    New York sirloin good, but a home BBQ would be better - might actually be the meat supplier. Potatoes that came with it were tasteless - needed seasoning at a minimum and had the texture of Sherrif instant. Sweetbreads on veal were overcooked. Veal escalope breaded, but more or less flavourless. Foie gras good. Octopus excellent. Salad excellent. Tortellini very good. Madeleines fabulous. Service quiet, professional, present but not over-the-shoulder with one dropped ball: over-poured the wine, leaving 2 glasses with red wine crystals obtrusive in the bottom of the glass. Many better options in the city.

    Second time this has happened: eggs benedict completely raw! Absolutely ok if the yolk is still liquid, but the white stuff should at least be a bit cooked! Very poor presentation, have had better at ANY breakfast dinner. Constant interruptions by the waiter as we were trying to have a business conversation.

    The service was great, perhaps the best in the city. We asked for a quiet table, and the request was fulfilled. Warm buns and better preceded the meal, and were welcome. Few restaurants do this anymore. I had the veal escalope, which was tougher that expected -- overcooked, perhaps. It came with a bunch of sweetbreads, which were tasteless. It also came with morels and slugs of minced veal, which were wonderful. The scallop dish was perfect. The rhubarb dessert was disappointing; we left most of rhubarb.

    I have been dining at Cafe Boulud Toronto for many years. It is unfailingly consistent. Unpretentious food executed perfectly every time. The wait staff are as good as it gets. Never disappointed here.

    The servers and manager went above and beyond to make my mom's birthday lunch special. Also the rotisserie chicken salad is delicious! And the dessert they brought out (raspberry chocolate cake was the perfect way to end our meal) Thank you!

    One of my favourite places to go for a special brunch. The service is fantastic, and even though we aren’t there in 2 years, our server remembered us. The prix fix brunch has a great amount of options - but come hungry. I like the addition of the ham and gruyere savoury crepe, and loved the beef tartar. Make sure to order the beignets!

    Beautiful experience. Everything beautifully executed. My one disappointment was the Cod with chorizo. Chorizo was dry and leant no flavour to the dish. Beautiful presentation on this main but no flavour impact. All other aspects of the meal were well done.

    I had heard this restaurant was great, I did not expect it to be one of the best dining experiences of my life though. When I say my husband and I were blown away, I mean we can’t stop talking about how amazing this place was! Our server Deon was so kind and attentive. The head bartender Sebastian has put together an incredible cocktail menu. And on top of that, the food was fantastic! We did the duck for two and the steak tartare and didn’t think we could eat anymore afterwards, but I’m glad we tried the dessert. The madelines were superb! We’re adding this to our “must go” list for any time we are back in Toronto!

    Lovely evening from the time we were greeted at the entrance. The food was really lovely. We had the charcuterie board - wagon rolled around and the most charming young gentleman from France served us and told us about all the items which had all been made in house. We had lovely cocktails before dinner and then both of us very much enjoyed our entrees. It was a very elegant and refined but accessible evening, ie not stuffy at al. the room had a great buzz and the service was superlative. An excellent experience.

    Reception and food servers were excellent and helpful. Seating was in a long row in a bench format which was a bit sterile. Tasting Menu - Amuse-Bouche were excellent - Crevette-Avocat were excellent - Poulpe was tough - Foie gras was extra smooth but lacked taste - Tartare de Boeuf was excellent - Saumon Royale and Coquille St. Jacques were average - Tournedos were not as tender as expected - Desserts were good but not exceptional There was a focus on sauces for each of the courses. There were all good to okay but overall didn't add a great deal to the taste. Good food should be able to stand on its own for taste in any case. For the price had hoped for more.

    Stepping foot into Cafe Boulud, we were greeted by a band of merry staff members that instantly turned our lunch from regular to legendary! It was as if we'd crossed the threshold of our own homes, with the added bonus of no dishes to wash afterward. The atmosphere cuddled us like our favorite blankie on a chilly evening, and boy, was it the perfect backdrop for the feast about to unfold. Now, about the edible art we were served — to say that it was anything less than a culinary carnival would be a grave understatement. It felt like each plate that sashayed to our table was in the running for a "Best in Flavor" award. The chefs back there must've been wizards, or at least attended Hogwarts, because with each bite, we were bewitched, body and soul. We didn't just eat; we embarked on a gastronomic odyssey that had us sailing the high seas of deliciousness, reluctant to dock back to reality. By the end, our bellies were full, our spirits high, and we left Cafe Boulud not merely stuffed, but spellbound.     First time attending the Easter Brunch. Highly impressed. Service was impeccable as always. The 3 buffet stations were amazing ontop of the regular 2 set course. I left so full I needed a nap.

