    The dim sum and appetizers are all phenomenal!! Going as a group we were able to try nearly everything from these sections. The entrees were also very very good, including the charred beef, shrimp lo mein, pad Thai, and tuna tataki!

    This place is a real mixed bag. It's beautiful space and very loud. The food was all good -- nothing great or memorable. Our server was very nice but the service was slow and disjointed. I'd recommend it to someone in the area but would not recommend anyone go out of their way to patronize.

    We were there celebrating two birthdays. Our server Faith was wonderful. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of food, some of which was great and others lackluster. The bao buns were great and the small calamari salad was huge and those who had it said delicious. The spareribs were good as well as the edamame dumplings, although the way those were served made it hard to fully enjoy. Each dumpling should be on a individual type spoon so you can enjoy the soup part as well as the dumpling. The way they were served in one large bowl with only one spoon made it so the soup part is left at the bottom. I did request extra spoons from the expediter but they never came. The worst part of our appetizer course was somehow an item was switched to another in the computer and served to us. It had shellfish in it and that wasn’t known when someone at our table who doesn’t eat shellfish ate it. The sashimi was good but the tuna tartare thing was really bad. The entrees we had were the duck, which I was told was delicious, the miso cod, which was fishy, the whole fish which was tasteless, the lobster fried rice, which was okay but lacking flavor. The best dish was the black pepper beef, it was delicious and elegantly served. We had all the sides and all were quite good especially the eggplant and the wasabi mashed potatoes. It was a nice evening but it felt a little stale for a Starr restaurant.

    Wasn’t impressed by Buddakan we decided to go from a lot of recommendations but it just wasn't what we were expecting. The food was just okay nothing special or rememberable. We went during restaurant week and ordered the spicy rock fish bao buns, ginger and chicken dumplings, ribs, lemon sesame chicken, shrimp pad Thai, and desserts. The best were the ribs and what we received were the end pieces and had a lot of fat and cartilage. Just thought at a restaurant like this they wouldn’t serve those pieces. I did not like the lemon sesame chicken.. the chicken was good but the lemon sauce was inedible to me it tasted artificial and was really overpowering. We enjoyed the pad thai but everything else was meh for the price I wouldn't go back.

    Food excellent, service excellent. They truly looked at the Open Table reservation and were ready for us and even had the chair removed so I could just slide up in my wheelchair.

    I would have given 5 stars if it hadn’t been for the noise level, which was off the charts. You could not have a conversation with the person across the table. For that reason I wouldn’t go back. The food and service, however was very good. I was there during restaurant week and it was very busy. Maybe it’s not usually that noisy?

    To me, it’s the best restaurant in Philadelphia. It’s a bit expensive but you get value for your dollar. The portions are a good size and the taste of the food is out of this world

    This was my first time going. Excellent Service ! Nymiyou was my waiter, she was superb! I hope I spelled it right. I will go again. Clean, attentive and presentation was unique, different and fulfilled.

    My boyfriend and I went last night for restaurant week and everything was amazing. We did have to wait for our reservations for 7:30pm till 8:00pm which I expected to do for such a busy night. Although it was a Monday it still was restaurant week and they bought us a round of drinks to make up for it which was so kind of them. The drinks were well balanced and delicious and our food was so tasty and rich in flavor. We started with the edamame dumplings and the soup dumplings which were to die for, followed by the sashimi and the fire roasted edamame. Our next course was the tossed ribeye with the birds nest and the shrimp pad thai. I’m super thankful that our server suggested the beef cause it was out of this world. Our dessert selection was the doubts and the hazelnut cake which were delicious as well but I definitely was a little disappointed in them after our other 2 courses. All in all I would definitely come back because our server was amazing I wish I knew her name but I watched her be efficient informative and kind. Definitely an amazing server and 1st time experience.

    The food was excellent--an impressive achievement given the Restaurant Week crowd--but even at 6:30 on a Monday night the noise level was way above "energetic": our table of four had to learn forward and lip-read to converse. My mistake: Never again during Restaurant Week!

    Amazing to try Buddakan in Philly. From the time we dropped the car at the front until we left, Service was on point. I have to say the only time I was just a tad disappointed was when I asked (who I can imagine was the manager)for coffee, he left me waiting! Had dessert course and no coffee. Started with rock shrimp bao buns =delicious, Dumplings = great flavor, but a little hard on pasta after cooled , Sea Bass = Fantastic, Pork Loin = All I have to say is “Thise Onion Rings are soooooooocrunchy” pork cooked well and tasty. Very chill ambiance. Perfect for a wonderful dinner. I have to say the young man at the valet who took my car , went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Including bringing my cell phone to my table for me when he realized I had left it in the car. = Awesome!!!!!

    The service and food was great. But only having one bathroom for men and women to share is very horrible. I'm so happy that I had a lysol spray in bag. The restaurant needs to fix that issue before someone calls LNI MAYBE I should.

    Dined in for restaurant week, I liked how my partner and I could choose our own meals (not family style) we shared the roasted edamame, rock shrimp bao buns as appetizers, sea bass, and shrimp pad Thai for entree and the donuts and coconut mousse for dessert. All the food was delicious! To drink I got the honor cocktail and my partner got the Hitachino Nest Dai Dai beer. Nothing bad to say about anything we ordered!

    Treated our friends to dinner during restaurant week. They were able to accommodate us with a spacious corner booth, since we had a 6month old baby with us, that scored this restaurant major points from the beginning. Dinner was delicious, we ordered shrimp bao buns, chicken ginger dumplings, pad thai and Chilean sea bass(which my picky husband actually raved about) Doughnuts for dessert was just enough, leaving us satisfied but not stuffed. Unfortunately I cannot recall our server’s name but he was very friendly, attentive and did not rush us. We will definitely return
