This is a favorite restaurant! The food is outstanding! Last week, we had a private area for our office holiday party (10 couples), and Eddy was our waiter. It was the most fabulous time, and he was superb. He timed everything out perfectly. Try this spot, and don’t forget to make a reservation!
We picked the perfect place for dinner after the opera. Always a wonderful meal and friendly service. One of our absolute favorites. Thx
Great food! Great service. But super loud in there. Very hard to have a conversation with other people at the table.
Have been to Cafe Lucci many times. My husband loved the Pollo Pepperoncino! Also, enjoyed the giardiniera and garlic spread they give you with the bread. The arugula salad was yummy. The only complaint was the eggplant parm. It was tough! I should have sent it back because I really didn't enjoy it which was a bummer. Eggplant should be melt in your mouth not chewy. Oh well...
We have been regulars at Cafe Lucci for twenty-plus years. Their food is ALWAYS consistently delicious, fresh, beautiful, and served hot. Cocktails and wine are mixed well and generously poured. And staff is friendly, energetic and always eager to please. It is not inexpensive to dine here, but it is always worth it and always thoroughly satisfying.
Service was fantastic. Food uneven. Caprese sslsd was great, linguine with clam sauce not.
We really like coming here. Always have a great meal. The only thing that is tough. Is the noise level. Really loud, hard to have Conversation while you are enjoying your meal.
We know if we pick Cafe Lucci it will always be amazing food in a fun environment with staff that love to take care of you.
It's a fabulous restaurant -- one of my absolute favorites because they make you feel special and individual. The wine, cocktails, and food are always top-notch. It's expensive but it's worth it. Lynn is fabulous at the bar. Bobby is always a grateful host.
A bit noisy but service and food excellent
Date night with my wife. Friendly service, nice food and show stopping wine list
We met a group from work for lunch. The food was delicious. I ordered the fettuccine Milano, it had just the right amount of spice. Our server Conrad was great.
Excellent food, our waiter was outstanding. He knew the menu by heart and was a professional server! All three of our entrees were superb - eggplant, salmon and veal. We’ll definitely be back!
Excellent experience. Had to wait about 15 minutes for our 7:30 reservation then was offered a bad table which I declined. Got a better table and the wait staff, food and drink were excellent
We waited 45 minutes for our reservation at 7:00. The food was good - eggplant Parmesan, chicken Vesuvio, veal dish and chicken Parmesan. My favorite was the garlic spread with the fresh bread. It was very load but overall we had a nice dinner.
I'm not sure what your survey means by "energetic" as it refers to the noise level, but I can honestly say that the noise was a detriment to our overall eating experience at this restaurant. The noise level was so loud, that it was virtually impossible to have a conversation with others at our table. We purposely did not order dessert, as we were anxious to leave this VERY noisy environment.
While the food was very good, the dining experience was terrible. There were too many tables packed into a space that could not comfortably accommodate so many people. My chair was hitting against the chair of another patron seated at the table behind me. It was so tight in the room, that our waiter could not easily walk down the side of our table to take our orders. Instead, he had to walk around other tables to reach our other dining guests to take their order.
I am sure that the capacity of the dining room exceeded the town's fire safety code.
Unfortunately, this will be our first and last time dining at Cafe Lucci.
Fantastic, delicious food. Our go to New Year's Eve spot.
Cafe Lucci is an exceptional restaurant. It has an extensive
Wine list and fantastic desserts
It’s always busy on New Year’s Eve, but we felt a little neglected as a single couple and a little younger. Us younger folk tip well too! Besides that food and wine selection were both very good!
Excellent restaurant with great food and service. 1 star because the actual owner cleared our table before our meal was over in order to turn the table over.
On a busy New Year's Eve, we had a brief wait and were then ushered to our comfortable relatively quiet table, served well and enjoyed a delicious meal topped with a cannoli to celebrate the new year. Every table was full - a testament to good management and professional food preparation. We'd be glad to return.
The service was fantastic for a new years eve night. 3 different managers came by to make sure everything was ok. The food was delicious certainly will go back for more dinners there.
Lovely authentic Italian food and the very best service.
Cafe Lucci is one of our local favorites. We love it so much, we were engaged there.
The food never disappoints. The service is top notch. Free Valet! The staff truly treats you like family.
New Years Eve
We really enjoyed our ny eve dinner. Bobby (the owner) picked a reasonable bottle of wine for our dinner. We will be back.
Consistently outstanding. Everything we have there is excellent
One of our favorite restaurants. My girlfriend lived the sea bass. Can be a little loud.
Great food and service. A little pricey but it is worth it.
Service and food was outstanding! Great experience. That was our first time there.
We got together with family for a mid week dinner between Christmas and New Years. We were 10 adults and they gave us a table in a nook that was quiet and perfect for conversation. Service was impeccable, appropriate, conscientious and never felt Interruptive.we did not feel rushed at all. Menu is varied and authentic. Huge wine list. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Portions for some dishes are very large.
We had dinner on Christmas Eve. Very busy, but the food and service were great. Conrad our server took care of us.
Very Bad Experience--
We booked a table on Christmas Eve, expecting that the usual holiday snafus might happen.
Unfortunately, the experience was awful. We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time, after being seated, we waited 10 more minutes for a waiter--without even menus. We the waiter came, they apologized and said there were no menus available! There is a big clue: they were dramatically overbooked.
I've had very good experience with Cafe Lucci in the past, but this will be my last visit for quite a while.
Christmas Eve dinner with family.
Our first and probably last visit. We arrived early before it was busy. From the start we were being rushed. The host came to table while we were eating our salads to pour our bottle of wine. Spilled a good portion on the table and their remedy was to cover it with a napkin. I had to do the blotting and clean the outside of my glass. Food arrived before we could finish our salads. Manager was indifferent, unconcerned. Food was good.
There are so many places that have equally or better food with good customer service. We dine out often and appreciate both and tip accordingly.
Wonderful food and wonderful atmosphere! Highly recommend it!
LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE. Thanks Bobby had a great time.
Our experience as always was fantastic. If I was able to give Cafe Lucci 10 stars I would. Thank you to all the staff for making our visit so enjoyable. A special shout out to Conrad for the best service you can ask for!
Café Lucci has become my favorite restaurant in the Chicago area. I travel to Schaumburg on business frequently and I always try to get in a dinner. The food is authentic and fabulous. Highly recommend the Burrata toast appetizer and any pasta with the bolognese sauce. Excellent wine list, they offer a Baby Amarone by the glass that is terrific. The front is lively, boisterous... sit in the back for a quieter dinner.
The food is always excellent, just as the service is. Wish they would dim the lights a bit as the decor is not particularly interesting, and I think we all look better by candlelight anyway!
