Cafe Lucci continues to grow on me. The staff is friendly, the food is outstanding, and individual requests that differ from the menu are always accommodated. Their wine list is crazy good and served in the finest stemware.
It is usually my first choice for date night, and my only choice when it comes to celebrating a special occasion or getting together with a group of friends.

Can’t go wrong with food and service. Waiter know the menu and happy to customize items to please your palate. Nice that they have the prices on the specials list on the chalkboard. Serious winelist. I would the best California cab selection in the burbs.

Cafe Lucci is always a favorite and does not disappoint. Wonderful food and service, it is a throwback to past times that you would expect to find in NY or Boston. Just amazing food at reasonable prices in a true Italian atmosphere. A little out of the way for us but well worth the trip!

Food was great except the temperature was low on the crab cakes. The noise level was loud, seating was tight and dark.

We got together for a ladies night. We were treated like royalty. They didn’t rushed as we spent the evening
Food was delicious.

Nice place for Italian in the burbs. The wine list is huge but approachable.

Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience dining here. We chose to dine here with family who was in town and I wish we had chosen somewhere else. The service was terrible. The waiter took 15 minutes to even come to our table once being seated. He then forgot to take two guests drink orders, never brought more bread that we asked for, forgot one of our entrees (since he didn't write down all 9 orders) and half our guests food came cold. We let the manager know how displeased we were and he credited our bill $50. However, that didn't really make up for the rather unfortunate dining experience. I truly expected much better, especially since it was a recommendation.

We first fell in love with Cafe Lucci back in the late 90's. We moved out of the area in 2003 and were looking forward to going back during business trip through the area. Unfortunately, the wonderful table side garlic mash was replaced by a pre-made, cold garlic spread. The entrees were bland which was even more disappointing as we remembered the simple yet wonderfully flavorful main courses. The service and the ambience continue to be quite good. I will continue to recommend Cafe Lucci for this and for offering an extensive selection of specials and regular menu items.

We arrived and we were seated right away. The service was good and the food was delicious, I had the stuffed pork chop my wife had the rack of lamb.

We are new to glenview and are happy to find this oasis in the suburban food desert.

Everything was good, the food, the atmosphere, the noise level. The only thing that I can say was bad was the service. There were 8 of us and we all agreed this wait was the worst we ever had. He was abrupt and didn't listen to anything we said. He would clear the plates before we we're finished. When taking away appetizers he would shovel anything bout eaten on to someone's plates without asking if that was ok. It wasn't appreciated. My brother's food came after everyone was finished eating. We understand mistakes happen but it would have been nice if we did something to make up for this. All in all he made what should have been a great experience bad. If not for him I would recommend this place.

Went there because of a friend’s recommendation and had a terrific meal. The veal literally would melt in your mouth. Our waiter was very attentive and spot on with menu preferences. We were there on a Monday and the restaurant was pretty busy. We would definitely go again when in the area.

We met up with some friends and really enjoyed our dinner and drinks. The only issue was the booth type seats were uncomfortable. Other than that everything was great. One of the people in our group wanted something that wasn’t on the menu. They were very accommodating and gave him exactly what he was hoping for.

Everything was terrific; the bartenders took great care of us while we waited for the rest of our family. Our server for dinner was helpful and did a great job. The food was outstanding- there were 6 of us, and all loved what they ordered. Dessert- wonderful selection, we got the key lime tart, tiramisu and the date sticky pudding. They were amazing. I look forward to going back here soon!

How does this restaurant get 4.5 stars?! The food is mediocre at best, the room is dark and packed with people (why?!?), and it is so noisy you literally can’t have a conversation. I’m simply stunned anyone would eat at this place more than once. Uninspired menu, completely blah dishes (even the salad was blah!), The only thing going for Cafe Lucci is the good wine list and the very nice valet parking attendant.

The food is excellent. We went at 7:00pm- seemed to be right around peak time and the noise in the dining room was too loud to hold a conversation. Much quieter when we left around 8. Older crowd.

Our first time dining @ Café Lucci. Lobster Pasta was delicious, as well as the
Cavetelli Contadina.
Will return to try other dinners on the menu.
