. We also ordered high tea and one breakfast for my husband, which his meal came before ours so far in advance that he had to start eating and even finished by the time we got ours. The high tea was so so and for 50$ a person, we will not be coming back. I do have to say our server was very lovely and she did do a good job but over all I wouldn’t spend the money on this experience again.

    IT IS ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO VISIT "THE RANCHE" THE FOOD IS MOST ENJOYABLE BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SUGGEST A DIFFERENT SUPPLIER FOR THE ENGLISH MUFFINS, ASKED OUR SERVER FOR A STEAK KNIFE TO CUT THROUGH THE MUFFIN AND EVEN THAT I WASN'T SUCCESSFUL. MY FAMILY ENJOYED THEIR BRUNCH...................WILL WE BE BACK? MOST DEFINETLY!!! THANK YOU, M. SAUNDERS

    We ordered oysters on the half shell, they were forgotten about and I asked for them twice and they came after our meals were finished so we didn’t really want them at that point and was a bit disappointing as we were full from dinner. We also didn’t get asked for drink refills at any point until we flagged down someone other then our server. Food was amazing however!

    Went to celebrate our first Valentine's Day. The four course pre-set meal was absolutely delicious. The only thing we found wrong was the third course entrée was bordering on cold (braised beef) and the mashed potatoes were slightly underdone so very pasty. Still even that course was very tasty. The server we had was absolutely amazing and all the staff was very friendly. The manager had asked how the meal was and seemed to just dismiss it when we mentioned the temperature of the entrée. The desserts were definitely the highlight of the meal and possibly the best desserts we've had. Also highly recommend getting a Blueberry London Fog with your dessert if you visit here. We will likely attend again for a special occasion. The atmosphere is very pleasant as well. At first the full dining room seems a bit noisy but it drowns out quickly as you become used to it, then it just becomes white noise and unnoticeable. Definitely recommend Bow Valley for anyone looking for somewhere for a special dinner on a special occasion.

    We have been to Bow Valley Ranche for dinner numerous times, and I have to say this is the first time I was disappointed in my meal. The beef short ribs were very dry, we asked for extra sauce but it really didn’t help. The service was amazing!

    We were very disappointed with the service -took long for someone to come and seat us - we had a reservation at 1:30pm - then took a long time to have service at our table We chose the preset lunch menu. My husband had the parsnip soup - which was very good. But my salad was a bunch of greens and hardly any dressing Entrees were delicious- I had the salmon and my husband had the beef ribs Dessert was a bit sad - strawberry trifle with a ton of whip cream The restaurant is a beautiful historic building and one would expect the chef to be more creative with the meals. Also I would suggest not taking these for 1:30pm. I understand the restaurant closes at 2pm - it felt like the staff did not want to be there! Hardly any smiling faces. We didn't even have a rose at our table - even though it was Valentine's Day. Experience did not match the prices they charge Also the path leading to the restaurant was very icy and was not sanded.

    The Ranch was amazing. The food and service was soooo good. Our Server was super friendly and really funny. We had the oysters and cheese and charcuterie to start, followed up with the Surf and Turf. All the food was super fresh and very tasty. Lastly, we had the pumpkin baked Alaska - pumpkin ice cream, meringue, rum spice cake, phyllo pastry. To die for. Thank you for the great night. We will be back!
