Overall our experience was ok. Unfortunately there were not many vegetarian options. We asked for the mussels to be made without the sausage but unfortunately they came with the pork. Service was very friendly.

We ordered a bottle of wine that was $55 on the wine list. They charged us $75 and when I questioned it they said that wine is market price and is not always the same price as the menu says. Not impressed at all. The next morning I received a call from the food and beverage manager and the General Manager. They more than made it right! Very happy with how they handled the situation.

My fiancé steak was very grisly and a bit rare for the medium that was ordered and the serving size of mashed potatoes was child size . Our server was excellent and we enjoyed our evening there . Overall I feel we could have had more menu choices and larger servings elsewhere so I would not eat there again .

My friend has a shellfish allergy which I noted only reservation as well with our waiter to which we were assured the kitchen could accommodate any food allergy. Well my friend became very I'll when we returned to our room to which she said is typical symptoms to her contact with shellfish. Very disappointing.we dined here the night before had the same appetizers (tuna tartar)which was delicious. We both had the ribeye with gnocchi instead of mash potatoes mixed veggies.The gnocchi was horrible the steak was awful and the carrots in mixed vegetables were hard as rocks. So enjoyed our first dinner however this second night was a complete disappointment and shellfish allergies can be deadly.

For the price, main courses were disappointing. Salmon was overcooked and my steak was chewy. Appetizers were amazing. Presentation was good and service is excellent. Drinks are pricey but good.

More than a few menu items were not available. Menu changes have resulted in a very narrow selection of items. Prices are too high for the quality, portions, and types of items. Bring back the seafood fettuccine.

Food was good but the waiter was not very friendly or attentive. We had to ask for a desert menu and he did not ask if we wanted coffee or tea. Had to finally ask for our bill after a long wait.

Service was exemplary. Our dinner was delightful, I ordered the salmon, my husband ordered the rib eye, both were cooked perfectly. Our server was outstanding and that really added to the quality of our dining experience.

The hotel was gorgeous and we were very excited to eat dinner at Braxtons. However, our experience was disappointing. The food was good (not great) and for an elegant place like this with the kinds of prices and ambiance provided, the service ruined our evening. Our waiter essentially took our order and did nothing else. We had to look around and ask for a second round of drinks, he did not ask us how our food was after it was served. My son's $42 steak was medium, not medium rare. The waiter never came by to inquire if we needed anything. Our empty plates sat there quite a long time, until we finally moved them to the side and stood up to leave. At that point, he suddenly appeared. We did speak with the manager who was very nice and he removed one round of drinks from our $200 tab.

the food and atmosphere was amazing. our waiter was kind, funny and efficient. we had the ribeye with vegetables it so flavourful and cooked to perfection. we we’re give a delicious dessert for our anniversary dinner. we highly enjoyed our anniversary dinner.

The kitchen was slow that day and when the French fried came they were cold. But the PE mussels was outstanding as was the professional attitude of our waiter. Beautiful setting and good food. I would love to back a third time hopefully with faster service.

Our waiter and service was excellent, however, the dinners, two, were lukewarm at best and lamb dinner is overpriced for two thin ribs. I am sure The Algonquin can do better. I would be hesitant to book dinner here again.

Food was excellent however timing was off. Main courses brought while we were still finishing our appetizers and drinks. Wine ordered to be delivered with dinner not brought until we were halfway through our main courses.

Alway a great time at Braxton's. First time for lunch. A little disappointed in the menu. My Wife and I normally order the Tomahawk steak for 2. Were not able to order it, because they do not deviate from the lunch menu. Unfortunately, Will not be coming back for lunch again.

Our main server was Gio, he was fantastic. Attentive without hovering. Very pleasant to chat with. I'm vegan and loved the broccoli appetizer, my main was cauliflower, the most delicious cauliflower entree I've had the pleasure to eat. Desert was incredible, chocolate, over the top. My companions are not vegan and loved their seafood entrees. I would highly recommend Braxtons. It's a 5* experience.

Maybe it’s due to post covid maybe it is due to change in ownership but unfortunately the place has gone down hill :( the chairs need a good cleaning , the floor needs cleaned the walls have ketchup etc and the glass is full of finger marks and foggy to see through . the tables look like they have been wiped with a dirty cloth and the bench seat was ripped the wooden door was sooo dirty I know this is not a highly rated review but i have to say i have been going here for years , first time post covid positive - chowder was awesome and the service stellar ! I truly hope things improve for this majestic place

White wine served room temperature. Big spill as served. Very little seafood in chowder. 2 mussels. Table wet and not wiped up or concerned. Need better S& P shakers. Or grinders. Still wine in bottle when removed. Overpriced for quality. Can’t ride on the name and we are local. Sad.
