Our server (I apologize for forgetting her name but she had short curly brown hair and glasses) was great despite our very awkward conversations. She was very patient with us. However, being one of the only brown people in the restaurant, the man at the table next to ours kept staring at me. It was very uncomfortable. Other than that I loved it there.

Brighton Bar and Grill has an extensive menu with choices ranging from light dining to comfort food. Our waiter, Ryan was very attentive and helpful. Food portions are generous. Our table was in a busy location, thus a bit distracting. A great place to go for delicious food and great service.

The food was very good, the service was excellent. But it was New Years Eve & it was extremely noise. We could have done without the music, it only added to the noise.

The hostess told me it would be a second, they were “clearing off a table.” However, they then proceeded to sit multiple couples ahead of me, with or without reservations. I was then informed that they would seat me when my full party got there. I wish I would’ve known that before I got irritated, because it was a first date and I would’ve loved to already had the table. I like the atmosphere and my burger was good. It got pretty crowded around my table near the door so we lost our server for most of the night. Not sure if this place is worth the pricier tag. I’d recommend not getting a table by the door on a busy night.

Food was good, not spectacular. The fish was under seasoned ; bread basket arrived with half of the rolls burned; waitress didn’t tell us about the specials (which we saw on our way out, and would have ordered); nor did she check on us for a second round of drinks or water refill. Pasta was good and lamb was prepared well. For all the rave (voted one of best restaurants in metro Detroit) I was underwhelmed by both food and service.

This was my second visit - the first was for dinner and I gave it 5 stars. This time we went for lunch and was not so impressed. The service was extremely slow - and I felt like I had to search for our server several times. The food was good - nothing special - basic lunch menu.

One negative that has always bothered me for many years is that the wait staff area is in the middle of the restaurant. While we were about 10 feet away from them coming and going, placing orders on the computer, dirty table items placed there, a tray was dropped. Very disruptive. It makes relaxing difficult if the staff and also the manager are hustling around.

We enjoyed the food, drinks and our waitress was super friendly. However, we had 6:30 reservations for our 10 year anniversary and the wait was insane. We didn’t get seated for our reservation until 7pm. I understand it was busy and lined out the door but for a reservation a half hour wait seemed as if they were very unorganized. The hostess was running around like crazy and told us just to keep waiting and never gave us a time estimate. For a reservation we thought maybe a 5 minute wait but a half hour standing was a bit much. We had a great meal and will be back but I think the organization could improve as many seemed visibly upset and they had a call ahead list, reservation list and a wait list. It was just very chaotic and the staff didn’t seem to know what to do.

Great Open Table experience. I had put in a preference for a window table, and we got one despite the fact that they were alreafy crowded. Really impressed! Always like that you can substitute any side without any surcharge. We love BB&G!

I was pleasantly surprised at the interior. Spotless and tables had tablecloths on them. Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was delicious. Had tomato soup and wonderful salad with salmon on it. Will definitely return.

Great menu options and service- almost too quick! We were seated in the back room and next time would ask for main room or bar.
Very happy with our meals and prices were fair. We will be back.

I like the reserve a table program, love the atmosphere, especially the boths, and some of the food. The fact that its downtown right by the park (location) is great. In summer love sitting outside. Would like to see a few more things on the menu , Like ribs, chicken, etc. but the 8 oz. fillet stake is very good.
Been going to your restaurant for over 20 years and really like it. :)

My husband & I came here for the first time for a date night, which we rarely have. We were super excited & had heard good things about this restaurant. We had a reservation & were seated right away. Since we've never been there before, I needed some time to look over the drink menu which was quite extensive. I told the server this but she continued to stand there. I told her again, nicely of course, and yet she still stood there. 3rd time telling her and she finally walked away. I eventually ordered a cocktail and it took more than 20 minutes to arrive. There were only a handful of people there at this point so not too busy. We then ordered dinner. We told her it was our 1st time there, which I thought she would then recommend certain meals or at least share with us the more popular meals.....nope, nothing, not a word. Food arrived & my dinner was extra spicy :( She also never even stopped to ask how we were or if we wanted another glass of wine :( :( As we sat there waiting for our bill, we did notice more efficient and friendlier servers!!! We will definitely try it again BUT will remember what section/server not to sit at.

Very enjoyable meal and atmosphere. Large, varied menu. Very well priced...for example, most wines less than$10/glass and dinner side salad for $3.00.
This was our 2nd visit in 2 weeks.

Went here for a dinner with my aunt. Service was great as usual. The beet and goat cheese salad was lovely. The dressing was light and delicious. The salads are al la carte and it was huge. You could easily split the salad and have plenty. I had the Halibut and it was wonderful. The salsa topping really accented the fish well. My aunt had the walleye and sadly it was mushy. I guess you can't cook the fish perfectly each time but I will go back and definitely order the Halibut again.

Had a reservation but still had to wait about 20 minutes. Was led to our table - they sure pack them in there! Our table was near the busy kitchen doors. Server took awhile to come to our table. Took drink orders only and did take awhile to bring third and come back for our food order. Food did come quick and was good. No problems there! Server never did ask if we would like another round of drinks or anything else. Have eaten there before with great service but this visit service wasn’t to good.

The meal was perfect once we got seated.
We were less than happy that we had to wait in the crowded entrance for 1/2 hour even though we arrived in time for our reservation. It would have been appropriate for the owner or manager to offer an appetizer or dessert as a kind gesture for the delay.

I took a chance on recommending the place, to get together with my friend from out of town, based on my 30-something son's recommendation and the reviews were fairly good....I was not disappointed! We had drinks....all good, even the wine recommended. We had the Garlic plate appetizer - plenty for 3 of us and some leftover. My friends had the salmon & the scallops and loved it. I had the Walleye - good flavor, but dry. My favorite dessert is carrot cake, so of course I ordered a "slice" and my 2 friends ordered 1 to share. Again, not disappointed, but you should have seen the look on my friends face when they brought it(coming from behind me....I wasn't sure what she was gasping at!). The portion was HUGE!. We could have split it 3 ways and had some left-over. I will definitely be back....just won't have the Walleye!

We have been there several times and I’ve always had the best of service and an excellent Dining experience. The only issue was we had a 7 o’clock reservation And weren’t seated until 7:35 PM. The management however, did, comp our dessert. It was Sweetest day. We will be back!

This is a staple in Brighton, MI. You can always depend of a good meal and good service. We go here three or four times a year and are never disappointed. It's a little expensive but not outrageous. Casual attire is fine or dress up if you like. The staff never rushes you if you care to have a nice leisurely pace. Good food.

Made reservations for party of 4 ... had to wait 15 minutes for a table. This has become typical of all my recent visits here. If you don't want to accept reservations, just say so.
Food is average ( literally ); That is, some menu items are consistently really good, and others are consistently poor.