    Enjoyed our brunch very much. Attentive service from Iana. We were all quite full after the two-course menu and a couple of small desserts, so didn't take advantage of the carving or waffle stations. Anna, the sommelier, is wonderful also!

    Dear Café Boulud Team, I wanted to extend my sincerest gratitude for the extraordinary dining experience I had at your establishment recently. From the moment I walked in until the final sip of coffee, every aspect of the evening was impeccable. First and foremost, I must commend your mixologists for crafting the delightful “Springtime Bliss” cocktail. Its refreshing blend of Casamigos Blanco, Pernod, lime, agave, Thai basil, key lime leaf, and egg white truly encapsulated the essence of spring. The culinary journey continued with the exquisite appetizer, the Vichyssoise | Moules. The warmth of the potato leek soup paired perfectly with the succulent Prince Edward Island mussels, creating a symphony of flavours that delighted my palate. The pièce de résistance was undeniably the Cabillaud Noir | Chorizo entrée. The roasted Canadian black cod was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying lingot beans, housemade chorizo, rapini, Marcona almonds, and chilli threads elevated the dish to new heights of culinary excellence. Lastly, the special dessert of March 2024, Rhubarb | Lime, was a delightful conclusion to the meal. The poached rhubarb, lime roll cake, and vanilla mousse showcased the creativity and skill of your pastry team. Furthermore, I would like to thank Dennis S, my server, whose attentiveness and professionalism enhanced the dining experience.     6 adults enjoyed Sunday Brunch today at Café Boulud. The service was exceptional from the people that greeted us and those that waited on our table. We were not rushed and were able to enjoy lots of great conversation between the appetizers, entrées and desserts. My husband and I are lactose intolerant and our server was able to guide us through the menu and help us choose items that were delicious and met our dietary restrictions.

    Having never tried the brunch at Café Boulud, I remedied that on a blustery March afternoon. After a brisk walk, the warm welcome and familiar ambience were restorative. I consulted the prix-fize menu. The challenge was arriving at a decision among so many possibilities. A flute of champagne helped me in my deliberations. I started with the onion tart. It was presented under a layer of a creamy sauce that did not disguise the onion or the savoury lardons that were hidden underneath. The pastry was light and made a good textural counterpoint to the rich sauce. For the next dish, I selected the omelette. Plated quite simply, it was a minimalist presentation that let the ingredients shine. Light and fluffy egg and sauteed spinach are the essence of the dish. A refreshing green salad accompanied the omelette. It was lightly dressed, allowing the greens and thin slices of radish to reveal their taste. The crème brûlée had a pineapple component that balanced the richness of the dessert with tart fruity notes. The dessert was nested in a bird's nest of very light pastry that combined with the creamy interior of the dish to produce an effect on the palate of much more than a simple crème brûlée. Service was attentive, despite the seasonal time change. Staff were in fine form.

    Service was outstanding and the ambience was wonderful. A great place to go for a special occasion. From the dishes we ordered, we loved the salads, the desserts, the steak and the cod. The caramel ice cream and profiteroles was remarkable, and the whiskey ice cream was amazing. They obviously have a very talented pastry chef! Our least favorite dishes included the pasta with the lamb ragu - which had too much tomato paste in the sauce, the octopus which was overcooked and rubbery, and the foie gras which tasted like butter with a hint of liver. Although there were few moderately priced wines on the menu, the sommelier was excellent at recommending decent, moderately priced options. Enjoy!

    I enjoy having dinner at Boulud's Toronto restaurant whenever I visit. This time was no exception to my experience. I opted for the well curated tasting menu, as it offered a solution to a situation where choosing from so many enticing dishes was a challenge From the amuse-bouche to the tender brioche that served as a prelude to the tasting menu, I was delighted by the prawns, terrine, scallops, beef and tarte tatin that were just enough to appreciate the dish, but not too much to be considered excessive. The wine pairings were suitable and well presented by the server and the sommelière. I found only one wine that, while good, would not have been my choice for the dish in question. While the tasting menu is not the most frugal choice at Boulud, it is worth the investment in time and treasure to experience the talented kitchen and serving staff at their best. I have to mention my delight at the way the restaurant maintains data on customer preferences. I visit Toronto several times a year. Each time I dine at Boulud, I am impressed that they consult their data to know my preferred cocktail, table, and mineral water. It's all in my digital information, but the welcome is impressive in a world that seems to live only in the moment. Kudos to the staff at Cafe Boulud.
