Buca Yorkville Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed the food very much and the wine list was good. However, our waiter, Andrew, was clearly impatient, and a touch annoyed with us, which was jarring. We felt rushed by him. Also, the young man who brought and poured our wine seemed confused. He could not seem to grasp that we all wanted to try both the red and the white wines but not at the same time. And he did not fill the glasses of the two people in our party who tasted the wines for approval. Finally, perhaps it was where we were seated, but it was very noisy. Too noisy for comfortable conversation. After an hour of straining to hear each other we were exhausted.
Service was excellent. Food was very good. The tiramisa was fantastic. But I would say Buca Bar is better value for money and a more laid back vibe.
Lunch at Buca seemed a special treat on a deadly frigid day. The food was delicious, the service superb.
My wife I spent our anniversary at Buca and were pleasantly impressed with the quality of the food and service, they made us feel very welcome as if were family.
We are looking to put next meal at Buca
Came here with high expectations, like most. Was pretty disappointed that the pizza was about twice the price of my normal go-to pizza (Libretto, Piano Piano, etc) but more importantly not as good! The fried fish appetizer (dont remember the translation) was basically a pile of off-ish cut fried fish pieces with 'chili salt' (which just tasted like salt) and lemon bringing the only flavour. Surprising.... for $185 for 2, notttt a memorable experience. Everything tasted fine but...come on.
Service and food were excellent. We added truffle to our pizza, found the slices to be too thin and flavour to be less potent than previous visit. Nonetheless can’t wait to come back.
Went there for lunch. In general overpriced. The Branzino sashimi tasted good but the temperature was too warm for raw fish, and for $56 I can get better grade at Miku. Pasta dishes were good but not better than Terroni. We had 3 to 4 fruit flies circling our table the entire meal, and the diners next to us were equally annoyed. This shouldn't happen at a restaurant of this calibre. Makes you question the cleanliness of the kitchen. Service was good.
Nice feel, overpriced, great service
Excellent food and service. The deserts were a highlight.
Very good food. The raw brazino in olive oil and sweet salt was a treat.
Really amazing seabass filet, done in front of you. Very fresh. Service staff were sincere.
i couldn't hear myself think. too noisy. couldn't carry a conversation with my friend.
Excellent service and food is delicious and beautifully served. Expensive but quality experience. Great wine selection and terrific ambience. There's a lot of energy in this place. Very special.
Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and gave great recommendations! The burrata pizza is to die for! Came here for an anniversary celebration and was not disappointed. It is definitely on the pricier side, but well worth it for a special occasion.
Yummy dinner. Would like to see more vegetarian things on the menu
Excellent service and very nice food
Hostess was not helpful. She said there were no tables available for rest of the day, yet I found openings on OpenTable. Service was terrible and took forever. Menu was very limited.
Excellent visit and amazing meal. Very loud so not great for private conversations. But I will be back again!
Great special occasion lunch! Fantastic experience.
Menu: Food tasty enough but nutritional quality/combination poor. Vegetables not served with starchy offerings, and a la carte salad was such a small portion. The smoked fish app was laughably minuscule! Suggestion: Offer balanced entrees with quality protein and a healthy portion of vegetables! Pizzas and pastas don’t count.
Value for money: Overpriced, even on an expense account.
Noise level: So noisy one had to strain to be heard above the din. I would not take a date there, nor would I do a business meeting.
Service: Good servers but wait times too long. Needs were not anticipated because servers were too busy (lunch time).
We had a most enjoyable evening. Both food and service was outstanding. Wait staff very attentive!
Fantastic place for healthy and yum food! Excellent!
Fantastic food (the duck pasta, duck breast, cured fish/seafood selections and shrimp carpaccio were amazing), great service and nice atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.
Fantastic service and food by the staff and chefs at Buca Yorkville. I really appreciate the fact that they knew it was my wife's birthday and had arranged a gift to celebrate. We will definitely return and have already mentioned this incredible restaurant to our friends. Thank you for going above and beyond.
Outstanding , recommend to anyone and can’t wait to go back!
We are always impressed with the constant high quality food and service offered at this restaurant.. can’t wait for my next visit!
Amazing food, even better service. Would definitely return.
outstanding brunch, loved everything we had. Great environment and decor
Excellent spot for lunch or dinner 2-4 diners. Perfect by south window - natural light and less noisy.
delicious, as always
Food was excellent however service left something to be desired. We were left waiting on two occasions for a significant period of time for wine to arrive. One of the items I wished to order was not available but this was not made clear until well after the order. When one has a later reservation staff should be aware of what has run out and be sure to keep on top of this. It is not acceptable to make a selection and then be told it is not available at the prices and at this caliber of restaurant. It is not acceptable to be left waiting for wine pairing for long periods of time after food has arrived.
We found the food to be of a high caliber but are very disappointed in the service. The room was noisy and difficult to understand staff.
Amazing... from the food to the service to the atmosphere!
Excellent service and delicious food. I could eat those bread knots literally all day...and the pizelle dessert, incredible!
I had a nice dinner with my family and friends. I ordered the veal, buffala pizza, duck egg pasta which was best dish. Apps we had tried seafood and chef choice salami plate...very unique.
Very tasty dessert, we got the Apple tart and tiramisu. Great service but the food was by far the star.
It was my wife' birthday and we always spend it alone together at an eating place. Buca was chosen after reading the write ups. It truly lived up to all the information we read.
We would recommend to all that are looking for an exceptional place to go to relax with outstanding
and excellent menu.
Service was very snobby and rude. We felt like we were somehow not good enough, not trendy enough, not rich enough to warrant our server's attention. That is not the way one should be made to feel in any setting, anywhere. The whole place had that air about it.
The food was not that great either. Pizza was acceptable, pasta was bland and tasteless. The only positive thing we could say is the food came relatively quickly. But we'd never go there again and were sorry we picked it.
Very nice atmosphere. Andrew who was my waiter was very knowledgeable in regards to the menu. Most of it was in Italian so I can't remember exactly what the dishes were called but I had scallops. Very tasty, very light meal though. You'll need an additional dish. Also had a grand frito I think it was called. It's an assortment of fried vegetables and fish. Very good you can really taste all of the different flavors. Something as simple as onion really stood out and tasted great. A little pricey though depending on what tax bracket you're in.
