   Butcher & Singer is a Philly staple that we always make sure to visit when in town. Each time the food, service and ambiance seems to improve. Our waiter, Brian, was outstanding — knowledgeable about the menu and drink selections, personable and made us laugh throughout dinner. If you visit (and you should ASAP), be sure to ask for Brian for the full experience!

   I had the pleasure of dining at Butcher & Singer in Philly last night, and I must say that the experience was truly amazing. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable - attentive but not overbearing. John was my waiter. He was great. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a night date or solo dinner. The standout dish for me was the salmon. Cooked to perfection, it was nicely toasted on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. It was one of the best salmon dishes I've ever had, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who visits the restaurant. The tuna tartare appetizer was also exceptional, with a perfect blend of flavors that left me wanting more. And let's not forget the biscuits that they bring to the table before the meal - they were simply the best I've ever had, especially when paired with the honey butter. Overall, I would highly recommend Butcher & Singer to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Philly. The food, service, and ambiance were all outstanding, and I can't wait to come back again soon.

   ALWAYS a great experience. We go every year for our Anniversary. Service is over the top. Our waiter this year (Tall Brian) was a madman with that crumb scraper! Super attentive, anticipated everything. The food was spectacular and the drinks even better. The bartender heard us mention our anniversary and poured us champagne on the house. We absolutely love this place.

   Absolutely perfect from the moment we stepped into the beautiful space to the last bite of the best food we have eaten quite some time! The service was impeccable with a nice blend of professionalism and friendliness. Our food came out very quickly and perfectly timed from the onion soup through the dessert. Our steaks were extremely well prepared and flavored. They cook them exactly as they are ordered, unlike many places where you have to ask for it more rare than you like to get it right. They are spot on. The sides are creative, unique, and complimented our steaks nicely. The atmosphere…very much fine dining, but not in a snobbish way. The music was jazz style and loud enough to appreciate it but soft enough to hear each other in normal indoor voices. We loved everything about the place, and it was worth every penny. We will be making this restaurant a regular stop every time we visit Philadelphia.

   We had an excellent meal at Butcher & Singer with professional service amid the ambiance of an old bank and financial services building. A perfectly-prepared Delmonico steak was a highlight of the evening, but we wanted for nothing as we celebrated our Anniversary. Highly recommended.

    Food was absolutely outstanding. Our waiter Chris was the perfect amount of attentive and personable without being overbearing. The sommelier Michael personally brought our bottle of wine to the table. The 22oz porterhouse was easy to split for 2 and was one of the best steaks I’ve had. It lived up to the hype!

    We went for my birthday. While pricey, the experience and food were excellent. I had a dry aged sirloin with truffle butter which took the steak to next level. Service was great.

    Excellent experience. Waiter knew what he was doing and was a pro at his job. I felt well taken care of by the whole staff. I expressed that I wanted a softer steak, but I think mine was still too hard to chew for me (Delmonico). So in the future, I'll make sure to get something else. Delmonico was cooked beautifully though. Carrot and mushroom sides were so good. Baked Alaska was delicious.

    Thank you for a wonderful evening! The soft shell crab, porterhouse, & hash brown were some of the best we’ve ever had. The porterhouse for 2 was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Our bartender Zack, sever Jared, & sommelier Michael were spectacular and offered top notch hospitality. We will be back!

    It is definitely worth EVERY penny. It was a birthday dinner for my boyfriend. We shared the 50 oz Tomahawk steak. We ordered the stuffed hashbrowns, mushrooms and onions, broccolini and mashed potatoes. We loved it!

    What kind of server comes to clear your plates and them puts them back down on your table? Our server decided to take our dirty plates and silverware to then ask our party what we had ordered. The server should know what to take based off our tab. When we said we have our mains next, they put our USE silverware back on our table. Later, when they came with our sides, the server put his hand on one of our guest's shoulders and hushed him. Why? SO HE COULD EXPLAIN WHAT WE ORDERED. I was livid that at this quality of a restaurant, that the server hushes us so that they can talk. When we decided to leave without ordering dessert, the server has the nerve to say "I guess we did our job to fill you up. Would be upset if yall were still hungry." We came to celebrate my husband's graduation, and were blown away by.... how poor the service was.

    Prepare to go back in time for a classic steakhouse experience. Fresh, well prepared food and impeccable service with a 1930’s vibe/esthetic. Every bite and sip was utterly delicious! Flaky hot biscuits. Oysters Rockafeller was herbaceous, crumbly and buttery. I had the lamb with truffle butter and companion had the surf and turf. For sides we had mashed potatoes and broccolini. The Manhattan was a great cocktail - 5 versions to choose from. We had baked Alaska for dessert; it was light and not to sweet. The meringue had a melty soft interior.     We have been here several times. Most amazing experience each time period the dominico stakes are to die for. The stuffed hash Browns are amazing. Service is top notch. They go above and beyond for you. Cannot wait to return here again. We came this time to celebrate my son's birthday my daughter's graduation from college and Mother's Day.
