This was our third visit to Cafe Boloud.
Everything was great!
We both got the French Toast and it was delicious. Would definitely return to try their breakfast menu again.
The meal we had was exquisite. I highly recommend the foie gras, rotisserie chicken, french onion soup and molten lava cake. The highlight was the foie gras two ways. They also have a great sommelier that recommend a nice French white wine.
Our waiter Zachary was kind, attentive and knowledgeable. I would return for sure and I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal, warm atmosphere and friendly service.
Food was tasty but service was slow and not amazing.
Service extremely slow. Entrees served separately with 2 people having to wait at least 5 minutes for their entrees after the other 3 were served. Entrees were cold.
Very disappointed as this is one of our favourite establishments.
Excellent service, masterful food
Dining experience was very good, but could have been outstanding if we were served promptly. We waited 10 minutes to be seated and almost 20 minutes for our server after we were seated, yet the restaurant only had a few diners inside. Don't let this deter you from a fantastic meal because the food quality is excellent.
It is expensive, but the food is amazing! I had the short ribs with red-wine poached eggs, served on sour dough toast and the stick toffee pudding for dessert.
Terrible service. They sat as at a table that was too small even though they had larger tables - we asked to be moved but they said they were reserved. No one was ever seated in those tables during our entire meal. Also, you can't order a la carte...you need to order a min of two items a dessert or appetizer along with your entrée. My main meal (eggs benedict) were enough - I didn't want a dessert or appetizer. We ended up ordering food we didn't even want. Poor service. Manager asked how we enjoyed ourselves - I was honest...not rude and her response was sorry and walked off. Worst Four Seasons experience of my life!
Excellent French cuisine. I would say the price point is fairly extravagant given the size of the dishes.
One of the best dining experienes my wife and I have ever enjoyed! From beginning to end the entire time we spent at the restaurant was truly wonderful. Many thanks!! kp
Their brunch special for the holidays was way too expensive for what they offered. 2-course was $66 plus Tax = $74.58 and 3-course was $74 plus tax = $83.62. This wasn't a "white table cloth" restaurant and the service was okay. I wouldn't spend money here for brunch. I was very disappointed.
The wrapped pastry pigeon was really good but wasn't served with anything else on the plate. It was off the menu because they had an event the night before and they had some leftovers. The spelt bread layered with soft cheese, fruit and maple-pecans was very hard to cut through (bread was very stale).
Always excellent. Great food and great service in beautiful restaurant.
Wonderful place for a weekend brunch or a get together with friends/family.
New Year’s Eve. Food was excellent but music too loud for fine dining.
A great evening! Food was amazing! GF options for my wife! Service was outstanding as well. Overall a great experience!
Simply the best in Toronto
Wonderful service and good French cuisine. Good for Americans to visit who are looking for a unique experience
Went for festive brunch with a girl friend on Dec29 and food was beyond awesome! Ordered mimosas, beef tartare, eggs meurette (foie gras, two poached eggs, braised ribs in a sourdough bread slice with red wine sauce) it was sooo yummy! Ended with molten chocolate cake. Great way to celebrate my birthday!
Wonderful as usual.
Birthday lunch for my sister was excellent. We enjoyed an exvelkent meal with the usual quality service. Our desserts were beautifully presented and we also enjoyed the birthday Madelines. Always a treat to spend special occasions at Cafe Boulud. Happy New Year to all.
Wasn’t my first time and definitely won’t be my last. We go there on a regular basis because Boulud’s dishes are always outstanding. The place is cozy and the service is always great. The prices are more than fair and all meals are delicious.
Excellent meal, service and wines. I would recommend it highly
Food quality taste not so impressive! Meat overcooked. Dessert soso
Thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas celebration at Cafe Boulud! The three-course offerings were varied with something for everyone. The foie gras, kuri soup, steak tartare, venison and duck confit were all beautifully prepared and presented. Everything was delicious. The desserts were exquisite--a treat for the eyes and palate! Excellent wine pairing suggested by Jules. Cremildo provided gracious and attentive service.
Perfect Christmas Eve dinner!
Generally the quality of the food was up good, especially the steak just melts in your mouth. French onion soup and Baked Alaska didn't disappoint. One thing that could have improved was service. We had our server but he was too busy serving other tables and didn't check up on us every now and then.
The staff are wonderful, entirely professional. Excellent food.
The waiter was excellent and the food delicious. We will eat there again
Truffle special so a special menu - and tournedos Rossini a very special taste treat, perfectly prepared, exactly as ordered.
Didn’t realize it was a fixed price menu, which is my own fault for not reading ahead. Appetizer and brunch main for 66$. Generous portions for the mains, however appetizers were quite small. Service and ambiance was great
One of its main menu ''canard'' is always superb.
My first dining experience at Cafe Boulud after thoroughly enjoying their lunch menu on several occasions. Their dining menu didn’t disappoint. Thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience. For appetizers, we ordered the beetroot salad and calamar frit. Our mains were the seared tuna and rotisserie chicken. Food, presentation, ambience and service were outstanding. I have to acknowledge Deon who helped make our experience so enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit!
Disappointing lunch, food was mediocre and the waiter absent and not attentive.
For the prices on this menu service should be outstanding all the time. And then one might notice a little less the banal flavors of the food
(Copied from Google review) On Sunday afternoon we attended a highly enjoyable Tafelmusik concert and decided to have dinner in Toronto before returning home. We chose Café Boulud in the Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville, based upon strong online recommendations. While my wife went for vegetarian offerings I chose the flat iron steak with frites which was attractively plated and included Béarnaise sauce on the side rather than soaking the steak and fries. For dessert we shared a delicious Calvados apple soufflé. It is so nice to see light (weight not calories) desserts on the menu - a perfect ending for a great meal. The service in this restaurant is first rate. (this venue has WiFi)
Absolutely loved it. Lovely Sunday afternoon brunch...many choices ...delicious.
Our friends enjoyed it as well. We Are from niagara on the lake and totally enjoyed our visit
To the four seasons cafe Boulud.
Service is excellent, food is not good, not matching the price at all.
Fine if you want something fast/convenient. Service is akin to calling an offshore tech help centre: fake smiles and a lot of "thank you sir, yes sir, yes of course sir" without any actual knowledge of actual serving etiquette.
This restaurant is lovely. I have been to his restaurants in New York and Las Vegas. The atmosphere is very classy and chic. The service is impeccable. Our food came to the table less than hot and when we brought this to the attention of the waiter our food was promptly taken back and re-done. The executive chef came out himself to apologize. The manager who is French, also came up to say that they were very sorry. This is what a restaurant should be. We will definitely be back. The food was outstanding. We had the house made pasta with truffles and the flat iron steak. Merci for a lovely evening.
The staff were really nice and the service was great !! We got the pecan praline Mille-feuille and it was probably the best dessert I’ve ever tried .
