The ambience in the restaurant was not great. For a 745 seating, the lights were very bright and there was no music playing. When asked to turn down the lights and turn up the music they wouldn't/couldn't. The menu wasn't as great as other Buca's, and we didn't think the service was great.

Food was very good, with a great wine list to boot. We started with their garlic bread knots, which arrived hot and fresh. We followed this with our mains. One of us had the lobster pasta, which was extremely flavorful, well portioned, and fresh. The only issue we had was with our second main, which was ricotta stuffed chili infused pasta. It was delicious, however my partner was only given 5 pieces, which wasn’t very filling. This was surprising given A) the price and B) the size of my lobster pasta. We complimented our meal with a 2022 Chardonnay from their exceptional wine selection. The service was very good, everyone was extremely polite and knowledgeable. We also were given a special gift as it was our anniversary. Overall, an amazing meal. Maybe just ask about portion size before ordering!

The service was nice. We ordered the octopus carpaccio it was nice but way too salty. The tun spread was good. The small bits was also good. Duck pasta was cold and very undercook. I like al dente pasta but this was too much and just over all has not tasty. The duck was cold and turn in to greasy clay. The pizza has okey. Nothing exceptional One of my drinks that I ordered had a fly in it. The waiter change it of course, but the thought of me actually drinking a sip from it was just really a turn off We had to pay for the drink But the waiters was very sweet

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Buca Yorkville. Our waitress (sorry I can’t remember your name) was wonderful- happy and helpful. Highly recommend the salumi, peach salad, parpadelle beef, and agnolotti. Thank you.

Very interesting experience unlike anything before with any server! Can I have the burrata on the side? NO. Pardon me (did I hear that right)? NO. Our chef won’t like that. Ok. Can I have your (straight from the menu) salumi trio? NO. Sorry (did I hear that right)? I said NO. I really don’t like that. Wait what? I said NO. You shouldn’t order that. I really don’t like it. Ok!! Other NOs were served too… but boy oy boy this was a different one.

Some of the best Italian food we have had in Toronto. Tucked away, intimate yet lively. Staff are well-versed with wine pairings. Menu is somewhat limited but the focus on the quality of the food shines through. Cocktails were spot on too. Highlights: -FRITTO MISTO -MACCHERONCINI DI CAMPOFILONE -CARPACCIO DI POLPO

Had one of the best birthdays here. My server patiently explained the menus and offered great food & wine recommendations. I was also given homemade pasta as a gift. So sweet! Will definitely visit again and again.

We've been to Buca many times in the past - food is normally always fantastic. We've noticed since COVID service in Toronto tends to be a bit bland and very transactional. Also, she had some bad breathe, I've worked in the industry when I was in university and even then I knew, look good, smell good, and have fresh smelling breathe. Get a listerine pack! Service 6.5/10 The food: OLIVE CALDE - 10/10 - some of the best olives I've ever had Burrata pizza - 10/10 - it's a perfect pizza! MACCHERONCINI DI CAMPOFILONE - 6/10 - flavour would have been a 9-9.5/10 but the sauce was so overly salted it was hard to eat - the pasta itself was cooked perfectly al dente POLPO E VONGOLE - 5.5/10 flavour would have been a 8.5-9/10 but the sauce was so overly salted that it was hard to eat, even saltier than the pasta, also when we left we had such a head arc from all the salt form the food. - all the ingredients were cooked properly - the octopus was cooked to tender - ironically they were under season - we had to use the sauce to salt the food - maybe this was their intention - but the sauce was too salty - and I like salty food.

Absolutely fabulous. Our server was impeccable helping find the right bottle of wine (right taste and price point). The food was amazing … a deconstructed ceasar salad, grilled octapus and halibut in cream that melted in my mouth. The decor is 70’s chic that feels very modern Italy. Loved it.
