   Appetizer came before drinks. Waited for drinks for 25 minutes. Halfway through service we had to ask multiple times for more water Asked for side condiments from our waiter while the Reginette sat cold. Had to ask another waiter after waiting for 5 minutes who brought it right away. Website menu not the same as in person. Ordered the last dish (duck) as we were eating the one we ordered before. Were not told it would take another 30 minutes. It was awful, sent it back to kitchen. Ambience was good and met expectations. But to be paying what we did for a special occasion was not acceptable.

   This was our first dining experience at Buca Yorkville. We have dined many times at the King Street location. We were blown away by the exceptional food, wine, and most importantly, the service. Our server Emily was amazing. So friendly and so professional. The sommelier gave an amazing recommendation for wine, which was outstanding. Buca never disappoints. So glad to have finally had the opportunity to dine at the Yorkville location.

   Buca is amazing. Everything you order is fantastic. We love Buca on Scollard. Always have a great meal there. The chef is outstanding. you can never go wrong with a meal there. We highly recommend it.

   Outstanding food and service. One of the best meals I’ve had in Toronto in a long time. Food is pricey, wine is very pricey. Very extensive wine list. Had trouble finding anything under $200 and ended up spending way out of my comfort zone on the wine because couldn’t find anything within reach.

   This was one of the better dinning experiences I've had in a long time. From the first glass of wine till the last bite of desert the quality of food was top notch and impeccable. I'd highly recommend burrata pizza, sea bass seared, and gnocchi. Deserts chocolate sorbet and tiramisu.

   Food was amazing definitely recommended. I have 2 criticisms, there was 1 dish of dried fish and a accompanying carbohydrate (it was not good). The second criticism is the wine portion which was so small (the poor was barely a half a glass). Be prepared for a expensive bill but a really fine meal. Especially good for special occasions.

    Everything was delicious. Very gourmet and unique dishes. Not the typical you see in every Italian restaurant. Must tries: branzino with lemon and Prosecco app. Scallops. Lobster pasta. Pizzelle tower dessert.

    We had a great birthday celebration. The food was wonderful and the service exceptional. Marco was everything you want in a server. Courteous. Attentive great personality and just made the visit everything it should be. Everyone who came to our table was wonderful and helpful and so pleasantly attentive. This restaurant is exemplary to the industry. At the end, we’ were surprised with a parting gift (food) in honour of the bday girl. Wow, just wow! The food was delicious and don’t forget to try the tiramisu. Thank you for a great night out.

    Try sharing instead of ordering your own meals. We shared four apps and one main. Perfect amount. Definitely try the raw sea bass from Cyprus carved table side with lemon an olive oil. Order bread for dipping.

    Some of the most consistent, friendly, informative, professional, knowledgeable, and skilled staff ever experienced. I was hosting my President and VP from Miami and NYC and they said they had never had such good device in their cities. ☺️ Also, the food was exceptionally delicious and presented perfectly. The gentleman that did our branzino is very talented!

    As we stepped into Buca Osteria and Bar, my husband and I were met with warm lights in a large modern but cosy space and a flurry of activity. It was a Monday evening, and I was surprised how busy the restaurant was. Our server appeared immediately, with menus which he proceeded to explain to us. Unfortunately some of his explanations were lost because we were not yet ready to wrap our minds around all the offerings and because the ambient sound level was rather high. Nonetheless, the server checked up on us several times and gradually, we were able to ask intelligent questions, get good answers, and make some appealing choices. We began with something unfamiliar-sounding: salumi di mare, tiny little tidbits of smoked/ cured fish served on a large platter, with a side dish of puffed balls that reminded us of Indian pani puri, meant to be filled with an accompanying eggplant mixture. I was especially thrilled with the balls filled with eggplant. We were also delighted by the side order of nodini (little snail-shaped breads, done in garlic, olive-oil and rosemary; we had ordered this to come with our appetizers and we nibbled on them throughout the rest of our meal. For the main course, I had a seafood pasta (cresc tajat ai frutti di mare) while my husband had a pasta dish done with wild boar. We shared a dish of cavolo (kale) for vegetable and sampled each other's pastas. Everything was intensely and uniquely flavourful - something I have often found to be lacking, even in big-name restaurants. With our server's help, we chose glasses of Pinot Gris and LaMagia Rosso to accompany our meals, and we also had a most refreshing bottle of San Pellegrino sparkling water. To finish, we ordered double espressos and a Baba au Rhum, a dessert we have not seen anywhere for decades. Just before leaving, we were brought a little surprise gift: a box with ingredients (including fresh pasta) and instructions for a delicious yet simple pasta dish, Cacio e pepe. Thank you, Buca!

    Pizza and Charcuterie are safe bets. Pasta (in this case - lobster and angle hair pasta) is often heavy handed and sauce heavy. Nothing delegate or superb here. Didn’t eat all of it as a result. Expensive too. Buca seems to have lost their touch.

    Haven’t been since Rob Gentile left the franchise’ and was looking forward to seeing if it was able to keep up the high end appeal after his departure. we were a table of 4 for New Year’s Eve dinner. We enjoyed the lobster pasta, gnocchi, braised octopus, ostriche, and large crudo misto. we did feel the crudo misto needed some Mignonette and or/ some type of sauces for the oysters and shrimp. The olive oil and lemon weren’t enough for such a large portion. the service portion lacked a little regarding drinks. Our server didn’t seem as quick to cue into asking us for new drink orders when we finished cocktails. we had to ask for new drinks when he came by vs being asked. Overall not bad, just need to be a bit more attentive to the table’s situation, whether new drinks need to be ordered etc. If the server doesn’t ask quick enough there’s a profit loss there for Buca. What could have been 4 drinks each at the table ended up being 2 drinks each.

    We had made a reservation for my wife's birthday. First time at the restaurant. The staff never made any reference to the booking or occasion, didn't ask. We ended up telling our server that it was her birthday and he said that he knew and was waiting to see if we would order dessert. Ended up getting 2 small almond cookies with a candle as a birthday treat. Dissapointed.

    Please see attached photo for the absolute disrespect we encountered eating at this restaurant. This is the same dish, both priced at 45 dollars taken a couple of years apart. We were served literal scraps and it is embarrassing that this was even given the go to hit the dining room floor. Absolutely ludicrous experience. The bill was over 530 dollars and we left hungry. Go somewhere else. Thanks!

    The service was ok. Our food was cold, and the server & general manager argued that it was not cold but supposed to be served warm. I was thrown off as they obviously didn’t try it… the server asked if I want it warmed up or if I want a new one. I just felt for the money I spent, they treated me and my guest poorly. The sea bass was the best part, that probably saved the night.

    Our meal at Buca was great, pasta was extremely fresh and flavourful and the pizza was amazing. The crust has a nice crunch to it that I Haven’t had at other Italian restaurants. Since we celebrated our anniversary there the host gave us fresh pasta and ingredients to make a meal at home which was a very nice gesture!

    Interesting choices, fish charcuterie board to share, perfectly prepared European bass and outstanding deserts. We tried the Tiramisù and the sepia and Chocolat cake, both were memorable!
