Great service, but so loud
We shared a salt and herb crusted fish which was delicious. However, $140 for 800 grams seems high, and it included nothing else.
Similarly, the Italian Rose we had was superb, but not at $100 per bottle.
After a very positive first experience at Buca several years ago, I was very disappointed this time around. Portions are tiny and the dishes are extremely expensive but lacking complexity and strong flavour. The burrata pizza was the best thing we got this time around, was very underwhelmed by the risotto (tiny portion, could only taste the saffron and hardly any other content), and the tonnarelli (hardly any flavour and minimal portion of octopus). The service was fine but nothing spectacular or friendly, which is what you'd expect for a meal of this price and reputation. Wine list was very restrictive. Overall there are much better restaurants to get real bold Italian flavour, real portions and a more welcoming experience.
Everything was wonderful. Couldn’t have been a better anniversary dinner.
I did not like the menu to begin with. Every pasta dish had fish/seafood and one person in our party does not eat fish. I felt the food was good but very over priced. I do not mind spending the money but it was not worth it. Pasta for 38.00/48.00? Also not enough salads and meat or fish entrees. I was disappointed overall.
The food and the service was wonderful.
We will be coming back!!!
Wonderfull food, great service, lovely setting; however, far too noisy. Something needs to be done with acoustics———I had to move tables as it was impossible to have a normal conversation. Hopefully management can rectify this problem
Superb, particularly with the waiter we got. He was the icing on the cake of our whole experience.
Took me back to Italy with its authenticity
Always very noisy there. Food goos
Awesome foods and hospitality
I had a dinner for my birthday.
Everything was perfect.
Brunch was amazing.
The food was fresh and perfect.
The service was under attentive. Felt like either they were under staffed or our server was forgetful.
Excellent brunch, thanks to the team at Buca! The service was very professional and excellent! Food was delicious. The sauces on our dishes were amazing! We would definitely return! Thank you!
The best Burrata pizza in town and the Branzino crudo is to die for. Love the gnocco frito as well. Service is so good, the whole eating experience is kicked up a notch. Definitely one of my favorites in Toronto.
A bit too noisy. Our dessert wasn’t very good. Traditional tiramisu would have been better. Pizza was fantastic.
Second visit to Buca and it was as good as I remembered it. Superb food, excellent service, beautiful restaurant.
Quite an experience. Excellent food and service.
It’s a perfect place for a nice family dinner. We really enjoyed.
Amazing pizza. Great service.
Buca ceases to amaze me. From the top notch service to the quality of the food. Definitely worth every penny. Thanks for a lovely lunch as always.
amazing place. great food. This is not your americanized italian place, true italian place with modern flare. Great wine lists all Italians.
Great! Fabulous breakfast options. Eggs Benedict were fabulous.
Unreal meal, amazing service and great hospitality!
Mala decoración , comida muy escasa y no de muy buen sabor . Precio muy alto para poca calidad
Excellent food. Lobster angel hair pasta, octopus, and branzino carpaccio were exceptional.
Thanks so much for making our night extra special. The DIY pasta was an incredible cherry on top!
The food was good but nothing great, very average pasta, and way over priced. Tiny food portions as well. Great atmosphere however and the service was very good. Would rather Terroni or Cibo any day over this place.
Very expensive and left hungry. The “caprese” salad was a very thinly sliced tomato w foam (nothing close to the density of cheese). They don’t bring complimentary bread and the fish, while delicious, is expensive and has no accompaniments. The pizza was excellent but also very pricey. If you have a small appetite and a big budget then I highly recommend this restaurant.
Branzino is hands down the best. The location is loud, but the food and device make it worth it.
Most enjoyable evening. The meal we had was outstanding for sure. Service was perfect. Next time we will sit at the bar. Gracie.
LOUD diners & superb Italian seafood at Buca. Enjoyed the appetizers of nodini (garlic soaked mobs of bread) with smoked fish. Moved on the the mains of the octopus (a must) while the family enjoyed cod. Finished with “pizelle” a house favourite of thin wafers, rhubarb and white chocolate. Delicious.
Servers were attentive & fast.
What to change to get 5 stars ... the resto was extremely loud so much so that we had trouble hearing our conversation. There are ways to dampen the sound - Buca, give it a try!
Overall very nice Food could be a little better
Nice spot in Yorkville with a great menu of items not seen elsewhere. Good was cooked perfectly and staff was great. I would recommend.
Great service and adjacent tables were very kind. Delightful dishes and a beautiful ambience.
Food and wine were magnificent and service impeccable. When a young woman wearing a cloud of cheap perfume ruining the taste of my wonderful main dish was seated near us, we were, upon my asking, discretely led to another table. Very much appreciated.
Based on previous occasions at this restaurant this evening was a complete disappointment.
Fantastic and personable service. Chef's tasting menu was unbelievable and worth every penny. Wine pairing was reasonably priced and complimented the courses very well. Will be back the next time we're in Toronto!
Went for our first Wedding Anniversary. The service was outstanding! Cleared every plate and piece of silverware as soon as we put it down.
Next-level attentive and gave us some amazing wine pairings with our meal. I had the Cornish hen while my husband had a seafood pasta. Absolutely melt-in your mouth good.
Ambience was warm, cozy and inviting. Even sitting close to other people you still feel very much catered to as if you were an honoured guest. They even put together a little pasta making kit for my husband and I to take home afterwards. Would definitely recommend!
Very little ambience...like a glorified cafeteria. The food was good but an overwhelming amount of fish dishes and few options that do not include fish. I get that they are going for a coastal fish theme but you need more variety. Lastly, the wine list was VERY expensive and prohibitive. I was prepared to have an expensive dinner but would have liked a menu that was more varied. Won't go again ..for me it was overated.
The service was absolutely amazing but the food was just not good? The kale appetizer is a joke 16$ for 5 pieces of leaves with hardly any dressing, the pasta carbonata just tasted like a cold egg? The eggplant wasn’t that tasty and was more on the fishy side (added sardines?). The only good thing I liked was the pizza which is the easiest thing to make.., disappointed & won’t be back!
