Buca Osteria & Bar is more than an Italian restaurant. In the spirit of the widely celebrated first location of Buca on King Street, the outpost in the heart of Yorkville is a place to be inspired by the innovation of the restaurant’s creative, artisanal fare, rooted in Italian tradition. Buca Osteria & Bar offers a broader selection of fresh and impeccably prepared seafood, in addition to their much loved pizzas, pastas, and cured meats. Critically acclaimed Executive Chef Rob Gentile and Chef de Cuisine Ryan Campbell create the authentic cuisine Buca has consistently been celebrated for, using the freshest carefully selected ingredients. Featuring sophisticated décor and open-concept kitchen, the restaurant’s warmth and inclusivity stand out, both of environment and ingredients.

Great service

Slow service from kitchen. Appetizers arrived 45 min after ordering, and only after prompting. Mains 45 min after that. It was not busy, so no excuse there. . Upsold on wine due to lack of availability. Staff not on point, attempting to fill sparkling water with tap water several times. Extremely disappointing given the cost of about $300 for light dinner for two. Won’t be back.

Fantastic service, delicious food. For fans of culinary "experiences". Fabulous prawn carpaccio. Also pleasantly surprised by dessert options.

Good service. The salad I ordered was tasty but difficult to cut into manageable portions for eating.

Thank you to the staff at being so accommodating for our family today- my father in law and brother in law both have ulcerative colitis and the staff was extremely accommodating with the menu to ensure they both enjoyed their experience. Brunch was fantastic! Thanks so much!

Everything from the moment we stepped in to the moment we left was spectacular. Wait staff is very pleasant and well informed about everything on the menu and passionate about the food. We were lucky to sit in front of kitchen and watch the magic of the chefs. It worked like a well oiled machine. The food was out of this word especially the branzino! We also had the buratta pizza, the buccatini carbonara and the tiramisu. All of which were great. Pizza was super thin crust (close to New York style and was crunchy from tip to crust). The buccatini were perfectly al dente with the raw hens egg and smoked pork guancciale bringing giving the dish a really rich and smooth taste. The tiramisu was non-traditional but was one of the best I’ve had! As we were celebrating our anniversary the waiter also gave us a little care package of cacio e Pepe to make at home which I thought was very sweet! Overall fantastic experience.

I wouldn't go for Sunday brunch. The carbonara pasta my husband ordered was good but I ordered a potato and egg plate called Frido and the potatos came burnt and 1 egg overcooked with not enough sauce. I think it was expensive, 22$ for this plate is not worth it.

This place should be the blueprint for all restaurants. Service and food is impeccable.

Buca never fails. The food, service and presentation are always outstanding.
Once you go once, you'll see why this restaurant is such a gem, and you'll be a regular.

The service was very slow. Our waiter didn’t come take our food order till we’ll over half an hour after we sat down, despite 2 requests for our order to be taken. By the time we ordered, a dish we wanted was apparently sold out. As well, we waisted a lot of time with our waiter or support staff trying to choose a good bottle of wine. After trying 4 or 5 different wines, we finally suggested they send the somalier over. I normally love Buca but they were not on their game this evening.

Food was very good -- service was exceptional -- try their take on a Vesper martini and you won't be disappointed.

We enjoyed the food very much and the wine list was good. However, our waiter, Andrew, was clearly impatient, and a touch annoyed with us, which was jarring. We felt rushed by him. Also, the young man who brought and poured our wine seemed confused. He could not seem to grasp that we all wanted to try both the red and the white wines but not at the same time. And he did not fill the glasses of the two people in our party who tasted the wines for approval. Finally, perhaps it was where we were seated, but it was very noisy. Too noisy for comfortable conversation. After an hour of straining to hear each other we were exhausted.
